BlizzCon is right around the corner and we are planning a special StarCraft: Remastered exhibition match on the BlizzCon stage to celebrate this year’s launch! To make it even more epic, we would like to give our fans the opportunity to select the two players you would like to see compete on stage. The two players with the highest vote totals from the list below will play a best-of-5 match for a prize pool of $25,000. Voting will end at 10pm PST on Tuesday, October 17th, and everyone will be able to vote once per day. As thanks for participating, we will also randomly select three fans to give out the Korean 1st edition package of StarCraft: Remastered! Note: The list of players included for fan voting is based on availability and does not include those players who were contacted but were unable to participate.
Format: New polls will be put up every day from now until the 17th at 7:30pm EDT. All votes will count until the final polls on the 17th. The two winners will be announced later.
There will be two polls. Please choose your first choice in the first poll and then your second choice in the second poll.
Once you've voted in the TL polls, please post in the TL thread that you voted.
just want to see jaedong play again before his inevitable retirement Larva would be my 3rd pick if that was allowed tho, but how about no ZvZ? Feeling guilty for not picking Stork too.
Is there no way to get a 4 player tournament going with representation from all 3 races? No matter what match-up I consider, I feel like it will be severely lacking and that there's a likely possibility of a quick 3-0 stomp. For 25k, why not put a bit more effort into it?

Damn thats a good point, Was gonna go Jaedong/effort.
considering the rage moments larva has had vs last im suprised noone wants to see them play eachother, it would be both hilarious and intense, larva would do anything not to lose haha give him the chance to redeem
I've never been to blizzcon but if flash was playing I would definitely go. If I got to see flash vs jaedong live my starcraft life would be complete lol

i second that. i like these players. but in all fairness, any pick from this group will be great!
Soulkey and Rain are my favorites, but no doubt the people would vote mostly for Bisu and Jaedong. It's obvious and logical. Probably Flash is preparing for army service and that's whay he's missing, but I 'm not sure.

I confirm that this seems to be an issue to me too
I wanna see Last vs Larva. Larva is in hot form and Last could use a little vacation after his shocking exit from ASL. Well maybe it's a bad idea because if Last wins and does a live conductor ceremony Larva's gonna explode so hard in rage the pentagon might think North Korea nuked them :D
I am so torn on Jaedong. I would really like for him to get one more chance on a big international stage, but I also don't want him to fuck his wrists up anymore. On top of that, he is already one of the top earning BW players of all time, so the 25k would definitely make a bigger difference for some of the other players on the list.
Voted again for Larva/EffOrt. Can I please earmark my vote as "only if it's not ZvZ"? If my vote tie-breaks something and makes it ZvZ I want to rescind it.
please dear voters take a minute to consider jaedong, im sure somebody can put in better words but his story is quite dramatic but ill try
in a nutshell: Jaedong retired had a difficult time getting back at his former level and is still not there yet duo to unfortunate circumstances his wrist is hurting his finger even his eyes from multiple causes one of them being practicing to hard to much with to much brute force, this guy is so passionate about the game and the will to perform at his top level once again it is almost breaking him up i have never seen 1 progamer join on afreeca and showing so much passion and determation (the time he played endless 1v1's series vs progamers who would win to him going on losing streaks into the 10/15's untill he could win that opponent) its something no progamer ever showed on afreeca.

As much as I admire Jaedong's effort, I think the invitation should go to newer players such as last and larva. I wouldn't mind seeing Bisu though.

If wrist/eyes are hurting perhaps it is not a good idea to continue playing...
At least I will get to see Jaedong in a pro match one last time, assuming he doesn't decline or something. Looking forward to Blizzcon as every poll I see Jaedong in the lead by a lot.
Guess it's not really that surprising lol. Jaedong and Bisu kept leading each poll by a couple of hundred. It's too bad that neither Last or Larva managed to take a place. As much as I love Jaedong, I think it's best that he took a break to rest up and we had someone like Larva end up going. Better games and a strong TvZ (with Last) or ZvP rivalry (with Bisu). Either way, hopefully Jaedong practices hard for Blizzcon.
I think people are not familiar enough with Larva. They should know about his awesome beard and personality. With that said it's always great to see JD playing, i hope he does well and shows good games.
FlaSh gave the reason why he refused BlizzCon Showmatch.
FlaSh has severe acrophobia now and hates airplane. He can't even go on the rides at amusement park.
When he was a SC2 player, he had no choice but to go abroad as a professional player but things are different now. Besides, he refused half of the invitations from foreign tournaments in those days.
He can withstand 3~4 hours on the plane by some means or other but can't withstand 13~14 hours on the plane. His acrophobia also got worse than before.
That's interesting, sucks Flash is that scared of flying/heights. I would not have minded a Flash vs Jaedong one last time since I believe Jaedong won't be participating in the next ASL/OSL (could be wrong and hope I am, but Jaedong is not in good shape physically).
"Ultimate Title Fight: Bisu vs. Jaedong We’ll see an epic best-of-five series between this masterclass Zerg and Protoss—and, though it’s a show match, it’s not just for show: There’s a prize pool of $25,000 USD on the line"
Welp 25k on the line, now i'm really interested in that showmatch :D
Holy crap that's more than 2nd place in ASL! This is worth placing as much effort as is needed for in Bisu's upcoming ASL matches. Kinda feels like OSL and MSL is running consecutively again! :D Hope to see peak Jaedong back for his 1 last tournament. If he's gonna play like he did in ASL, he's gonna get raped..... Bisu's a monster in PvZ in streams man.... From the VODs I watched, Bisu dismantles even Larva and Soulkey almost every single game, when every other Protosses seems to be losing to zergs. How does he fking do that? Oh boy does jaedong stand a chance
this is the last time we will see jaedong?btw his eyes bleeds, hands hurts, his body doesnt even move, its obviously a person in that condition cant pass military service.

Sounds like some Uchiha users who have overused their sharingan from the narutoverse.....

Why would you ever have Twitch chat open? It's always cancerous.

He said in an interview that he has serious problems with his wrists, eyes and back when playing sc, so i guess he just had too much pain to go for 5 super long games.
End of an era though, GG WP Jaedong, thx for all the years!
JD wrists are totally shot. I don't know how to feel. All the CTE talk is making me feel uncomfortable when i watch NFL games. Now, i have to think about Jaedong being hand-fed when he's forty because of his fucked up wrists.

I always feel people are exaggerating when they are talking about how bad Jaedong's health is.
I mean, he is still sustaining an average of 300-350 APM over the span of 5 rounds. I find it hard to imagine how someone who is able to do this is a couple of years away from being in a wheelchair and being spoonfed.
Sure, his current condition might not allow him to keep being competitive at the highest level but I do not think this means his wrist health is as severe as many people think it is.
Jaedong's decision making in the last round...after a really surprising comeback from 0-2 in front of one of your most revered match up and opponent and being literally a win away from 25k dollars and possibly your last big match ever, he goes for the mass ling rush while knowing Bisu had already had knowledge of his plan after being scouted and he was already walled in.
This was the riskiest and all in play possible and he was not under any pressure at that moment because it was clearly Bisu was intending to go for the macro game...
I have never seen Jaedong looking more miserable that last night...I have grown up watching Jaedong in his prime on Youtube. My teenage years were really confusing, stressful and depressing and BW was one of the very few things that were helping me keep it together during those times. Watching Jaedong pull the stuff he was pulling back in the day gave me courage and made me feel that if you care enough about something and are really passionate about it, you can overcome adversity.
Now, I hope Jaedong will find happiness in his life after his gaming era. Thank you, sir.

If you've never had these sorts of problems from over usage, or wearing down on your body through repetitive actions then I don't think you really have room to weigh in on the discussion. Some people reach the point that JD did much quicker, like Flash. He required quite intensive surgery for it. Others, like Bisu, play even faster yet never seem to have similar issues.
There are numerous other sports out there that really weigh down your wrists and the pain that accompanies it is actually a lot worse than you'd imagine. Basically, if you're not doing anything that replicates those motions you never notice it, and can even move past it as an issue, but if you move your body in that weigh you can really get a strong jolt of shock inducing pain.
Particularly, your spine, shoulder and wrist all seem to sort of wear away around the same times with prolonged actions these guys have.
It really is something that can range from minimal discomfort all the way to extensive surgery.
Do you really think JD, who has been stating many times over (basically even left EG/secretly practiced BW) that he wants to impress his Korean fans in BW is just making excuses for his poor performance?

I was not trying at all to underestimate Jaedong's physical discomfort while playing.
I have ulnar nerve damage in my left hand. I know what playing in pain feels like. Everything above 250+ APM for more than 2-3 minutes results in my forearm contracting to the point that my fingers can barely move until the hand relaxes once again. The numbers Jaedong is touching are physically impossible for me to achieve.
My comment was addressed to those guys who keep saying that Jaedong's hands are compromised forever.
After all, you said it yourself...Flash's worn out even quicker and post-surgery he is still the strongest BW player. I don't know if Jaedong finds himself in the same position but all I was trying to call to attention is for people not to jump to apocalyptic conclusions this quickly.
JD looks like he's in a really bad space phychologically... Like he could cry any second. I hope he surrounds himself with dear, reliable people and reinvents himself to enjoy life again :o
I dont understand Korean at all but I kinda get the message of the video...
I really enjoyed last "video" where Mind and Shuttle were recording and than JD and Killer joined...They all looked like a very good friends...JD and Killer looked like best buddies and I love it !
