Hello everyone.
I was a big fan Starcraft Brood War long time ago, of course it's Starcraft Remastered now.
I am male, 30 years old and live in VietNam. I am Vietnamese. It's me a ugly boy and low income but I really love SCBW since 2003 when I was a child. My first time, I saw Starcraft game in coffee Internet (Almost people used Internet from here by the time. We haven't a computer at our home), I was falling in love it. I liked dragoons, I was keen on pylons, zealots,... I spent time so much for Starcraft and didn't forget cheat: show me the money, operation cwal,... Until I have known Slayer_`Boxer`, I don't used to cheat more and change my race to Terran.
2009 My home has the Internet dial-up (very low speed), starcraft community in VN also develop and expand very fast and large (forum to chatting and read news, private server to train and play, team for competition: proA, socute, nol,... Maybe you know proA.ThuocLao, he was the best gamer) We knew leagues in South Korea, we discuss leagues, gosu and everything from Starcraft Korea each other. We have forum to talk, share information and bet (credit in forum for fun). But few next year, most people leave Starcraft so they had to earning money, get married, play other games.
I have just bought Starcraft Remastered and created a fanpage on facebook for a few days. This game is the best all the time, so I want to introduce it to everyone in my country. Young people don't know this game now, it's terrible fact.
Anyone has experience about develop fan page on facebook. Please give me few advices.
You can see it: https://www.facebook.com/StarcraftRemasteredVN/
Thank you for your attention.

The most useful thing you can do is explain 2 things:
- the game is fun - the game is free
When people that never played starcraft watch VODs, it looks confusing and difficult. You need to show the fun side. UMS games are very fun, so maybe show a few of the interesting UMS games instead of a pro/melee focus. Also, most people don't know the game is free to play.
You can make a guide or video in Vietnamese showing how to register on battle.net, install the game, and join your first UMS or melee game. Then you can explain the difference between UMS and melee, and how people can enjoy both. That would be something useful to share with people.

@pheer. Thank for your advice, I am afraid that Starcraft so hard to learn. Young people who live my country, they like league of legends so much. Many people play starcraft for fun as you said, they play game in UMS map more than melee game. But my opinion, melee is really beautiful game, it's exactly Starcraft.

Made me laugh
Good luck anyway!
People like fun, if you make some fun events or challenges on your site, that would draw attention, you could get some people.
But I think spreading SC is an uphill battle these days. Game is so hard mechanically, and most people don't WANT that much of a challenge. SCBW may be the hardest game ever to master... So spreading it's popularity may be similar to trying to get casual hikers decide on climbing Mt Everest?

if you get some people to try 3vs3 random teams stuff, I think many new players enjoy that the most, good to learn the game try many things and GL HF good laughs switch teammates arounds etc but how? a online event at a same time every week or something like that like say two days a week at some time RDV on a channel to play 3v3s 2v2s and 1v1s? gather game reports to count everybody's wins lolz and make a leader board on win count weekly or monthly??^^ with some replays/videos of funny or cool games played by these players displayed on your FB page? just an idea, its a bit of work eh but if it works you could potentially start a good channel like that and switch around for holding the friendly competition or uploading replays etc if you would do something like this, just let people play as many games as they want within a friendly competition rather than wait and try to play the same number of games by everyone, priority to play as much as you want, easy to find opponent, no penalty for loss, you get to know people who come hang out on that channel, etc like good old days bnet^^ enhanced by.. social media lol

@niteReloaded. I understand you, but I don't give up, I like writting, talking about Starcraft with other people. That's why I created my fan page.
@ProMeTheus112. I also think about making some event, about 8 - 16 people play to follow maps and rules of ASL. It will be online, 4 player will date and play then send resutl and replay for me. But have no prize, it's only for fun.
@XenOsky-. Yes, I live in Viet Nam, ProA.ThuocLao too. He got married and have a job, so he is very busy. He has been playing Starcraft II for fun, sometimes he has been livestream on his youtube or his facebook.
