Hey everyone! Last month's trail run seemed to have been liked well enough by some of you, so I'm going to try to post these threads on a monthly basis from now on.
Some things to keep in mind
- Not all event streams may be tracked for a particular event. If they're not listed as broadcasting an even in the TeamLiquid sidebar, they probably won't be picked up. Please leave a reply if you know of an event stream that wasn't included in the stats.
- BW tracking was unfortunately broken in early 2018 (Dec 2017 - Feb 2018) which is reflected in the trend graph at the bottom. I'm going to try and make this a little more obvious in the graph itself.
- Suggestions and requests are always welcome!
Huh? What's this? I run Fuzic - which collects statistics and rankings of StarCraft live streams - and these threads are a summary of the viewer numbers for the past month.
Data is sourced from fuzic, and additional up-to-date stats may be found there. But in these threads - which I will try to post at the beginning of every month - there will be a monthly summary so you can get a quick overview of that month's viewer numbers.
Inclusion criteria The rankings list any stream that is reported on by the APIs of the various streaming services (Twitch, Afreeca, etc). I have no way of verifying to what extent someone's viewers are legitimate, and therefore will not independently ban someone from the rankings. Please do not start a(nother) discussion about this in this thread.
The lists "VxH", or "hours viewed" is the average amount of viewers multiplied by the amount of hours the streamer has streamed during that month. Basically, if for each viewer you count the amount of hours they watched the stream during the month, and add them up, you get this number. The list is sorted by this metric, as it gives a good impression of the streamer's activity through the month.
You can click the links below the charts for additional stats and a list you can sort by whichever metric you prefer.

|
I don't follow bw closely. is someone willing to give me a tl;dr on why britney is popular? i understand hes a retired pro, but he's more of a personality now? what does he do? playing or interviews or shows?

Britney streams famous tournaments. i guess thats the reason isn't it?

I believe this one is taking in account restreams but I might be wrong, look at January 2017: 250k peak

I'd need to know more about what you mean with "restream" to say yes or no to this... If a stream is live on Twitch and has viewers those viewers are taken into account, regardless of whether it's a restream or not.
Is there a specific stream you have in mind here that you think is reporting lower numbers than you expect? That'd help me make sure.

Why does Sea have a bigger viewer peak than Terror, Britney and any KSL/ASL event?

I'm realizing that the 250k peak might be the Busan Remastered event
