1st Set of games were mostly just winner getting a lead throughout the game and loser not being able to come back Set 2 had really short games with winner playing well and loser not really doing anything special/much. Nothing special but watch game 2 if you want to watch good control from winner

Leta has had the advantage ever since he hit the top right. The drop on the left expansion was a good play, and ever since, Sea really hasn't been able to beat Leta's econ.
Leta really could've done more with that push up the middle though. Would like to see a drop on the main from him. He's got enough bases to make it safe.
Really good TvT here, pity it's during the WCG series.

Leta delayed it significantly. He's going nearly all in right now with massed factories. I like that move. I don't think Sea has enough of anything to stop him here, but he needs to kill him now, or do some serious physical or positional damage.

I think he planned to take the high ground so that he could secure to expo@9 and at the min only. Smart plan, not all in at all. oops, I'm blind.
Leta is red, btw. If you are ever in doubt, enter a player's name into tlpd and see what korean name shows up.
Leta also immediately taking the gas at his brand new base at outer 3
Sea dropping leta's small forces midmap and annihilates them - now moving northwards across a minefield without scanning enough tanks/goliaths so that a-moving isn't dangerous.
Sea losing his min only. Clearly behind now. I think Leta's understanding of the map is much better. edit : But sea took out 10 ! Not sure it is enough though... Still 25 supply down.
Leta's got a way open into Sea's base now. Would be nice if he used it, but he's going to kill the top right now. Fair choice. It'd be better if he stopped letting Sea counter attack him though. He's got a large enough army to not let that happen.
Sea's attack force is pure tank - Leta moving his own forces along ground and dropship to engage Sea's forces heading northwest towards his main Sea sieges up and stops there
Leta flies his dropships overhead but doesn't drop - Sea loses a few of his drop forces to mines and Leta's goliaths
Sea unsieges after the dropships fly by - sieges up again - but leta now has set up a defense line north of Sea's tanks - Leta's main is much safer now
Leta's dropforces kill Sea's waiting SCV at outer 9.
Sea moving ground forces through inner 3 and taking out stuff there - but taking a ton of hits to the tanks on the other side of the wall at outer 3. And he concedes.

I'd love that ! Sea down to one mining base... Yeah GG :/
On August 03 2010 13:13 SubtleArt wrote: Why isn't leta mass dropping stuff on sea's sieged up pure tank army?
It's very costly if your drop forces (or additional forces moving over ground with your dropships) don't greatly outnumber your opponent's ground forces - do recall that the forces you're trying to drop will fire off sieged shots right away at whatever you drop.

If you like TvT I think those were pretty good, even though Leta was pretty more often ahead than not. Nothing amazing but fast paced and not boring at all.
Tactically Inner 3 & 9 positions are critical when there are important bases at the 3's and 9's. The other important position is the high ground at 7 and 1, and Leta controlled all of them when they were important.
It was very instructive on where the important spots on the map are. Sea burned through his minerals much faster because when he lost expos, he lost a lots of scvs along with it.

second game was VERY interesting i'd like to emulate Leta's BO to initial drop + wraiths...
Yeah, I think Leta tried to fake two port into dropship, that was pretty nice. His move to take the two nine o' clock expos was pretty smart two. And his choices of drop places and all seemed pretty good too, must have studied well the map This guy really has a nice TvT.

I was in the supermarket picking up ingredients the other day, and some poor dad walked by with a kid throwing a tantrum behind him. The kid wanted some kind of cheap little toy, and that dad wouldn't buy it. The kid just followed him, clutching the toy and saying "But I really like this! But I really like this! BUT I REALLY THINK I LIKE THIS!
Every time I watch those two horrible spoiled women cooing over some $50 bedding, and when the Marshalls logo comes up and the woman says "Oh my god, I LOVE this" I think of that little kid throwing the tantrum. I can't ever remember dreading a livestream ad more.
Light with small ground force moving towards 1.5 - a creep being added there but they divert left - to hunt lings? now they head into 1.5 - sunken finishes and light loses his timing window
On August 03 2010 13:44 dtnmang wrote: Why doesn't Light attack 1.5 while it's still freshly built?
Well light had no idea that the place lacked defense (or that it was built at all) but definitely if he moved there with his infantry earlier it would have been easy pickings
mnm right outside great's nat great smartly (lol) burrows a lone lurker at the bridge away from the others, it gets easily picked off
light takes the opportunity to try to break the 2 sunkens and one morphing
great is slow to move in with lurkerling (I thought it was doom for light) but light now murdering drones and reinforcements at great's ant
either great really sucking today or he didn't care about the games at all that was disappointing, I wanted to see Light's TvZ - but not against someone who didn't perform.
