I would give Flash about an 70% chance of winning that series without practice, 85% if he does. I give similar odds for JD and action. I would give more for JD/Action but it's ZvZ. In the MSL he's already in the finals against his greatest rival, he'll definitely be practicing a ton for that. Personally, he's never given me that image. He's a lot better when it comes to macro and large army clashes, during the mid and late game, but his early game play is the weakest of all the best terrans. Time and time again, its because of this weakness that we see him play tons and tons of comebacks against pretty much every terran that has existed. If I was a fan and I knew Flash would take Leta lightly, I'd be very worried for him. Leta isn't any scrub, the only thing stopping him from beating Flash is his mental immaturity. I don't imagine Flash thinks he can get through Leta without practicing; his attitude after the game seemed to show that he knew he got really lucky that day.

I don't imagine Flash thinks he can get through Leta without practicing; his attitude after the game seemed to show that he knew he got really lucky that day. All I know is that if I were in his place I'ld practice for the final that I'm already in not the final which I could make if I win two more series. Add to that the fact that the final is against his greatest rival, the fact that Flash just has to win 1 out of the next 2 vs Leta, and that Flash has been practicing TvT nonstop almost for a few weeks and I just cant see him prioritizing or even putting much serious time into the series vs Leta. I don't know how to convey what I was going for with the TvT mechanics portion, I suppose I just mean macro there, but you're right that's not Flash's real strength in the matchup. Flash's real strength in the matchup is more strategy oriented, he knows where/when its important to push and he knows where/when its important to defend. As for Flash's chances without practice I'ld say a 70% chance of moving on without serious practice is being somewhat generous to Leta. With Flash not practicing I would say that both Flash and Leta stand equal chances of winning the games. So running down quickly - Flash has a 50% to win in the first game, if he doesn't he stands a 50% chance to advance from the second game which gives 0.5+0.5*0.5 = 0.75. If you give Leta a a 55/45 advantage this turns into 0.45+0.45*0.55 = 0.69. I believe it unlikely that Leta stands even a 55/45 advantage against an unpracticed Flash. That said if you did this analysis for a BO5 vs most other people he BO5's (not JD) I'ld say you'ld on average come up with numbers much higher than 69-75% chance of advancing so you are right Flash fans should be more worried than usual for him.

That or a sufficient advantage and presence that you can safely transition into SK terran, while wearing away, and preventing further expansions. I say wearing away because it's difficult or near impossible to kill a zerg who has defilers. If you are unsuccessful early game, the only way maintain parity in economy is to 'turtle', and to play the late game, and that only can only work with mech. That's not to say that terran players are worse than zerg players; only that the game has reached a point where transition is necessary. It's like saying that a Zerg player is inferior to a terran player because they have to use hive tech - because lets face it, the lurker ling defiler combination is equally imbalanced. BC's are awesome and underused in TvZ imo! I hope to see them more.
