PvP's on gladiator for set 1 and 5 might be interesting with the abundance of ramps and positioning for flanks. Whoever wins game 1 should win the set by 3-2.

jangbi moving forces into mini's nat...mini's reaver is out! with shuttle! mini holds - jangbi takes too much damage from the scarabs and has to pull back!!
mini engages jangbi's larger goon army midmap before his shuttle/reavers arrive but now they come to support he insists on fighting a lot more goons... and loses everything
Jangbi moves a probe to his nat, probes mini's nat with his own forces intricate control by both players - but mini loses as jangbi focuses on pulling back damaged goons
jangbi breaking into mini's nat - overcomes the goons and shuttleless reaver! another dt revealed to attack the army jangbi walls off his main with 2 forges

Depending on your POV (Pro-Kespa), it is.
By allowing non-Kespa players into OSL2, it places an enormous amount of pressure on Kespa players. If they get owned there, then the entire PL will lose prestige and legitimacy.
Jangbi had an obs that spotted the drop, he reacted quickly and the probes were on the run when the scarabs came out, and they really often dud in that situation, not that much luck imo.

jangbi jangbanged mini in the two games
Oh well, going to watch the vods anyway
well, being serious though:
1st game: mini goes 3 gate reaver and jangbi goes 4 gates. Bad engagement on the middle, mini lose shuttle+2 reavers and jangbi advances to his natural while expanding. Mini goes for DT and a clutch observer wins jangbi the game
2nd game: mini manner pylon jangbi 4 times, but jangbi controls the whole game by having superior info, then proceeds to an easy victory with a better micro/macro

reaver out - picked up by shuttle! jangbi losing more goons but not actually that far behind reaver waddling out with 5 goons supporting parting blow takes out 2 more goons, mini pulling back
Somehow Jangbi comes out on top of the fight! He considers going for the 3 o'clock base but pulls back as Mini's reinforcements come in. Jangbi opts to stabilize, taking the 12 o'clock gas base.
jangbi's 4th online...mini's forces still wandering around - but he moves north towards the 4th! storm! 2 reavers dropped to support jangbi evacuates his 4th and gives ground

After that big battle in front of minis nat where jangbi came out ahead and than turned to minis 3rd,mini just skyrocketed in supply he suddenly went from being like 6 supply ahead to like 40 pretty quick.Idk what happened but pretty sure something went down with jangbis eco after that reaver shot as well.I didn't see how many probes went down but it didn't seem that big that it would completely cripple jangbi.

I noticed that during the micro skirmishes before the big battle, mini was banking a lot of cash. Jangbi was able to even up the supply for a minute because mini's macro slipped a little.
I'm sorry for Mini who began to play godly too late. His PvZ amazed me vs ZerO. But I am happy that JangBi go in semi ! Gogo win your 2nd OSL in a row and the last BW OSL ever!
Well, the series was mostly a game of nerves and Jangbi had the presence of mind to overcome his for the most part, unlike mini (game 3 much?). This resulted in a one sided stomp, but I guess Khan Tosses are scary Now he has to practice PvZ and learn how not to cancel cannons a la Horangee. I had the feeling Jangbi would go far since the group selection ceremony, but repeat finals are a real possibility... Slow down, will 'ya?

It's like KeSPA is trying to hide that fact that it is changing the game by acting like it's all one continuous tournament
So fucked up. The two players that get the seeds by being in the finals that will mark the end of a legacy will be putting themselves at a disadvantage and have the least amount of time to prepare for the next season, then they'll just be eliminated straight away by the people who have been playing for 2 years. What the hell Kespa... This transition is way too rushed with no respect for the players or fans.
Just finished watching gorush vs themarine vod. The "Here I stand" MTV where they flashbacked to the old OSL winners(I recognized Grr, Garimto, Reach, Nada) almost brought me to tears. They were before my time in terms of watching BW, but it's amazing how long the game has lasted, and so damn sad to see this game coming to the end of its run.

Considering it's a completely different game. I'd agree.
Diablo 3 is a completely different game, Starcraft 2 is quite similar to Starcraft 1...doh! The fact that former good SC1 players are very good at SC2 is the best proof. The mechanics are the same micro/macro, a lot of units are similar... I have a feeling that Flash will be good at macro in SC2 also

Do you know if they've updated Jangbi on the OSL wall yet? When I left in December, they still hadn't added him to it. And he's not standing in front of it here either :<
Has anyone been able to find that OSL champions montage they showed at the end? It ended with the 'Starleague 1' screen. I was hoping it would be on Nate but that is not the case
I wanted Mini to win so bad.... unfortunately he made a lot of engagement errors, most times it was if his shuttle+reaver weren't synced with his dragoons, other times was him deciding to engage uphill.

They are waiting for him to win this one so they can put double one.
I haven't been able to watch games 2-4 yet but I hope they are good. I really hated the way these brackets worked out in the Ro8 :\. This whole OSL I wanted to watch mini play more PvZ, but instead he gets matched up with the ONE other protoss in the league instead of one of the 4 zergs :\.
the side of the bracket is weird too. I would say that jangbi definitely has the best shot at beating flash/fantasy in the finals out of him/mini/hyvaa/zero, but he will have a very hard time against hyvaa/zero in the semis (probably unfavored to make it out). however mini is so good at pvz lately that he would be favored to beat zero/hyvaa, but is most likely of the bunch to die a horrible 0-3 vs flash/fantasy.
oh well, here's hoping to a better than normal ZvZ Bo5 and then a great PvZ semifinal with jangbi.
still, it really would of been so much better if flash/fantasy could meet in the finals and not semifinals.

I think they've added him, the camera focused on his picture on the wall at one point during the match.
Fun series overall! Game 1 was definitely the game of the night with the clutch forge block and probe drill. Game 2 could have been better, but mini really fucked up going uphill so recklessly. Awesome comeback for Game 3! I don't really remember Game 4 too well, but it's kind of sad this is the last PvP of the OSL forever.

Mini had no luck in game #1. His robo was out so fast but first he lost the shuttle defending then he lost shuttle + reavers. Tech switch into DTs only to get jangblocked. That game proved that even though he's hilariously behind - Jangbi can take the win. Like he did vs. Fantasy game 5. Like Jaedong & Flash always did in their prime. Jangbi deserved to advance and nerves got to Mini and made his micro slip so he lost the shuttle. A promising future is ahead of him and I hope he becomes as good in SC2. Really wish we had more time with BW. Why can't it always be 2008? What an amazing game.

I think that Mini was too impatient. It felt like watching a Civil War between Aiur and Shakuras where JangBi is an experienced HT while Mini is an hot shot DT rookie trying to be all fancy and watnot. But JangBi with superior meticulousity trumped Mini at every single turn. I also feel bad for him because he did try his absolute best but just those tiny details that JB managed to capitalize on. JB was calm throughout the entire series.
Oh man if only there was MSL/OSL/Full time BW PL running side by side now. These up and coming players will get much more play time and garner enough confidence in themselves for the big stage.
That series made me feel really bad for Mini. His scarabs would not hit. He went 3-gate into robo vs a 4-gate. The robotics facility was 1 or 2 hits from dying before the observer popped out. Even when he manner pyloned like crazy, he didn't gain a lead. And he lost most of the field battles decisively. Most of these things are a credit to Jangbi. Hero probes, better reaver placement when harassing, better shuttle control (though a flub here or there), better engagements, and better under pressure. But still, I couldn't tell if Mini was just outmatched, or if the universe dictated that this was not his time.

The series results have been determined from game 1. Mini was overly eager. He had 2 Reavers in shuttle and a bigger number of Dragoon count after taking the lead against JB in the encounter. He also have an extra base faster than JB's. But instead he decided to Overextend his army to face against JB's reinforcement in which he could have just pulled back and play passive. Then his guys got decimated by superior positioning.
Game 2 was him being too cocky about himself with 3 or 4 Manner Pylons in which JangBi just shrugged off.
Both of these games showed his mentality that he indeed has the potential to go further in his ability to play but his mindset is totally wrong and need a fix on those kinks. He needs to come back with sturdier fortitude and serenity.
Mini made a LOT of mistakes like engaging uphill, chasing with 2 reavers but dragoons outnumbered, shuttle placement etc. He had slight BO advantages but always threw them away. Nerves and lack of experience, Jangbi -is- the veteran in this matchup anyway, having gathered so much experience from the time of the 6 dragons.
Really disappointed because Mini could have done so much better, but Jangbi played so well he deserves to advance.

I didn't see any dud scarabs that weren't suppose to dud. They're your normal dud scarabs because Jangbi pulled his probes right. And Jangbi would've had game 3 if he didn't poke in too far with his reavers. So it's not like Mini didn't have breaks go his way. Overall, he was outplayed.
And from the PvPs I've seen over the years, bad engagements are what usually separates the younger guys from your top protosses. They have great macro and micro, nice build orders, good army composition. But knowing when and where to fight is what separates the top from the rest.
I watched the 4 games and i agree with above poster, Jangbi had much better engagements than Mini. First game even tho he was behind, Mini got overeager and lost his advantage, second game Jangbi got a really good engagement which let him contain Mini and then get an eco advantage with a faster Nexus. I found intesresting how mini pulled Jangbi's army away from his nat by faking a reaver drop and then returned to his base when he killed Jangbi's observer.
3rd game I cannot believe how Jangbi lost his first reaver, he already had a shuttle which was way out of position, he lost way too many probes, however he also got an amazing engagement which made the game even. Then I think he made a horrible blunder with probes, sending them back when there wwas still a shuttle in his 3rd. Last game, Mini out of position, loses a ton of probes and does not commit to an attack, which prob would have failed anyways, then when Jangbi was out of position, he didnt lose as many probes as Mini did, and he was able to kill mini's natural. Overall, I think mini lacked some experience in engagements. Too bad he had to play against Jangbi, he has an amazing pvz :/

Yeah, Mini has shown us some crazy good PvZ. You can't go far in OSL with only one good match-up, though, and his games against Protoss and Terran players were nothing special.
