Hello~ Just came in. Xellos said that they were talking in the bathroom between the two before and they talked about how they shouldn't do humiliating games and that they hope to bring back some old memories. The OGN commentator asked: did you practice? Xellos said: No not really, I did a little. Which Ra took the mic and said: WTF you told me you didn't practice a single game in the bathroom.
Nal_Ra apparently asked for GoRush (Park Tae Min Go Rush in english I think?) to come because he takes a shit load of time to get ready and he wanted Min to suffer.
That's Nal's either teacher or girl friend (not GF I think?) they apparently went to school together. Apparently Ra didn't do shit during school. and the OGN commentator asked: how's he doing in the military? friend replied: Meh. 50% trying (대충)

Xellos: I am happy with the Legends matches. It's like a nostalgic walk with players like NaDa being the most remembered. I'm a bit scared that it's Ra but overall I feel so excited that I'm matched with a player of his caliber. Ra: I miss the old days and I am matched with players like NaDa, like Reach so it's nice.
In the past, the three terrors were NaDa, Oov and Xellos. While Xellos was slightly below them, during when Oov was called the Monster, it seemed that Xellos was the only person that could do anything to Oov.
Nostalgia is a map with no gas on the expand which would have made current progamers rage, but back then, the OGN commentator observed the map being built and they agreed that Nostalgia would be a balanced map: as seen by the stats on the screen. Hence used for 4 seasons

God, i hated this map, close spawn PvT was so hard to stop 2 base timing push from terran
Ra basically made Double Nexus. OGN Commentators are saying that it was only thanks to Ra that in the current brood war scene is double nexus a standard against terran and zerg. When Ra played, he was the only one that did it.
Park Tae Min: He believes that the setting would not take so long if we just put a box of tissues in the damn booths. He remembers waiting a shit ton of time for Ra and it's a nightmare. Ra = nightmare setting
ra: yo my mineral gathering rate is really low xellos: ohhh you're at that starting spot? ra: ya map revision plz xellos: going to check if you're there ... xellos: lol

Well, you cant use tissues as toilet paper, so if you had to pick one, I would go with the toilet paper and just use a bit more for really wet noses. If you're lazy and don't want to buy both toilet paper and tissues, toilet paper is the way to go

I do that too when Im sick and have to blow my nose every 2mins. When Im home sick I rather spend TP because it is cheaper and I can save tissues for when I have to go out in those situations. lol and im not the only person who does this here, its not a thing everybody does but a lot of people do.
Ra: Everyone watching Sorry for the bad game. I hope everyone will enjoy the games! I will now... walk away. Xellos God damn it stop shooting my shit down. i'm going to die before I gg. Good Game gg

they're based on chinese names, so it's not terribly common but it's not unusual either. there are some with 4 characters too

two letter korean names aren't unheard of. It's just that 3 letter ones are much more common.

Nal_ra's name is Kang Min. Each of the "parts" that you're talking about in the Korean language represent one syllable. Nal_ra's name is only two syllables including the surname. Most Korean names are three syllables ie. Seo Ji Hoon (Xellos) so yeah I guess it could be considered unusual.

Well it's rare, but not at all strange or unusual, the connotation sounds weird if you call it unusual.

Yeah huge muta advantage snowball easily. Tough spot for Zero, 12 pool against 12 hatch scouted first seems like a pretty hard situation to come back from. Hyvaa played that well too, despite the ling engagement.

Personnally I think ZerO would be better because his ZvT is more interesting. Plus ZerO should have a bit more chance against Jangbi, whom I hope he'll lose the final badly in a 0-3 fashion, preferably to 3 all ins.

How is Soo supposed to get through Flash / Fantasy / even shine?
How was hyvaa supposed to troll through the prelims/group stages? Well he did
Hyvaa can be a very smart player, which is why he sometimes shits over many of the larger stars who end up doing huge tactical blunders. Soo is pretty decent but I seriously can't see him beating Fantasy. Teamkill or no teamkill, unless the SKT coach tells Soo to zergling rush and Fantasy to 14CC every game, I can't see Fantasy losing. The skill difference in every single way is just too much.

whoa that is evil ive never thought of that happening!
dunno, 12 pool is probably the least stable BO when it has an advantage. 9 pool has extremely fast tech. should you survive the initial lings, early mutas force you to spore up and put you in an awkward position.
Despite the opening working out in hyvaa's favor, ZerO manages being awesome, and defeats the forces of evil. GOOO ZERO! A victory to all that is good in the world, and the awesomeness that is BW.
(he's my favorite Zerg, I may be slightly biased).

it's okay we tend to label something we don't want it to win as evil most of the time .
On June 19 2012 21:12 nok.jp wrote: hyvaa... I thought he had a game... what happened??
He should have put a second spore at nat, and not went out with his lings when the ling attack was the most likely. He thought ZerO droned up, so it's kind of a bad read, but I disagree with the risk he took anyway, because it was not going to do major damage anyway. So all in all, pretty big mistake I think.

ZerO, Flash, fantasy and Jangbi in the semis would be an absolute pleasure for the Ro4. It would be a good representation of the culmination of styles, technique, excellence, creativity, and stories. Flash's last chance to be the most decorated BW player of all time. fantasy's final chance to leave Flash's shadow, and set himself as one of the great Terrans this game has known; raised to be the heir of BoxeR and oov, one SL win is not nearly enough. Jangbi, after a long time, can finally join Bisu and Stork as the three greatest Protoss of BW history. Finally ZerO, the last true Zerg innovator; his creativity and immense talent have never been questioned, but with moments of genius, his moments of failure always come, can he in his one last shot bring it all together, and show the player we all know he can be and stun the world?
Those four players would be perfect for the last OSL. The favorite, the hottest player at the moment, the defending champion, the perfect dark horse.

Well it really depends on your judgement, half of Flash vs anyone in finals were "as bad". Because BW is not played in a "vacuum" were only crystal clear play counts which is in most cases is unachievable in grand finals were mistakes are kinda bound to happen.

Still GGplay vs Iris trashes all of Flash finals.
Zero played extremely well in ABCMart, the three games were absolutely brilliant. I agree on Daum final, but then it's probably the best OSL final ever, so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove. You seem to think that my opinion is due to my fanboyism. I am indeed a Flash fan. But I'm also a Stork fan and a Fantasy hater, and I thought Fantasy 3-0ing Stork was a great final. I'm also very tired of the "it was an amazing storyline" argument. Anyway, this semi more or less guarantees a good final and a good semi final. The rest should be great too, I'm optimistic for the rst of this OSL.

The one game Zero had a chance to show what he is best at - late game management - he played quite a way below his best with poor lurker and defiler control, though Flash was in a great position by then anyway. He at least played better against valkonic in this game (3set) than he did in the first game, which was very onesided. The second set was the most disappointing, imo. 3 hatch gas pool vs rax cc 5 rax, he looked in great shape but never tried to ambush the reinforcing marines, had the mining at his 3rd denied by a few marines and scouted the mech switch but seemed completely unprepared for vultures in his nat. Blehhh... Flash does that to people, I guess.
Of course, if you like seeing one player combining mastery and clinical preparation, then that final (and Fantasy > Stork) could be quite enjoyable. I prefer sloppy but competitive, but to each his own

to be honest, i hate pvz as a match up. there was a disgustingly large amount of pvz last season. but not just that, as a match up it's relatively dull. it's extremely slow to start, and zerg wins are generally hydra busts whereas toss wins are just everything else. maybe it's the poor quality of games recently though.

chill the fuck out.
Zero's gonna win easily against Jangbi. His ZvP is pretty sick, especially in series play, and Jangbi's 2gates are terrible lol.
I'm debating who to pull for in a Flash/Fantasy semis. I really want Flash to win the 4th osl and seal his legacy... but Fantasy has tenacity and sheer ingenuity over Flash. Zero/Jangbi vs Fantasy should guarantee entertaining finals. Flash finals just aren't adrenaline inducing. When his builds work, they work too well and his opponent gets steamrolled. When they don't he dies a slow agonizing death. Never much room for suspense.
just saw vods, sucked that they cut off weirdly. But set 3 cut off after zero defended ling aggression, so I just assumed he would win as I thought he was ahead (edit: missed big scourgie cloud though)
Jangbi vs Zero will be Hydras vs Cannon for 3-5 games. We'll be lucky to see a single pair of scourge. As good as jangbi is, his strength come after he finishes teching.

Someone beating flash in a BoX that wasn't fixed, in 2010, is a awesome thing. Jinair is bad if you look at: G1: 12 nex advatage into win G2: Prevent cheese into win G3: Fantasy looked like he had no plan other than to defend the first harass (2 shuttles? GG) G4: Good game. G5: Fantasy doesn't adapt, shows bad gol micro, and bad macro
We all know how Flash vs Zero went. We all know how Fantasy vs Zero has gone this season. We know how good Shine is at ZvZ And we know how Fantasy has never lost to his teammate in the OSL.
You guys are assholes, he realized in that last minute it was the final tournament game of BW he was going to play in his career and his frustration boiled over into attacking his own pool for a bit
The guy has passion for the game and that was it. It's over now.
I couldn't help but feel sad for him.
This coming from a guy who doesn't like hyvaa. Not after he crushed Bisu's and Jaedong's OSL hopes.
But I mourn with him about the goodbye we all have to say to pro BW tournaments eventually.

Well, it's going to be an emotional time for everybody, in the end though there can only be one champion.

I think he was being optimistic about it. It was all for the comedic effect. ZerO on the other hand looked FAR worse than hyvaa even though he won. Says a lot about the man's confidence.
Just hope that this OSL will generate the biggest buzz ever so that the epic may continue.

How so? The only game he lost was 12 pool vs 12 hatch and he won all the other games with great scouting and micro. I really don't understand your argument...

To be fair, I always thought ZerO looked a bit shaky ZvZ.
It's his ZvT that I love watching when he's in form.

Did you see his expression afterward? Not even one slight crack of smile.

If you're debating why do you have not only a KT tag but also "Flash" in your sig. It's fine that you are a fan of more than one player, but I just hate when people so openly declare themselves to support a player only to be less than 100% supportive. Maybe you should have a sig that more accurately reflects your feelings.

calm down, I trust that flash doesn't want his fans to bicker at each other for silly things like this either.

I really hate Hyvaa as much as Bisu fans hate Shine for knocking out players that I like, but seeing him in game 4 attacking his own pool was just so heartbreaking . I felt like I was about to cry. I can't imagine how bad I'll feel for whoever loses in the finals, even if it's soo or fantasy(if they get past flash).
Dudes can somebody translate the Legends matches? They talk so much fun and its the last of their televised games. I felt bad for Nal_Ra he was really unhappy with that loss.
ZZZZEERRRR00000! Yes, so glad to see a Woongjin Zerg moving on to the Ro4 (even though it's not Soulkey qq), he has a tough opponent waiting for him for sure...
Hate for Shine is so funny, jeez. Its players like him who prevents others to play like a dumbasses, if there was no cheese bastards like Shine, Fantasy, Flash, Kwanro, Bisu or Calm, we would have a planty of players playing all the same all the time. Hyvaa in other way is not cheese but lucky
