Doubt it. He had all the time and resources to delay and go hive if he wanted. He just thought "meh I hav nuff, gg over for diz nub! lol" and then 1as and perpares to celebrate... and then "fuck bw tanks + stim marines! fuck gg"
jaehoon made the smart decision to pull probes and he also was really patient before engaging, and had some really close warps in at the end to hold the push!
but i like the build, i think it had potential if he had tried to harass + expand instead of pulling his scvs he could have bunkered up and still done a lot of damage.
lol wtf what game was that??? that was crazy hahaha

Don't know if it was mentioned or anyone saw, but Jaedong's infestor control was beautiful. I'm not sure if he individually selects the closest one or it just happened by chance, but he also shift queues them back after laying on the fungals, instead of having all his infestors headbutting the toss army. Exxxxxcellent.
jd looks young again When he was getting owned by flash in '11 he just looked old and depressed all the time. sc2 seems to give him new hope and refresh his spirit

i saw it too. pretty scary what these bw guys can do to sc2 once they get really comfortable with it.
They are doing it the Jaedong way - lose first, get pissed, destroy the ground with them. (I've always wanted to get full stats of all time for winning a series after losing the first game - which I think Jaedong may come on top of - and also something that he shares with his idol, Stephano)

While it's probably too late to matter this season, I imagine Clide will do similar things for KT.
I have a feeling the suddenly and mysteriously teamless Naniwa will end up on a KeSPA team soon, since he's not technically a GSL Player. I doubt they'll use him this season, but just to have an experienced SC2 pro in the house and have him for next season.

Not a lot of players do it in SC2 because of the convenience of smart-casting
Jaedong is also one of the few Zergs to use multiple (more than 2) army hotkeys, even among BW players. For some odd reason a lot of BW players have developed 1-hotkey syndrome, which makes little sense considering they've been using multiple hotkeys for years.

Don't all zergs use at least 3 hotkeys? I use 3. 1 for lings/baneling, 2 for muta or baneling if no muta, 3 for infestor. I saw flash games, he used 1 but he boxes his units a lot

SC2 has a lot of easy ways to do things that are pretty good, but not really good. You don't need multiple hotkeys until you've been playing long enough that 1A is instinctive. I remember Destiny saying once that he had a playstyle that got destroyed by drops, and was about to abandon it entirely before discovering "2". You start doing things the easy way, and don't stop until it's getting in your way.

While I agree I think JD is closing the gap. I also think that Baby has been eased into SC2 in a way JD hasn't. For the most part I feel like Baby has gotten more favorable matchups to slowly build up his confidence whereas it has felt, at least to me, that JD has just kind of been tossed into the fire.
Baby is so fun to watch though and I can't wait to see his progression. I hope he gains a level of consistency he never really developed in the BW. He was always kind of streaky and never seemed to reach his ceiling.
Anyway... this has been the happiest I've been as a JD fan in a LONG time.

I think that is where Jaedong usually trump other sc2 players.. Using single hotkey can never be as good as using multiples...and jaedong's insane apm helps him to do multitask perfectly in sc2 where in sc its very hard.. I can see when HOTS will come out...Jaedong will be the first sc2 bonjwa (if he can delay, military service hopefully)

True fact: There was a patch that reduced the speed of the infestor, and Idra said it was a buff because it meant your infestors wouldn't run ahead of your army and get killed, and it was the most depressing SC2 related thing I ever heard him say

It's definetly possible to achieve something similar or at least close in SC2 even if you consider the game flawed...there used to be NvZ in SC2 for quite a while but it's been long gone.

Uhh I want JD to succeed too but you're nuts.
Have you seen JD's BW ZvT?
JD's ZvT over the last two PL seasons is hovering around 50%, including two terrible losses to fucking Canata. One of those losses was to a +3 air attack valkyrie build. Shameful. JD's last OSL ZvT was to Rush where he threw away a midgame advantage and didn't even make it out of the ODT.
JD's doing just fine in SC2. Shit, I'm happy for that and have been cheering him on. But JD's BW ZvT has gone from great to mediocre *before* the SC2 transition and it's only gotten worse, while Fantasy has only been getting better. Saying stuff like "favored in a bo5 vs most players including fantasy" will only get you laughed at.

Flash dominated 10 and 11..but his play has dropped this year...well we can say that sc2 is the reason... but fantasy still couldnt create that aura that jaedong and flashed created...
