That reverse transfer to the main was so fucking smart. Show Movie a low drone count to pretend it's all-in when instead he's expanding. He also showed the drone move out though, which is a bit confusing. Maybe it's like a reverse tell where Movie thinks that the expo drone is a fake and counts the drones to confirm it's all-in, when in fact the expo drone is real and the drone count is fake. So sick.
Forces 7 cannons with almost no hydras and then just makes 3 hatches at bottom right. I actually can't get over how fucking baller this opening was from Larva.
Clever from larva more than overreaction, movie thought it was 3hatch hydra bust, but instead larva just takes gateway and forge while double expanding. Movie won't have the gateways or zealot count or +1 to be able to punish it, so larva pretty much just took the game there.
Of course, protoss OP and maybe can come back.
EDIT Like that! Hatchery sniped. Not a game winner and he lost the shuttle/reaver, so I'd say larva still ahead.

I think I'm going to show the opening of that game tomorrow during GC to do some analysis. The more I think about it, the more I realize just how ridiculously intelligent it was. I've actually never been so happy to see a protoss lose.

yeah that attack up the high ground from sexy, he saw it and was like oh i think i can break that, and takes a calcaculated risk, but it didnt go so well. Like watching a chess game and even know those players see up to like 8 moves in, u miss the gm plays(flash) where he can see 20 moves in
damn that game was great, with sexy opening and controlling better at first but than kkong was so solid, slowly cutting down the map (even taking that 9'oclock base which in a split map, the way he was splitting it he would already have one of the hardest bases to take, also it was a good risk casue he felt a bit behind and opted for a hidden expo)
and than sexy with some really questionable moves, like moving up the high ground into kkong, where he's rally point would be close by. Sexy saw only like 4 tanks, and he thought he could take it,(plus he had been poking at the 12 oclock base for a while, drawing units up there) because there might have been a chance that the units at the rally, had moved too far away and he could take an excellent postion if it had worked, but i guess he didnt consider the consequences of it not working, or misjudged how badly it could go. Like i imagine someone like Flash would have thought well IF the rally point is there well i dont break it, and i lose way more tanks and it definitely not worth it just because of that IF the rally units was close by (which it was)
and than the sizeable drop at the 9 from sexy where there a bunch of turrets, and again sure it would have been great if he had that position and kkong was slow to react, but its like he didnt think about later on, and what losing those dropships mean. He was put on the defensive with so many drops ships lost, that kkong just power through into sexys main knowing it wouldnt have the drop ship mobility to defend effectively he had to bring all the tanks from the left side of the map to defend and they move soooo slowly, he was just geting further behind each time with his decisions and kkong playing safely and waiting and punishing mistakes omg TvT is sooo good
why did they pause? <@snipealot> it fluctuates a lot <@snipealot> they said something about water <@snipealot> okay movie was thirsty <@snipealot> he couldn't play without something to drink
The setting and everything about the itembaystarleague feels like msl ...... with lee sung won and carrier casting this is like the greatest thing ever we could ever hope for broodwar. Thank you op and everyone todays game have been enjoyable hahahaa .
The sounds of Lee Seung Won and Kim Carry casting (along with copious amounts of YeonJi screentime) do indeed bring about some calm and cheerfulness to me. I actually feel optimistic about this BW thing! Brings me back to happier times!

If you're talking about the regular Ro32+onward matches, then it's a lot smaller than SPL, OSL, and MSL because it's hosted at a much smaller place. If you're talking finals though, then this is what SSL7's finals looked liked. Also, this

Also take notice that today, most of the attendees were youngsters. BW awesomeness still captivating new generations.
