Judging from Jaedong's reserved streaming style (relative to Flash's/Bisu/s energetic streams), I thought Jaedong was always like that.

Lol, that is just silly. On April 25 2017 23:38 Levque wrote: The maps are hurting this tournament. Yeah, the new map seems really unbalanced, Terran is really strong on it in both matchups and Protoss is really limited in their possibilities to play it. Outsiders was always a fun but unbalanced map. Especially without the team houses to really train and break maps down I don't think having 2 wonky maps in a map pool of 3 was a good idea. It did not give us many good games. Really really looking forward to the Ro16, man I am so happy that Brood War is back and growing!

That would suddenly make it much harder for him. Yes, there are two pools. And players who played in ro16, can't face each other again in ro8.

Soulkey could be trouble for him, but I think Bisu's biggest threat in his group would be effort since they have a very high chance to meet in the winners match. I feel more confident with Bisu vs Sea right now for winners because Bisu has been absolutely crushing terran lately. I also like seeing so many zerg heavy groups such as A and D. They will be canceling out their high numbers before Ro8. Group A is guaranteed to lose 2 zerg. Meanwhile Group C is guaranteed at least 1 protoss to move forward. We might even get 2 brotoss from group C. Also, notice that Flash skipped trading effort to group D. Potentially losing either JD or Effort. He would much rather pit effort against Bisu and Sea. FUUUK this is getting good already!

I suspect 3 hatch with a bit more drones for the mineral only, into lurkers with mass ling and early carapace upg. Then take another main. Then mass up behind defilers while taking more bases. Some z will go for drops before defilers to abuse the min only and large terran main, and at the same time expand to the island. It'll be easier to open than other maps since z has more minerals to fight the 5 rax. T will probably rush to dropship to abuse the big main of the 4th base. Some terrans will probably avoid the 5 rax build and go for a 3-4 rax into mech to get earlier tanks/vessels. If the zerg is vertical, they will push. If horizontal, they will take the side expo and push. If across, take side expo and center while pushing.

I actually happen to be going through the VoDs for 2008 EVER OSL right now, and that's pretty much what all the Zergs were doing on Andromeda. Of course, Terran meta back then was focused a lot more on defensive play while getting their tech up, but I think the mass ling/lurker style will probably fit well even against the newer styles. I think overall the map tends to favor the Zerg player unless the Terran can get a really solid 5th base down.

I would definitely like to see Flash play a TvZ on it though, he'll be invincible. You can take the back expo and use tanks on the high ground in the main for defense etc...

I'm hoping to see Bisu and Effort/Soulkey to advance. I can see Sea losing to any of the players but he is the runner-up from last season so who knows. As for Group D, must suck for Jaedong to be in the same group as Last. Last is such a strong player, sSak really screwed things up for him. sSak is definitely the weakest in the group especially if he isn't practicing like they say. Still, hero's ZvZ isn't shabby and Last is strong in TvZ so I think Jaedong might be in trouble... Mist was nice but map size would hurt in ZvT imo. Ideally it would replace camelot...
