If a player disconnects then both players can decide amongst themselves if they regame or not. If no decision is made then the game will go to the person who didn't DC.
In the event of a walkover being necessary there are three possible scenarios.
1 - Player A OR Player B attempts to contact Player B/Player A but gets no response. - In this case the player who attempted contact via discord and the thread will get the walkover
2 - Player A AND Player B both make contact to play as they can't play at the default time, but one player doesn't show up to their agreed time. - Person who shows up at agreed time will get the walkover.
3 - Player A AND Player B both make contact, but no time is ever arranged or cannot be agreed on. If no time is agreed on then rules will default to the default time. Whoever does not show up at this time after 30 minutes will recieve the loss.
Now for a special albeit short pre-tournament interview with the head coach of SouL Gaming Fujikura!
Fujikura: We're not "worried" about anyone
Q. So you're the head coach of SouL Gaming, tell us about yourself. A. Hi, I'm Fujikura! I run SouL Gaming, we've been around since 2008, but we took a break when SC2 came out and I ran several tier 1 and tier 2 esports teams like Checksix Gaming, Its Gosu and Quantic gaming in titles like SC2, LoL, Dota2, CS:GO and COD. SouL Gaming is an international team, we have players from Latin America, like Dandy and UltrA. We also have a few Koreans like Miso and Scan. We are the Pan American Team League season 1 champions so essentially we rein over NA/SA.
Q. So what are your thoughts on STPL A. We love team leagues and we are definitely looking forward to it, Qikz is a cool dude great organizer and caster and I support his endevours, big fan!
Q. Your strongest player? A. Our strongest players are Miso and Scan I would give a slight edge to Miso based on experience and well having qualified for ASL 5, unfortunately Scan ran into some bad luck.
Q. Who are you most concerned about facing? A. We're not "worried" about anyone but our toughest opponent on paper would be [WHITE].
Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain Incomplete!
Incomplete: We fight for the power of love!
Q. So, tell us about ReV. A. I am Incomplete.ReV, started playing when my cousin introduced me to it in around 2001-2002. Didn't really start playing online until 2005 and joined ReV around 2005-2006. I've always been pretty crap at the game, but I do quite enjoy it nonetheless.
As for the clan, it was originally an Italian clan that was founded in 1998. At the time, it was friends hanging out and having fun and such. I don't quite know too much about the clan in its earlier years, as I didn't join until some years later. When I joined, it had become much more international and was lead by Mendip[ReV]. After some time, he got more and more busy, and I did more and more of the administration of the clan. I think it was around 2006/2007 that I took over as a leader.
I think we reached Division 2 in both WGTCL and BWCL at best, so we weren't ever a top clan. But some of our top players could really hold their own. DuDuK from Macedonia, Soko and Cr1stY from Romania, Carebear (Avi-Love) and SumoZerg from Denmark, XzOz from Norway - many amongst the top players at the time from each their respective nations.
Nevertheless, the very core value of ReV is manners and the bonds we form as teammates. Skill is never the first priority. We do seek to win, but there's no point being good if there's no soul. We want to motivate and inspire, rather than whip. Even though certain boundaries are necessary. I do recall having "Stalin" as nickname. My worst fear for ReV is for the clan to become a collection of top players, rather than a team of friends. I'd much rather lose with friends, than win with strangers.
I left BW in 2008 for personal reasons, so I don't know too much about what happened to the clan afterwards. I think it went on for a couple of years before dying out. Now that Remastered was launched, me and inDepth (aka Yoruichi) started playing again, got reconnected with old friends. That made me want to restart ReV, even though none of us quite have the time we did back then.
As of today, the clan has had to be rebuilt from very little. XzOz and Carebear are the only old ReVs amongst the active players today. However, inDepth, Vertikal (aka Hasunico), SumoZerg and Africa are also old ReVs I shared joyus moments with. There's lots of new faces, but they're good people I'm looking forward to see more of! Extra shoutout to Narsil and GruGloG who're helping out in the management, and SkRiK who's doing a fine job at recruiting!
It's growing steadily and we keep trying to create a home of friends who can cheer for one another and be supportive,
We fight for the power of love! ReV fighting ~
Q. Looking forward to competing? A. Very much! Looks like a fun league with great production and also an extra opportunity to let the clan members play!
Q. Who would you say is your tour de force? A. Carebear.ReV (aka Avi-Love). He's simply a beast and our only undefeated player in BWCL (at this moment). I don't think we've ever had a stronger player than him.
Q. Any one team that worries you? A. None. There is winning or there is confirmation that we need to improve. It's all just a happy journey towards a goal we may never reach, but will have fun traveling nonetheless.
Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain DragOn!
DragOn: Fuck yeah!
Q. Let us know a little bit about NaS A. Hi Im DragOn[NaS] aka DragOn[PaiN] and some other names with DragOn in them. My team NaS is fairly new, I and a few friends formed it after SCR to play in team leagues since PaiN died. NaS stands for either No Autism Squad or North American Squad depending on which you prefer. The no autism thing is an in joke because SuGo[NaS] would always call ppl autistic if they played badly, or for any reason really.
Q. Looking forward to the competition? A. Fuck yeah!
Q. Who would you say is your star player? A. Me, and Beast[NaS] is 2nd best. Hes my student but nowadays more of a rival/practice partner than pupil, hes improved enormously and one of the top up and coming NA players imo.
Q. Toughest opponent? A. SouL and WHITE are the strongest, because of koreans. Soul has Scan and Miso, WHITE has BoA and whoever else that decides to show up, im sure even the B-team members are gosu but I dont know any of them specifically.
Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain GyRo!
GyRo: We put friendship and manner between players above anything else.
Q. Why don't you introduce yourselves to the foreign community. A. Hi, I am GyRo[WHITE], the master of WHITECLAN. We finally came to Korea Server with Remastered. We have been through free battle net MiN (starting from 1998), Asia, West, and Fish server.
WHITECLAN stands for " The Pure White of our many clan members", and has a long tradition. We put friendship and manner between players above anything else. Also we have many of pre-progamers and gosu players.
Q. Are you looking forwards to the tournament? A. Yes, of course. We already won the champion title of two clan-leagues(Korea) which had been held after the remasterd version of Starcraft,
It is the first time that we are participating in foreign league, so we are excited about this. However, it is late night when the matches are held, so the constraint of players are inevitable to us. It is our first challange to the foreign league, and we want to enjoy it.
Q. White has some formidable players, who's the best? A. We have EyeWater[WHITE] (Shuttle) , Dojae[WHITE] (Best) , Mindd[WHITE] (Mind) who had advanced to ASL season 5 tournament. These three players contribute so much whenever the clan-matches are held. However, because of the time, we excluded these players from out roaster. In our roaster, BoA1[WHITE] and Famas2[WHITE] are gosu-players.
Q. Who do you think will be your rivals this season? A. It is SouL. Scan and Miso are also well-know players in Korea, so I think it would be a hard game with SouL.
Q. Any feedback on a personal level? A. I really thank you guys for our participation to the league. We are going to play out best! However, I wonder if there is any solution if the lagging occurs in the game.
Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain AgGe!
AgGe: We don't stand and fall with one or two players, we stand as a family and fall as a team.
Q: Tell me a bit about yourself and your clan iRk A: Well my name is Jon aka iRk-AgGe, I'll be 34 this year and I started playing starcraft late 97 when we came over the sc vanilla beta. iRk was founded in early '99 if I can remember correctly. We were a bunch of swedish dudes playing for a vanilla clan called [NOD] but we got tired of the leader so we started our own clan under the tag {iRk} inte riktigt kloka. Back then we were only swedes in iRk with the exception for one mexican who we played with on west from now and then. iRk has always been more of a family then a clan, and us old timers had a great relationship over battle.net (We can call this First generation iRks). I've been in many clans since we started iRk, mostly cause iRk never played competetive. But I've always gone back to my iRk family whenever I felt like playing for fun and quit the competetive stuff. Around 2004 BW-Tuffer moved in with me in my one room apartment and that's when i started playing some BW. I teamed up with him in a bunch of clans like nS-g, OutOf, CFD and for a while I was captain for SWe-B team and later on a stand in for the Swe-A. My heart though has always been with the sc vanilla scene, and I went back to playing vanilla all the time, and after all the old timers of iRk quit playing, I asked iRk-ApPe and -affe if I could bring iRk over to the competetive scene, and the answer was "yes". So i started with recruiting some swedish vanilla players that would fit the iRk profile, then some player from denmark, norway, netherlands, england and also some koreans that I played with on west (We call this setup Second generation iRks). We were pretty much unbeatable on sc vanilla, and went on to play in the WGTCL for two seasons and did pretty good there as well eventho we played our sc vanilla strats, most of our opponents got pretty confused and we beat some good teams.
When 1.14 was released and the latency got f'ed up on battle.net, everyone quit playing sc vanilla and so did I. Some iRks went over to bw and started playing iCCup, but that was never my thing.
The best part with the G2iRks was that me, and of course the members managed to get the same family feeling as the G1 family. And we're still friends on facebook and talk to each other from now and then. Many of them started playing for a while during the launch of sc:rem, but now It's only me, Reggae and Johan who are from the G2 squad.
I've never been much of a player myself actually, I had a short glory time when I really could focus on getting good at BW, but since I liked SC vanilla more, I never had the motivation of staying long in the bw scene. I've always been a leader of the clans I've been in since we started iRk.
And now with the third generation iRks I'm trying to bring in the same family feeling as with the former versions of iRk. The biggest differense being I now have some top players from around europe playing with the iRk-tag, mostly scandinavians but also from other parts. We're doing great in leagues, ending on split third place in the BWCL beta season, coming second place in RTL season 1, and now sitting on top of BWCL season 1 division B, and also through to the next round in LL-playoffs.
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A: Yeah, it's gonna be great! I really like the CW-setup with a bo4(bo5) system, like the korean system. And I think we'll see some interesting games between us lower ranked team and the favoured pro teams like SouL and WHITE.
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is? A: I don't like the idea of someone being "best" in the team. I dunno how to compare them really, for that to be solved they all had to play a bo5 vs each and everyone in an own iRk league, and I don't think anyone have that kind of time nowdays. Everyone plays their part in iRk-, I do the lineups for every CW, the ones not picked cheers for the ones playing and that's how you build a team. We don't stand and fall with one or two players, we stand as a family and fall as a team.
Q. Are you worried about anyone? A: I'm not worried at all, I've seen some comments about the koreans playing in this league and I don't know why some people are upset.
It's fun, it's not often you get the chance to play these kind of players, so everyone should be excited by the prospect of comparing muscles with these guys.
And it's bo1 vs each player, so anything can happen!
Q. Any feedback? A: Just keep doing what you're doing, cause you're doing grrrrrrrrreat!
This ones formatting will be a little different, just waiting for a few logos and hopefully a shirt (maybe 2 would be good) from Navane and we're good to go <3

Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain Daniel "619" Duryea!
619: I have complete faith in all of our members to perform
Q. Tell me a bit about yourself and your team. A.My name is Daniel "619" Duryea, and I am the leader of Strength in Knowledge. I started the team with no real intentions of being competitive and that quickly shifted paths. We currently have many of the top foreigner talents and are always looking to improve the team.
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A. To be completely honest this looks like the best event I have seen for amateur teams to compete in. I speak on behalf of the entire team when we say that we are super happy to be a part of what you have going on.
Q. So, your top players A. It really depends on the day. I have complete faith in all of our members to perform but a few to mention would be Bonyth, Dewalt, TerrOr and Sziky.
Q. Anyone that worries you? A. SouL will most likely be the biggest competition. I know WHITE is very strong but will they have their pro koreans playing every week is the real question. Obviously if players like Best are playing they will be smacking everyone around. Any team could win on any given day, but I would be very disappointed in our performance if we did not at-least make the playoffs.
Q. Any feedback? A. Do your thing, make sure you are having fun as well. Thanks so much for your time and dedication to put something together for a small community of diehard SC gamers!
You thought the post was over, but it's not! I have an exciting thing to announce!
Hope to see you there. I'm incredibly excited to get this all underway!

Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain FlaShFTW!
FlaShFTW: What we might lack in skill we will make up for in PASHUN and fun games
Q: Tell me a bit about yourself and your team A: We are the Teamliquid Brood War staff, helping with coverage of all things Starcraft Brood War! My name is Gregory "FlaShFTW" Lu, I'm the captain for our TL staff team. I used to commentate for the Afreeca Starleague part-time from seasons 2-4, and occasionally stream on twitch.
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A: Well of course, that's why we signed up!
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is? A: I haven't played with -2pac yet, but everyone else on this team I've seen play or have played against. I would say v1 is our strongest player, but he plays scummy Protoss so who cares.
Q. Are you worried about anyone? A: Pretty much everyone haha. Ironically our staffers for the game are not the greatest in terms of MMR. But what we might lack in skill we will make up for in PASHUN and fun games. Of course, Soul Gaming with 1 pro and 1 semi-pro in Miso and Scan are going to be extremely scary.

W4rr10r Eriador KuH fischei derkavich ProM DarkStorm Herb Cryoc
Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain W4rr10r!
W4rr10r: I look forward to the most, meeting other clans and maybe to end up having a good and friendly relationship to them
Q. Tell me a bit about yourself and your team Hey guys, I’m RedW4rr10r, the leader of Clan Red. I’ve been around on battle.net since around 2004 but am truly committed to this awesome game since 2009 and have started playing 1v1 since then. I’ve got to know a lot of cool and nice people which made it even more fun to me to play this game. My home channel has always been op red on any server I was online which was mainly iCCup in the later stages and at some point op red’s community was big enough that always someone was online and hanging around in that channel (even till this day!).
Someone came up with the idea why not founding a Red clan (this was referring to my name and to the channel we were in) and when things got a bit more serious at the time when the beta season for BWCL was announced, we in fact ended up founding a clan – and here we are, being active and present as much as possible in different leagues that are being hosted.
Originally, we started as a pure german clan but shortly after a lot of non-germans joined us so we’re up to around 30 members in total today. We were even able to split our clan into three squads to let as many people play as possible in BWCL. That is super awesome to see, everything is running so smoothly despite having so much organization stuff to do. I mean, that wouldn’t be possible, if I had to do everything myself, so I’m glad a few members are willing to support me. In this regard shoutouts to KuH, cReAtiVee, fischei and derkavich.
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A.Of course we are! It’s great being able to compete in different leagues that all have a different format and (mostly) different teams. Also, it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and maybe make some new cool friends such as Clan iRk. We had a lot of clan wars with iRk within a relative short time and it was always a pleasure to play against them, they’re super nice! And this is something I look forward to the most, meeting other clans and maybe to end up having a good and friendly relationship to them as well. Well, and of course we’re looking forward the clan wars themselves. It’s such a cool feeling hanging around in the respective clan war channel and wait for the players to finish their matches. Although I mostly do nothing else but sitting there and being nervous, it’s so much fun to me.
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is and why? A.I’m sure that eriador and Cryoc are our top players playing for our team in STPL. Both of them are very experienced players and have been around for a very long time, knowing this game so well. Also, Herb is not to be underestimated, either, as well as our founder member fischei. And then we have KuH in our roster who has more of an oldschool playstyle which won us a few games in the past. So all in all I’m confident with our roster.
Q.. Out of all the other teams, who are you most worried about facing?
A. I think I’d say Soul Gaming. They have the real progamer Miso in their roster. But either way, it’s a good opportunity to play vs. strong players you wouldn’t normally meet, so I’m looking forward to seeing them “on stage” during STPL after all. But then again, one shouldn’t be worried about meeting certain clans but, instead it’s more important to have fun.
Q. Any feedback? A. No, it’s just awesome the way it is. Also, Qikz is a great caster, I’m definitely looking forward to his casts!
One other bit of news, I made the Matcherino page for the STPL today and thanks to an extremely generous donation by Gabrielverlaine the prize pool for the league sits at $500!
Wow, this is amazing. Cant wait for this to start, are the play dates coming soon? So many foreign players to root for! How come eon isnt playing it tho

My apologies, I got a lot of races wrong it seems haha. I could've sworn I used to play TvP vs you, but maybe I'm mixing that up with Falling. Also 2pac's wraith icon is a lie!

So, I messaged Bonyth earlier today and 619 tried yesterday, nothing so far. I'd hate to take a walkover considering it's almost a guaranteed win for him lol.
Now for a pre-tournament interview with their captain White!
White: Its funny cuz 4-5 players that we have now they played in the olds days with the team =), so its good cuz we're like a family
Q. Tell me a bit about yourself and your team A. Hi Qikz, Well, my name is Nicolás Moreno, im 26' and im finishing Law at university, and in about 2008 I created my team "Disturbed Mind" with other 2 ppl AreS & Lastday, after like 10 tries with other tags in a chilean server called "Rox", my team was always with a Chilean players base, but we manage to get some players from the US, and Europeans too. Back in iCCup, we managed to play in BWCL (old one) iCCupCL, Gambit Cup, and all the clan leagues with good positions, after the Remastered launch ann i started to play some games at iCCup, then others friends went back too, so we made the team again with the help of Tech, Rusty and XenOsky. Its funny cuz 4-5 players that we have now they played in the olds days with the team =), so its good cuz we're like a family. We had so great times in last year these 3 members of my team did a "Starcraft News Report" in spanish called "Area deportiva" (You can see here http://disturbedmind.net/index.php/area-deporitva ) and it was really fun i think that our pick of activity was in oct-nov on last year, but after sooo many months with only 1 league, and a laggy ranked ppl started to become inactive, but anyways we have an good group to fight in this league =)
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A. Yea!!
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is and why? A. Well Strongest player in my team, we are all like in the same lvl but i think that Tech has improved a lot since the SC:R launch, he can be rlly good and lately cRuZa is playing in a amazing performance, so these two are the strongest players in my team for sure.
Q. Out of all the other teams, who are you most worried about facing? A. No one, but we're exciting to play against [WHITE] cuz you know, they're koreans
Q. Any feedback? A. Yea im so happy that you hosted this league you know, with clan leagues and tournaments ppl come back to play =).
I'll be back later with another interview, fell behind for a few days!
Reminder, you can play the games later but need to arrange it with your opponents so if you're clashing due to BWCL don't worry. I just need ALL the replays by the end of Sunday night for West Coast America (or Monday if I've arranged this with you)
The most urgent ones are WHITE vs iRk and Red vs dM. The others I would still like on time, but I 100% need those by tomorrow night.
So, what do you do in cases where you've tried for days to get in touch with your opponent and you hear nothing? You get in touch with who I presume is his manager who'll also try to find a sub if he can't play on time, then nothing happens there either. This is beyond frustrating at this point tbh.
At this point, I want a W/O if I don't get some response before the end of day (to account for time zones and such). I've posted in this thread, posted several times on discord over several days so that we can work out some time since we live in completely different time zones and even messaged my opponent on TL as a last resort and still nothing. You can see my post below from this thread as well:
On March 23 2018 10:28 BigFan wrote: So, I messaged Bonyth earlier today and 619 tried yesterday, nothing so far. I'd hate to take a walkover considering it's almost a guaranteed win for him lol.
I shouldn't have to jump through so many hoops just to play a single game of BW...
Q: Your team went into this match as the underdogs, how did it make you feel? A: Going in to the match as the underdogs actually felt pretty good. I am certain of how strong our team is and therefore I think I speak on behalf of whole iRk family when I say we did not doubt our chances of winning even though we were the underdogs, we have complete confidence that we can beat any team.
Q: Were you nervous when you saw who your opponent was? A: Not really. I was more excited than nervous. Although I have tons of respect for WHITE and their players I still know what I am capable of. More often than not when I am up against a good player it brings the best out of me and going in to the match as the underdog only added more fuel to the fire and made me keep focus on my gameplan.
Q: You played on Neon Moon Glaive, have you got much experience with it? A: The only experience I have had with Neo Moon Glaive was during this week when I practised it. Not having played it before I felt quite uncomfortable when I began to practise it. Also, I looked at the race statistics on it which showed 86.7% winrate in favour for Zerg versus Protoss so that made me a bit worried at first. But after many games I gradually became familiar with it and felt more confident after each game.
Q: Moving forward, what matchup would you like to get; what's your strongest matchup? A: Although I have been tilting a bit in my PvP lately I still consider it to be my strongest matchup. However, my PvZ is a matchup I have become very confident in due to practising a lot with monstrous and experienced zerg players like Naugrim, WhistleR, Kamezerg and JerryK97, which I would like to thank for not only beating me up this entire week, but also for their time and great knowledge. Furthermore, my man Favorit deserves a mention too since he showed me how to play gosu PvZ. Because of all this I can safely say that my PvZ is not far away from being my best match up.
Q: You've been selected as man of the match, any words for your fans? A: I would like to give a special shoutout to my beloved brother Elyk. And thank you to everyone that supports. Last but not least, Agge, sixty G's baby! iRk fighting ~~ BW4LIFE
This is an interview with the one, the only, Dandy!
Q. How does it feel to be selected to be man of the match? A. I'm happy and very grateful for the confidence and support shown to me by the leader(Fujikura) of my clan and team SouL Gaming.
Q. You followed up Miso and Scan to secure the win for SouL, how does that feel? A. I did feel a little nervous because I had to win in order to secure the win, without a need for ace.
Q. Your game was vs DragOn, a Protoss. How do you feel about your TvP? A. To be honest my TvP is not my best match up, but it's also not my worst one, either.
Q. DragOn is one of NA's strongest players, did you feel worried going into the match at all? A. To be honest I wasn't really that worried, I have matched up against Dragon several times and the majority of the time I manage to win. This fact gave me a lot of confidence knowing the odds in winning were on my side.
Q. You played not only the opponent, but also the map very well. Did you practice specifically for this matchup on this map? A. No, I didn't really practice this map. In ICCUP I played a lot of 2v2, so I already knew this map quite well.
Q. Do you feel any pressure being known in the foreign scene as one of the strongest players? A. I do feel some pressure knowing I'm considered one of the best players in the foreign scene. I feel that I have to give it my all to maintain my level and produce constant positive results as to not lose the confidence that people see in me.
Q. Finally, any words for your fans? A. I just want to say to my fans to keep supporting me in Starcraft Remastered, it's the best strategy game ever made. I hope the scene will keep to grow and improve. Please continue supporting me and support my twitch channel as well (DandyTerran)
Grast: I love the opportunity to get back in the SCBW scene and see so many familiar names around
Q. Tell me a bit about yourself and your team A. Hi Qikz, thanks for asking. I'm Borislav aka Grast and I'm the manager of Team pSi and the Bulgarian National (SC2 & SCBW) team for quite some time now. Our clan was originally founded in 2004 by me and few other ex-teammates. Since then we've been competing in almost every possible tournament or league in the foreigner scene under the organizations of iMpulsive Gaming and iNNERFiRE until we switched to SC2 in late 2010.
Nowadays our passion for SCBW got revived with SC:Remastered and since Sep 2017 we are back to SCBW after 7+ years of absence while being in the SC2 realm.
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A. We are looking forward to SPTL, yes! ^_^
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is and why? A. Team Psi consists mostly of experienced but obsolete players...
Look it this way - most of my teammates were B/A rank and have been competing in WCG and occasional Nation & Clan Wars - today we barely remember what is the hotkey to research given ability for example. So, whoever has practiced enough games in the past few days can be my best player today, unfortunately each of us have many more responsibilities compared to ten years ago and most of us aren't really active anymore. Q. Out of all the other teams, who are you most worried about facing? A. I don't think we are worried about facing any team. I love the opportunity to get back in the SCBW scene and see so many familiar names around  We can only be excited when facing new 'enemies'. I'm mostly worried if there are bad manners occurring - but I believe such issues will be less than minimal. Q. Any feedback you have for me or suggestions put here: A. Keep up the great work and focus more on the planning stage now so you won't have issues later. The feedback I can give from our side is to work on the PR of the league. I noticed the TLnet thread in the very last moment and had a small window to react and contact my players. The fault most probably is mine but nothing can harm if there is even more exposure
Also, transparency is crucial. Great work with the discord server, it can make things easier for you to manage and more transparent for us to access/debate. Just make sure to provide guidelines of what is going on, people in the community can be overwhelming with endless suggestions and ideas. Thank you for your efforts!
I'll be back tomorrow with the aSh interview and I'll be posting up the cast details for tomorrow (technically tonight now's) cast! I might start a bit earlier to not clash with the 20th anniversary event
Just an FYI (only posted this on discord by accident) Week 2 games will be played TOMORROW.
Default time to play these games is at 14:00 GMT (+00:00) Sunday 1st April. Deadline for submission of replays is Monday 2nd April at 18:00 GMT (+00:00)
A huge thanks to the following (I didn't see this when casting) Hirmu for his $21 donation. GreyShades_ for his $31 donation m4rkym4rk for his $51 donation and finally of course caspas with his $501 donation from before!
That brings the current prizepool (with used codes) to $623.50!

Are you sure about the cabas-thing?
Also THX to everyone who donated yesterday.
Edit: Would be much better to have a thread per Werk, IMO.

From next week I'll do a new thread each week for the casts and just keep this for results and things, might make it easier to find things.
There was an important question brought up during STPL-Stream. To unfold the truth right before the eyes of the world, I worked out the following scientific acknowledged questionaire:
Poll: Which of the participating teams has the best logo?
Red (wrong answer) (11)
52%
ReV (correct answer) (10)
48%
21 total votes
Your vote: Which of the participating teams has the best logo?
(Vote): Red (wrong answer) (Vote): ReV (correct answer)

Oy! I put my heart, soul and every ounce of skill into that logo!
So what about Red.Fry? He commited his entire life into our logo. It's like he was merely born to create this little dude for everyone's salvation. Like, ever since he made that logo, he has become inactive. Seems like the power and will to exist that kept him alive expired after that very moment he finished his work.

Or maybe he's gone a 1000 years into the future to check up some cyclops? Don't you go all Jesus on me without proof!

PM me if you get a chance, I'd like to talk about a player transfer transaction. We will pay the team transfer fee and pay out the rest of her contract with Red as well as a generous offer for the transaction itself.

By the way, in Nas vs White from the previous week. There's an error. I (SuGo) beat First. Not the other way around. If it doesn't matter or impact anything, then who cares. But if there's some point impact, should change that.
Time for an interview with the vice captain of the FBW team, roegi. Disclaimer: this is somewhat of a comedic interview so please don't take everything with complete seriousness.
Roegi: I'm hoping if we show some good games Shinhan Tank will sponsor us and I can finally pay my rent
Q. Tell me a bit about yourself and your team A. My name is Oliver "roegi" Chen and I am an alcoholic. Something about saying that statement gives me a better high than any sort of substance ever has. There's something incredibly freeing in finally admitting the truth.
Because of the things I did to avoid living, I hurt a lot of people close to me. I abused the love of friends and family, and when they tried to pull me from the darkness, I would do my best to escape their embrace. I made up stories and flat-out lied to hide the truth. I even managed to convince myself that I didn't have a problem.
And the biggest liar is the alcohol itself. It promises a respite from the pain, but somehow only manages to make things worse. Drinking, for me, always began with a manageable intoxication, a comforting warmth, but the pleasant buzz would rise seemingly uncontrollably into an overwhelming cacophony of chaos.
My descent into alcoholism was almost imperceptible. It started as a couple nights out with my buddies. I was just blowing off steam, having a night out with the pals. And for a time, that was all that it was. But the warm embrace of intoxication was too tempting for me to resist. Alcohol whispered sweet promises of blissful freedom; it made me feel invincible, and soon I was drinking every day just to take off the edge.
Looking back I can see that my life was being ripped apart, piece by broken piece. But that's the funny thing about addiction - it gives you a myopic view of the world. I could only see a few days in the past. And I couldn't see anything in the future. My world slowly shrank, and soon the only thing on my mind was where I could find my next drink.
I used to have dreams and aspirations. I had money saved so I could go to Korea some day. I was going to push BoxeR back into the glamorous world of competitive Brood War, and after some training he was going to win another title. He'd consider retirement at that point, riding out on a wave of glory. But instead, with a fresh trophy in hand, Lim Yo Hwan would try to broker a peace agreement between North and South Korea. Things would go well at first, but Kim Jong Un would invite BoxeR to North Korea and kidnap him to keep as his personal Brood War slave. North and South Korea would begin a series of "friendly" Brood War competitions, with BoxeR at the helm of the North Korean team. It'd make international news, and Brood War would be propelled back into the limelight.
But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. BoxeR's future as Brood War's savior is a tale for another time.
My name is Oliver "roegi" Chen and I am an alcoholic. Thank you for listening to my story.
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A. Yeah, we're really looking forward to playing in STPL. I can't speak for the rest of the players, but I know I could really use the cash. I'm a couple hundred in the hole right now, and a bit of a pick-me-up could go a long way. I'm hoping if we show some good games Shinhan Tank will sponsor us and I can finally pay my rent. My roommates have been getting kind of annoyed, but so far I've been able to keep them off my back by pretending to be asleep.
FBW has got a lot of sleeper players on our team. We've been working on taking our skills to the next level, so we've been putting in quite a bit of practice. It's a bit non-traditional, but it's been working wonders in our games so far.
Faust has been captaining the team like no other. I think he's trying to build up his resume to find an e-girlfriend. Sometimes his mom comes on voice chat and asks about grandchildren. A bit of exposure always helps, and what could be more impressive than running an amateur Brood War team? The pressure is mounting on him, but I've never seen him so dedicated in my life.
Debaser and SerO have been upping their mental games. SerO's a real tricky player, and he's been playing a lot of poker to get ready for STPL. Last night he bluffed a 2 gate with a 14cc, that's how wild his play has been lately. Debaser's been reflecting on the wise words of Jared Tendies, and he's reached a FlaSh-like level of zen. You ever hear about the concept of inchworm learning? That's where Debaser slaps his opponents with his inchworm and they learn a little something about what it means to be good at Brood War.
Ty2's been working out. His rock-hard pecs are the size of small melons, and he wears a bra so he can reach the keyboard without his chest flopping out. Tempest was the first to point out his voluptuous chest. He's been all over Ty2's stream lately. Ty2 hasn't noticed yet, but Tempest has been training extra hard to try and get his attention. He's morphing into his final form; let's just say you need Hive tech to enter into a Zerg Nydus Canal.
Hirmu and littlechava have been taking their drunk zerg play to the next level. Watching them play is like watching Wong Fei-Hung face off against Thunderleg. Solid all-around players, but after a few drinks we've been seeing some real creative play out of those two, real fast and loose.
Some of our Zergs have been working pretty closely with Avi Love in preparation for the league. AllAndArlTY and Just have been upping their APMs by warming up to some of Avi Love's videos. They don't stop practicing until they're drained dry. They're going for the endurance game, and they can go for hours before crashing.
That's just the kind of dedication we have. We're all excited to be participating in STPL, and nothing is going to stand in our way other than the occasional loss.
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is and why? A. Our strongest player is easily Ty "Ty2" 2. It's immediately obvious when he sits at a computer that there's no way the average Brood War player can take him. He has a regimented Brood War practice schedule, but somehow still finds time to hit the gym every day. He's part of the 1000 club, and his max bench is at a ludicrous 285 lbs.
Ty2 is known for his creative Zerg play. He is a strong macro player, but he's not afraid to get down and dirty with the cheese. And I'll tell ya what, his cheese is as dirty as dirty gets. It's so dirty he has to take a shower before and after going to the gym. And he doesn't mess around in the gym either. None of that pussy-ass upper/lower split, every day is a full body workout for Ty2.
Ty2's faced off against Geoffrey "iNcontroL" Robinson, one of the strongest BW players of all time. He barely got a chance to raise a finger before Ty2 finished him. Tasteless called it a technical takedown.
Ty2 has been going through some high intensity training, and he's been bulking up so fast we thought he was juicing. But he's got his diet calibrated down to the calorie to complement his training, and it really shows in his results.
After STPL we're thinking about entering the team in the Arnold Classic. Most of us have got no chance, but I figure if we have Ty2 we've got a shot at the gold. If you could see his discipline, patience, and persistence you'd be surprised he wasn't already a pro. He's a bit too modest to step out into the limelight by himself, but with the team supporting him I'm sure he won't hold back. A few weeks of cutting and he'll be competition ready.
Q. Out of all the other teams, who are you most worried about facing? A. We're the most worried about facing team SouL. They've got an ASL contestant, and one of their players was banned from non-korean matches for being too good. On top of that, they've got some top South American talent. But the biggest hurdle for us is going to be overcoming the language barrier.
We rely heavily on player psychology, and it's going to be hard to talk trash when our opponents are from all over the world. Breaking down the emotional barrier is one of our team's specialities. We've got that "씨발놈아" on lockdown thanks to being flamed on the Fish server, but we don't have much practice with Spanish. Those "새끼들" can "좆이나 빨아"
Littlechava and I have lived in California, so we've got the basics down. We can tell them to "vete a la mierda", maybe throw in a few "maricón"s. But that's a little too basic. We aren't going to be able to get into their heads with that kind of standard-fare trash talk. It's going to be hard to suggest bestiality or hint towards incestuous mothers without a stronger grasp of the Spanish language.
But don't worry, we've been brainstorming in Spanish between matches, so we're definitely going to have a good showing when we play each other. SouL can say "dulces sueños" to their championship dreams.
Q. Any feedback you have for me or suggestions put here: A. I don't really have any feedback or suggestions, but I do have a couple of questions for you.
1. Why is FanTaSy's bio play is so bad? When I play Terran I try to keep all my Marines alive, but he just throws them to their death. Doesn't he feel bad for the little guys? I mean, it's not like they chose to fight the Zerg army, he's the one that conscripted them and sent them out to their deaths. I hope he feels a little more empathy after coming out of the army.
2. How come you aren't on team FBW? It'd be a real help to the team. We've discussed it amongst ourselves and we're still open to having you join us. We could really use an admin on our side, in case any "disagreements" come up.

Apologies to my fans! My games have been lackluster in STPL so far but credit to my opponents: + Show Spoiler +
They all played extremely well, especially that slow lurker drop into my main. Had that not happened, I feel like I could've recovered since I had most of my SCVs left and the cc too. It's been an interesting experience!
I will practice hard to make sure I can at least deliver one nice game (if possible, highly depends why I get XD).
Hey Qikz, just came back Form a trip and wanted to thank you again, since thx to you and afreeca I have BW-VODs to watch all day. However a lowres option would be highly appreciated. This Weeks tuesday-VOD is available in lowres, wednesdays is not. Sadly I cannot point out how to activate this.
Okay this looks amazing; the former professional players are actually playing in this tournament? I'll have to see if I can afford to donate towards this.

I finally finished my sorting code and it works how I want it for the table. Here's the current standings! (middle of week 5, games uncasted not shown!)
Q. What's your history with the game, why did you start playing? I started playing vanilla in 97 after it came out, my friend introduced me to the game and got hooked right away! Before I played games like Red Alert, Dune2, Master of Orion, Master of Magic etc, after SC I basicly only played this :D
Q. What keeps bringing you back to Broodwar? I know from experience you have a lot of breaks! I just love the game and community/playing/competing - unfortunately I don't always have time to play, but very often when I get some free time then I come back again and again
Q. Your first opponent in the STPL was Roegi, how did you feel during the game? Had a little hungover so wasn't super happy to play  But it turned out alright in the end.
Q. He went for a very early drop against you, did that affect how you were going to play out the set? His build felt really strange to me, I think I got a huge lead because of it and was able to control the game from there. Wraith was a surprise to me though and lost shuttle for it :D
Q. What made you go to expand on the island quickly? Felt like its the easiest/safest 4th to take in this situation, it's really hard for terran to do anything about it for all game. I had made speed for shuttle already so it's easy to transfer quick there too  Q. You chose to go carriers, was that always your plan for this map? No it wasn't my plan, just decided from the game flow that its time to go bonyth right meow. Seemed like a logical option vs slow 3rd terran and easy to take out island/pressure natural from there on out. I didn't really have any plan, just see what terran does and counter it, it's hard to cheese across map terran if you don't get a gas steal or something. Q. Any message for your fans and where can people find you to watch your content? I Love you all! You can see me streaming sometimes on twitch arcneon2016, sometimes very active and sometimes not at all :stuck_out_tongue: Probably will be more active if the ladder system is fixed ever so it wont take 1000+ seconds to find a game every time
Q. What's your history with Broodwar? A. StarCraft is a part of my life that I cannot forget to mention. I pretty much grew up with this game.
Q. What are your current goals for your Broodwar career? A. At least get into semi-final for Hangzhou StarCraft Tournament.
Q. In your play, what would you say your weakest matchup is and why? A. I don't think I have a weakest matchup, but I can mention that my mech army's position wise isn't as good as my bio army.
Q. What's your strongest? A. Bio. TvZ
Q. How did scouting the lurker allin change your gameplan for the set? A.The map is not good to go for fast upgrade opening, so I chose to open up with 2 Barracks bio opening after the Barracks expansion. Nothing really changed my gameplan since I didn't go for fast upgrade opening.
Q. You're a strong member of SouL, what made you join them to begin with? A. First, I had no interest joining any teams for anything. SK Clan reached me first and offered stuff that they will continue hosting a lot of events when the remastered just came out. And I started to figure out there were internal troubles going and decided to leave soon. At that period of time, SouL Clan Leader, Fujikura reached me and talked through about how he deals and manages players, I liked it.
Q. Any words for your fans and where can people find you if they want to watch your content? A. Thanks for coming and chatting on stream every time when I broadcast! Hope you guys enjoy more of future stream games and learn something to get better. I'll be streaming on Twitch and Afreeca. Switching back and forth.
Unfortunately due to the SKTL controversy and a stint of lots of users (most if not all) leaving the SK teams we're going to have to for the purpose of the STPL disband those teams and move on without them.
Moving into round 2, unless we can get 2 teams to replace them (which I'm happy to accommodate, so post in here if you want to join!) then we'll move forward with just 12 teams.
I'm going to cancel the cast for tonight and since the game for this week would've been SK-A vs SK-B we'll just do 3 Bo5s on Friday and 2 Wednesday 21:00CEST.
The only reason BeSt and Mind are playing is because the leader of WHITE doesn't want to lose so he found the best possible players he could find, and he knew Scan and Miso are actually both very good amateurs that both participate in ASL, in his own words.
Wow that's insane. This league damn, just the fact that these clans know about and are caring about this league/match to that extent is cool. Props to Qikz and anyone else helping to organize these. Even the OP is next level stuff.

Yes, Qikz is doing an amazing job! Can't stress that often enough Despite NW's roster is still missing in the OP Dunno if any other Teams are missing there, NW is the first I had to deal with without any easy-to-find STPL rosters :D
Thanks for all the kind words all. It means a hell of a lot!
In an announcement of an announcement I'm going to say this now. My life will be much easier today as Cadenzie will be co-casting with me! I'm hoping we can make this a regular thing, so if you're interested in hearing her casting again then please do tune in and let us know what you think!
Bit late for this, but better late than never! Here's the interview with koget clan leader of the clan NetWars!
Q. Tell me a bit about yourself and your team A. Hi, I'm koget and I'm mobilizing team Netwars to compete in STPL. We're the biggest Polish starcraft community gathered around netwars.pl, and we've been around for nearly two decades now. Players come and go, but I hope we'll be able to play some fun games and prove the strength of Polish scene. In last few years we were able to win all major foreign leagues (including nation wars), but as we're lacking our key players and competition is as strong as never, we'll have to fight hard to even get to top3. Personally I'm running the team and also playing the game, hence I'll try to secure we capitalize on every opponents mistake!
Q. Are your team looking forward to competing in the STPL? A. Of course, Polish scene has always been extreamly motivated when it came to competiting in leagues. We haven't seen such a big and high level league in years, and I think it's going to be a blast for both players and viewers.
Q. Who would you say your strongest player is and why? A. We have a wide squad and hopefully will be able to utilize it to it's full. We have many notable players like Draco or Trutacz, but also a lot of very strong ones like SouthPark, Cheetech, ZZZero or Mazur. On top of that many gamers that I believe can deliver versus any opponent, and of course myself ready to play too. Probably Draco and Trutacz are our best players but we'll see how often we'll be able to see them.
Q. Out of all the other teams, who are you most worried about facing? A. I don't really care who shows up on the other side, as each week will probably be different depending on players availibility and willingness to play. I think in those leagues it's more important to have a strong team spirit and a consistet roaster rather than some stars payed to do their jobs.
Q. Any feedback you have for me or suggestions put here: A. I would really like to see some more standard maps with 1-2 off the list maps everyweek. I believe foreigners will not deliver as interesting games on unorthodox maps as koreans as we don't play so many games. Good luck to everyone and let's have a lot of fun!
That's insane that best and mind are playing. That's awesome for foreigners to get a chance to go up against those guys. Can't wait to see white vs soul
On May 07 2018 16:15 kogeT wrote: I'm uncertain. What is the plan for games for upcoming weeks? Is there a break or..?
Explained this in the captains chat and the announcement on discord but willl post it here also:
Week 7 officially comes to a close I believe. We'll be finding out who makes it to the playoffs for the end of Fridays cast. Stay tuned to learn the Round 2 maps so you can start practicing!
If your team didn't make it to the playoffs, it's not all over yet! There's Round 2 coming up and it'll likely start in about a months time (2 weeks for playoffs) + 1 week break for me. Hopefully you've enjoyed the tournament so far and I hope you continue to do so moving forward!
So to put it simply.
11/05: Playoff Matches announced 15/05: Playoff lineups submitted 20/05: Playoff Semi Finals played 27/05: Playoff Finals played (hopefully live)
27/05: Round 2 first lineups submitted 03/06: Round 2 first week played
There will be a new thread for round 2, but leading into the playoffs I thought I'd announce and post the maps along with a link so you can all start practicing them! Please see the link below:
Qikz, this is a great tournament and initiative you are running.
The maps are complete TRASH.
Can we please stop this "OH FS IS BORING. CB IS OVERPLAYED" and stop trying to be hipsters? Truth is, we're all foreigners, we aren't that great, and we need to work on basics.
The best games with solid play will be played on those "Standard" maps where it gives each player a better forum to practice on proven maps. Anyways, I doubt you're going to change it. It's your tournament, you choose and can mandate whatever you want. I've accepted that.
Queue a bunch of low skilled players who are going to come out of the wood works saying
"WE NEED MORE VARIETY. WE NEED MORE ENTERTAINMENT..." People going to start talking about "new strategy" -- ok? Half these people can't even do basic opening builds and going to talk about "New Strategy" as a basis for using new maps. Lol
But I don't feel like arguing it. Everyone's just trying to be a hipster with these non sense map pools nowadays lol
Step 1 - Compliment to blunt the blow Step 2 - Immediately after compliment, extremely aggressive complaint. Step 3 - Post long argument about disagreement. Step 4 - End with "I don't want to argue".
So tell me, how is Qikz or anyone supposed to respond to this comment? After all, you just posted several lines trashing his choices, and now he's not supposed to explain himself? How can any debate happen after that?
SuGo, it's alright to disagree with the map choices, but if you're going to post an argument, you have to leave the person you're talking to some room to operate here. Honestly a lol here.

The maps are already chosen. He won't change it.
That is why there is nothing to argue. I was just posting a rant on the poor choice of maps.
I for one think it's really sweet that there's no FS or CB. There are maps I'd rather see and some maps I'd rather not see, but not having FS or CB makes it far more interesting. LT got played out, Luna got played out, Python got played out, FS and CB are played out. I can't remember the last time I saw a build on either of those two maps that I hadn't seen at least 50 times before. I'm not really arguing, just posting a counter-opinion-rant.
Why mock lower skilled players? lol I'd rather watch a higher skilled player than myself fail a beautiful attempt to something 'new' than watch him successfully execute a rax/fe, turtle to 180/200 on 3 bases and move out at 2/1 mech vs toss while the 1 vessel EMPs the incoming arbiter on FS.
Compared to pros you're never really gonna look good anyway, so that shouldn't be a concern. And if you don't like the maps, you can choose to not play in the tournament.
The beauty of foreign BW certainly doesn't come from standard play and upsets make things much more interesting imo. With this format and a couple of nonstandard maps a weaker team actually has a chance to win a fight.
Stop complaining if your time is better spent on working on your basics. (And basics aren't just executing a build order btw.)

Hey you know, if you had argued for Gladiator being part of this map pool, I'd be inclined to agree. That plays out fairly standardly, it's fairly balanced, and it's not played out. But FS/CB specifically, I'm really bored with.
I can completely understand where SuGo is coming from, when you look at these maps, it will be extremely difficult to transition from playing from the last map pool, to this map pool, also not even taking into consideration a 'normal' practice regimen which would normally consist of ladder because it is way too difficult to get a player at 2k+ MMR in public games on bnet.
I think these maps are interesting / fun, but when you look at a map like Flight-Dream Liner, Troy and Return of the King especially, it makes you realize that this is a little ridiculous for new comers to effectively learn and improve, which is essentially the point of this league.
it is only a matter of time before two players are in a game and one of them kills the assimilator on Troy and realizes the Meta of the game has now completely changed,
And Flight Dream-Liner looks like a bad rendition of that map similar to paranoid android but with bottom left / bottom right positions, what's it called again? lol
But then again, I guess it makes it kind of stale with FS being played every game, but I think that is the best way for newer players to learn and improve.

What? How will there be "great games" when people don't even know how to play these maps lol. You could've at least used the word "entertaining" or something. But GREAT GAMES? Come on now.
"Great games" are more bound to happen on maps that people are used to and know well.
I feel like people are literally praising the map pool now just because no one wants to voice against the terrible maps and save face. It's ok, Qikz, I'll be here to be the one person who will voice that opinion.

Or maybe some people just want to have fun and learn new maps? Not sure why you're being so adamant with your dislike.

You are incorrect in seemingly both assumptions. Firstly, my post was regarding the stream this evening. Not about the maps for the next round.
Secondly, I have no interest in saving face. I give my 2 cents whenever I feel it's due, even if I know it'll be for deaf ears, as I think it's important to voice one's opinions. And the fact that Qikz is always pointing out that he wants feedback, means there's absolutely no reason to "save face". I'm neither praising nor complaining - it just is what is is.
We have an entire month to practice the maps before they're going to see the light of day in STPL. I know there's going to be less time for practicing the new maps for you guys in the playoffs, as you've got your games to prepare for. But even so, if people don't even have the time to practice the new maps or can't deal with them, then quite frankly I don't know what the hell they're doing in this clan league.
It might turn out to be a crappy round, for all I know. But at the very least I would much rather have a bad round, than there being a culture where we start avoiding too many maps. I don't think you fully appreciate how desolate the mappools will end up being if we keep narrowing it down everytime someone cries wolf.
That's why I don't complain. Feel free to disagree with my opinion, but please don't assume we're all spineless sycophants just because we don't share yours.

THIS so much. I don't understand why you, SuGo, are complaining and crying so hard about this mappool. If you have to work 283989 hours a day, it's not our problem and you simply shouldn't get lined-up for the coming Round and everything is fine. Gosh dangit...

This. He's very openly fond of peculiar maps. I'm still waiting for plasma, to be honest. Not saying that you ranting is inappropriate or anything, it's just that a mappool like this wasn't exactly unexpected. Should be a factor when making decisions about participating. As for the entertainment value, we'll have to wait and see, won't we?
I can't add much as I'm waiting for the bus, but people said people wouldn't have great games on the round 1 pool and STPL Round 1 put that theory to bed. We've had some amazing games.

Unfortunately that was a bit of a flash in the pan cast. Hopefully Cadenzie will choose to continue casting, but Rapid can't cast at 4AM from Korea so them both being at my flat was a pretty once in a lifetime thing. I had a lot of fun though and while it wasn't my usual style of casting I think it was ok :D
I'm going to announce the playoff teams later this evening when I figure it all out and I'll need the lineups sent to me by Wednesday at 20:00CEST. Playoff Semi finals for round 1 will be next Sunday at the normal time.
So it's time, it's been 7 weeks already and the round 1 group stage has come to an end! At the end of Round 1, let's have a look at those results!
What does this mean exactly? Well, now we can finally introduce the 4 top teams, 2 from Group A and 2 from Group B.
Round 1 Group A Final Results
#1. NetWars #2. dM #3. Red #4. TL Staff #5. psistorm.eu #6 (DQ'd) - SK Alpha/SK Bravo
This means moving on to the playoffs is going to be:
A1 - Netwars A2 - dM
Round 1 Group B Final Results
#1. iRk AND WHITECLAN #3. SouL Gaming #4. NaS #5. Clan Revolution #6. FBW All Stars #7. aSh
Now, due to the complete tie between iRk and WHITECLAN we are going to head into a TIEBREAKER situation! One team must advance as B1 and one team must advance as B2 and there is currently no way of telling which one that is, their match wins/losses and game wins/losses are dead even. This means before we can start the play offs we will need one more Bo5!
iRk and WHITE you have to get me lineups ready for your game on Sunday, May 20 2:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) The maps you will be playing are as follows:
I went with the tiebreaker angle because from every round robin style tournament I've ever seen (say OSL for instance) you'd always have tiebreakers to decide the final outcome.
I just want to make sure there is a clear winner results wise at the top of the group as otherwise it lends to a situation where one team wins because of a walkover in say week 1 due to some tragedy befalling a team then I don't think it's fair to say that they automatically should go through in first, I think you should have a tiebreak to decide.
I should've made this clear in the thread from the beginning, but it's one thing I never expected to actually happen. STPL has been so much closer than I could've ever possibly imagined[/center]
Hey all! If you've been following the STPL I need your help! If you can think of any standout games with clippable moments from iRk, NetWars, dM or WHITECLAN then please let me know! For the playoff finals I'm going to make a special intro so I want more clips!
It is with sadness I have to announce that moving in to Round 2 we will be losing not only SK-A and SK-B, but FBW and TL will not have enough players to continue. They will be merging however to create Team 9!
We also have 2 new teams joining us. Media and Bull!
Good luck to all our teams in the next round and congratulations to our winners of Round 1! See you all soon for the new [R&S] thread and the Round 2 thread (want to keep them seperate this time!)
