I think progamers played better when they lived in team houses, had coaches, sponsors (as opposed to Afreeca balloons), and had a workout regimin. That's not to say games today cannot be exciting, and I don't know the source for claims of Last having wrist issues (he certainly played like he has some), but a coach simply wouldn't allow that to happen.
Atleast one off my LB went the right way... SK>Last
Games: Looked like Last had serious problems handling SoulKey early game in this series. And his 1-1-1 seemed off... looked like his head was not in the match really and it quicky gets out off hand. Like JDvsRain and last seasons finals. Once Mutas were out he was in big trouble every time & the double port shenaningans did not pay off.. I think he would be better off playing more standard, avoiding risks and aiming for late game with heavy upgraded bio/vessel/tank/drop-play. Anyhow GJ by SoulKey!
This was a bizzare semifinals to watch. Last went for the same build 2 games in a row, then went proxy rax in game 3 followed by a proxy rax into 2 rax in game 4 then lost. Soulkey played really well to counter what was thrown, and unlike their previous KSL series, he got the right amount of stuff to attack and do damage/kill Last, so he gets credit where its due. The result is a bit disappointing to see, and I don't want to take away anything from Soulkey, but I also partially wonder just how much the result would've been if Last wasn't having the severe wrist pain that some were saying he had. It makes me wonder if the 1-1-1 is going to be solved soon at this rate, or rather, if the build will just disappear into the abyss and we'll go back to the 5 rax +1 into mech considering both Flash and Last lost with it recently.
Having said that, Last was on top of his macro from what I recall, and aside from proxy rax play in game 3 that needed work, I can't remember anything major standing out in the first 2 games to say anything. Even in the last game, he had a great position but Soulkey just killed that bunker like it was nothing, well played by him. Anyways, grats to Soulkey. A Soulkey vs Sharp finals will be interesting seeing as this is the best form Sharp has ever been in, and neither him nor Soulkey have won any major tournament like ASL or KSL so we'll have a new champion regardless of the outcome!
Can we get those wrist issues verified? Big deal if true. I wonder, does someone like Last make way more streaming than any potential prize money? It really didn't seem like Last was anywhere near his best, although Soulkey might have won even if he was.

Meanwhile Sharp...
Only 27 voted for Sharp? Called it Sharp looked insane vs Mind on Heartbreak Ridge (one of my favourite TvTs so far) and Mind is a TvT monster btw. So not sure why people were sleeping on Sharp here, he has been winning a LOT and Rain has been falling flat on his face a lot lately even though I know he's a PvT god he hasn't looked dominant at all in his play.
Super surprised by the Last v SoulKey results though :S Not that SoulKey won but 4-0? Shocker.
Starting from 10.00 onwards Last mentions bad control etc. During Moo proleague draft he made update on his channel http://m.afreecatv.com/rlatjdgus228/detail/0/39177919 Not certainly sure what he proclaims, but atleast that the pain is getting worse and worse and affects his play.
Damn I hope Last will be OK, hopefully it's not so bad that he will have to talk a prolonged break/retire to heal up :\
Flash and Jaedong have also had wrist problems, right? I swear I remember reading ~2 years ago that Jaedong was about to retire due to health reasons but obviously that didn't happen. I guess we're seeing what happens to players' bodies after 10+ years of intense practice almost every day :\
rainbow didnt know about last's wrist issues before the mpl draft and later apologized for making such a win-card based team putting pressure on last with wrist problems, he had to sit out of a few days of our team practice from it, but today last has started playing again and seems to be playing well.

Sharp is very cool and he's been improving at a tremendous rate, but Mind is no competition for him. He's no TvT monster by any means and TvT is his weakest matchup. He's an expro, to be sure, he's certainly better at it than 99% of the players out there, but most top terrans are better than him in TvT - and it is Sharp's best matchup. He played really well, too. All 3 games were really fun to watch.
