Connects ZerO Term Rain (P) Mind (T) Action (Z) ForGG (T) Ample (Sasin) (T) NamDuksun (Hana) (Z)
Gamst K League Larva (Z) Best (P) Horang2 (P) PianO (T) 815 (Z) AeTerran (T)
The second semi-final is Here. And now we shall see the second finalist in the 2nd season of the Moo PrO league. Will Gamst K League get through with names Like Larva, Best Horang2 and others or will it be Connects ZerO Term. With former ASL champion Rain, Our brainy Terran player Mind? Either Way, it should be a Great semi-final with a lot of exciting games.

Sasin vs Best game 1 . Sasin is Ample I think?
Yes, according to LP One of Amples alias is Sasin.
Edit: This is a good game at the moment. Ample is giving Best a good run right here.
this best guy is pretty good
Game 2 : Aegong(T) vs Hana (Z)
Hold onto your seats ladies and Gentleman. Rain vs Larva on Match Point. We got a big game on our hands.
Anybody knows an alternate stream ? I can't watch afreeca for some reason (and the starcraft livestreamer stuff is broken)
I can watch AfreecaTV streams when I remove the s from https. Not sure if that will help or not though.

I opened it on firefox with the https (not sure about the security implications of this but i don't really care ). D
Is the Larva vs Rain match finished already? Or it hasn't started yet as it seems the panel is just talking
edit: looks like it is done .. who won ?
Lavra vs Rain is now finished yes.
We now have Horang2 (P) vs ForGG (T) on Grandline SE

Really that many? Did he clear two mineral lines with it? I kind of missed it because I was watching Larva's stream.
Rain's PvZ is getting that Bisu flavor lately while his other match-ups are getting inconsistent.
vulture drop and reaver drop at the respective mineral lines at the same time
that did not end well for the toss(he did damage but his main mineral line almost got cleared by vults)
edit:
didn't even know that forgg switched back to BW from sc2

Protoss is 20 ahead in supply.

Now 30.
Horang2 is just a much better player.
think forgg is gonna hold but that was alot of damage

Not looking good for our Terran now. Once again a recall changes the tide of the game.

That was the decisive move but overall ForGG was out-macroed by Horang2 throughout the game, he would've lost in the long run as well even if he defended better.
Anyway, this upcoming Organ vs Action game is the most important of the series I think.
Piano is Organ, right ? (i know what i said lol)
You are correct goody, Organ is an alias of Terran player PianO
That is so many dropships. It feels like a sc2 tvz lol
These drops have been deadly. So many dead drones.
The casters are going insane with the dropship plays especially with the last dropships who had matrix shield around them
Organ destroyed Jaedong with this play earlier in the tournament as well.
MPL Drop-god.
I'm guessing its Mind VS 815 up next. Mind is in fine form at the moment. I hope we can see more of his good form tonight.
what happening with larva when he see flash on stream ? i saw he break hes headset
Not sure man, I figure most of us are watching Britney's stream.
I'm always watching either Larva's or Best's stream, the video quality is far better on those streams.
Yep, as I thought. Mind has been in hot form recently. Just running through our Zerg player.
Edit: We're just waiting on the Ace game to being now people.
Uhhhh... ZvZ as an ace match? Why didn't Reach pick Best?
larva so bad ?
No idea how the ace choices are made but that was stupid from Reach's team. Larva is not some world beater ZvZ and had previously lost his match. You take Best vs anyone over this.
Shame, I've always seen Larva as a pretty good ZvZ'er. However, congrats to Action and Connect Zero term on the great win. They go up 1-0 in the 2 best of 7 series. I can't wait until the second set for some more amazing Brood war action.

I think that's it really. You are either a great ZvZ-er (JD) or you're average, just like anyone else. The nature of the match-up after all.
Thanks for posting in the thread guys. When I made it I didn't think anyone was gonna bother posting. It's nice to see some TL brood war fans hanging about for tournaments like these.
At first I was questioning why Rain wasn't sent out, more than why Best wasn't sent out but then I think I figured it out.
Both teams were trying to avoid being the P in a PvZ so they instead chose to be the Z in that situation. So what happens when both teams think that way? We get a ZvZ lol

I think it was stalemate. Depends on who picked first but I think it was either this ZvZ or Best vs. Rain. No team was willing to give up a TvZ or a PvZ in this scenario. Too many variables and potential mismatches.

Doubt either team would send a T though, both teams have unreliable T users.

What i'm seeing right now isn't a replay, right ?
edit: flash is also watching the same game nevermind
No, I think they have 2 sets/days for each match. This Rain vs Larva is different for sure

looks like Aegong cracked
lmao her base got swarmed by lings the very moment she pushed
there are ultras on her base while she pressures the 2nd base of zerg lol
So many lings and ultras. Strong zerg or weak terran?
Larva is literally crushed after that game. lol
The female game was so random it was quite funny.
Is broodwar this big on korea or something ? That's alot of streamers watching the same proleague. Think it should reach about almost 50k viewers

A lot of it has to do with the fact that Britney has established himself as one of the biggest streaming personalities in Korea, especially now that Terror is vacant from his throne as probably the most noticeable online streamer in recent years due to his military service.
Brood War has made it as a mainstream streaming content, especially within the confines of AfreecaTV, but outside of that it isn't all that big, as evidenced by the relative mediocre viewing figures for KSL. It isn't necessarily the game itself that is drawing masses of people to watch it.
Damn, Rain's team absolutely demolished Reach's team. What a beatdown.

Everyone thinks:
Larva > Rain Nogg > Hana Piano > Ample Best > Mind
Guess the calendar lied to me. I thought set 2 would be tomorrow. Shame I missed it dammit. FFS

No one objective enough thinks that Larva is better than Rain. However Larva is viewed as a very good PvZer while Rain has vZ as his weakest matchup. Yet Larva got demolished in both matches. It is a surprise after all. Matchpoint is a tough Zerg map though.
The others are on point though. However it's just one match, anything can happen, which explains today's score I think.
I hate to place the blame on a guy who tried real hard and feels awful at the moment, but Larva really did not pull his weight this season. The only reason Gamst K League got this far was purely because 2-4 picks were absolutely dominating and Reach usually found a way to have Horang2 avoid Zergs, and have Piano exclusively be a TvZ sniping card.
I'm miffed Gamst didn't get to do the trophy ceremony as he wanted to, but I'm glad that Rain has shown that he can be an absolute beast when he actually practices.
