In trying to find an alternative path around to reach its target the Scarab ended up behind the mineral line where in its continuous efforts to reach the target on a short path, which was always blocked by the minerals though, it began to follow a neat string of small pathfinding locations that happens to wrap around the back of the mineral formation in that particular location until it eventually came out the other end to finally almost hit its target anyway, which at this point was jollily delivering its mineral load back to the Nexus, were it not for the other Probe that got in the way just at the last moment, blocking the Scarab and making it dud from timeout… In moments like this I always keep thinking that players would probably fare better not trying to maximize damage be targeting "deep" to get that magical 10 kill Scarab but rather prioritize guaranteed damage on targets that are actually easy to reach by the Scarabs. For example, if the opponent is pulling their workers, just target the one in the very back of the train.

Love the scarab in the PvP. Thanks Blizzard for not caring about SC BW. That's why it is still great. And gj community for making sure Blizzard knew we didn't want them to 'fix' the SC:R gameplay-wise. GuemChi was never going to bear Horangi, that was clear. And Effort is in a different league. Good to see him able to dismantle Horangi.

This group was pretty disappointing. Piano played like hot garbage...

But there were plenty of great moments, I loved the support bay cancel. Effort really showed his class and it is such a treat to watch someone play at that level. Sniping templars in the dark forest was neat. Piano messed up his vultures in the push and that was sad to see, but it was kinda exciting as he had that hidden base and was getting attacked a bit to aggressively if that managed to stay hidden.

Effort is a monster. I thought Guemchi actually gave him a pretty great fight though, especially given that Whiteout is looking like ZvP dream.

If he prepares well he has a bit of chance to advance to semis. I remember him being good and distinctive back in the day. If you vs him you had to be prepared for him to just throw down as many gates as he can support and overwhelm you (at least I reckon, never played him personally )

What a beast! 3 evolv hive is completely doable on 2 gas but no muta switch and no lurker so that makes gameplay very straight forward (basically kill templars or be humiliated) and insanely more difficult if protoss goes 2 base all in. edit: I mean he did make lurker at the end but that was only allowed because he cut hydra for more lings as protoss was making goons.
