What a douche. A repeated cheater and now this cocky interview.
He must suck in poker if he can't afford his own comp btw.
|
Well I'm not particularly comming from a SC:BW background so I don't have any hard feelings but he really sound like he's arrogant and cocky... lol at the "I beleive in talent and fast learning from watching replays",
And about what he said in TvZ I'm sorry but "Garimto King of the Hill", "current sc2ranks", "blizzard top200" and finaly "playXP" really shows how "hated" ZvT currently is in Korea. Feels like another terran that doesn't want to work for the win.
Also I really don't find his "playstyle" to be THAT impressive/skillful, he's just pretty much using the "hole" in the balance and he's doing it well.
anyways, I guess I can give some credit to the guy for kicking some pros ass... but I doupt he'll go as far as others will if he continues on this path.

this dude's like Idra, only if instead of actually having a lot of legitimate skill to back up all his BM, he just cheated and exploited imbalances, but still acted like a cocky douche about it. He also looks like he spends his spare time cutting himself in the bathrooms at emo concerts.
hope someone smacks him down hard.

Pretty nice interview overall, in depth and relevant questions. On a side note, I guess it must be nice for him to completely forget anything he has done seeing as he cant come up with an answer on the 10 minutes question ;D

TvP in favor of Protoss? Seems like a douche in denial ...

I think he deserves a second chance until proven otherwise.
He beat those players because he cheesed/abused reapers/or all-in'd every. single. game. I don't think any of his games went past 15 minutes. The reason he scored so high was because he is abusing Terran's dominance, especially Marauders and Reapers. Once it's balanced, he will fade from the spotlight as players with actual talent will rise up.

readmore.de: A few days ago, Blizzard uncovered its plans for the first balance patch. Anything you have to say about that? Are you content with the timing and the changes? Do you care about balance at all?
ajtls: It's dumb, but not bad. Reapers will barely be affected, my BO is still viable in TvZ, so is every reaper build; instead of having 10 reapers, you'll have 9. The tank nerf is just silly, too. They should've waited much longer to make a balance patch, because surprise surprise, the players are learning how to play the game, and Protoss is starting to dominate with unfair results. As well as, in Korea, Z's dont seem to have a problem with Terran.
Let me translate that for ya:
DON'T NERF ME BRO. I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN 1ST AT A TOURNY AND BECOME SPONSORED YET. MY CHEESE WILL TURN MOLDY. NOOOOOOOOO!

Sup Joe. GG. ^^
Gz with your performance.

he's nowhere near to IdrA in terms of skill...

More often than not it's, "once a cheater, always a cheater." This guy has had some pretty suspect DCs at the most opportune times in recent tournaments (usually right after his pushes get destroyed). Of course, can't prove anything but it's amazing that someone with as long a history of cheating as this guy is the same guy who seems to have a massive problem with staying connected to b.net.

I believe in second chances, but LS has had 3+.
I'm kinda disappointed with the interviewer not asking about his past, because clearly it matters to quite a number of people.
|
Not a fan of him that much to be honest.

ajtls: It's fresh enough that any SC1 players can come over and shove-aside the people that haven't been playing since beta. I don't believe in mass practice, I believe in talent, and I believe in accelerated learning through studying replays, over playing games. I can learn 10x faster out of 1 of my own replays, win or loss, than I can if I play 20 ladder games. I continue to get better with every game I play, since I've only been playing since retail, I don't think I'm as good as I should be, but yeah.
It's funny that he talks as if he's one of those elite SC1 players that can just come in and dominate SC2 because he's so damn talented, especially infuriating as this was said in response to being questioned on what he thought of QXC's results. Sounds like we're going to have another guide incoming, this time on how to improve by simply watching replays. No idea how pressure will be involved.

EDIT:
I was almost ready to forgive and forget if he had said something like "I no longer use LastShadow because when I was younger I completely betrayed the communities trust in me multiple times and generally acted like a dick and I want to put that all behind me. I have matured and hope to become a valuable asset to the community." Instead we get this.
ajtls: lastshadOw actually became my ID when I was playing around with a player named Kwark (now Teamliquid.net admin). At first it was Shadow[Siege], then LiquidShadow, then finally, a play off of lastgosu, using lastshadow. The ID ultimately means the last defense, or the final stand, as in the Reaper, or death bringer to end a battle. ajtls was just such a fun sounding name, and I really admired ajtls[S.O]'s play in SC1. I love how it sounds when it's pronounced fast with aye-jay-tee-el-es. It mean's "inhuman" or "machine" in Korean, it's just coincidence that it has the LS, which only helped to me adopting it. I go by both ID's.
Ugh.

After speaking with him personally at MLG he came off as a really soft and kind of underspoken guy. He does have the whole mindset that BW players are better and if they convert will still dominate but is he really in the wrong?
He is also extremely confident and gets let down very easily if he loses. I know his past but im looking at SC2 as a whole new game for him. That includes reputation.

I liked that part as well, considering Socke played some of the most epic lategame PvT's to date.

Why do people actually care about this guy btw? He's got like zero achievements except being a known cheater but he's still getting interviewed and put on TL for some reason.
