Wait what? Why? Isn't super ending in like 3 weeks? We will have one less episode? Or they will just push them back?

Ok so...there is a pretty big spoiler out there from a Japanese magazine regarding the show and the game dragon Ball xenoverse 2. I suggest you avoid reddit DBZ or other sites that cover dragon Ball if you don't want to see that image.

Far as I know we have four episodes left after today, which is the plan. Episode spoiler-wise, the factor that seems to support it is + Show Spoiler +the rest of the battle is going to be UI Goku, so I guess they think this is an "appropriate" time to include a break.

I believe there is also a break after 129 as well. So we get 128 - break - 129 - break - 130 - 131.

This last episode. Man. Feels train was strong. But it looks like next episode will be pretty amazing.

Really didnt like how Veggy went out halfway through. It was nice seeing vegeta's theme and him giving goku energy. Shoutout to using the same clip 3 times in the eat shit goku session. Finally UI is back

WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK. NEXT EPISODE LOOKS LIT

Honestly I was pleased they didn’t have some asspull that made Vegetable stronger near the end. Like Toppo, the second fiddle needs to know when he’s just a third wheel and step aside.

Seems like all you do is bitch about this show. Why not just enjoy it for what it is?

Don't be a drama queen. Criticism is part of the experience.

Vegeta being reduced to an energy tank is tough to swallow. So bummed. He had an awesome victory over Toppo, but I was just hoping for more. Bit there was really no justification for him to have anything left. Goku looking like he's many miles ahead of Vegeta again makes me weep. I liked the dynamic in the Zamasu arc.
Ya know, maybe it's ok Vegeta never beats Goku.

I for one actually felt a refreshing breeze of consistency with the scene. After using an attack that killed him once before, he should've at the very least been completely spent. He managed a couple bursts of his new SSB power, but ultimately he was at the bottom of the tank and it was only a matter of time.
The pacing with UI is what's gonna bother me. Instead of drawing this arc out time-wise, they made it a single 48 minute fight. In that time, Goku faced an opponent stronger than him, got completely beaten, discovered Ultra Instinct in that clash of power, and shortly thereafter manages to master it? Something even Beerus hasn't managed to do in all those thousands of years or whatever? It literally took Goku a matter of minutes.

Anyone here ever played DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 or similar game where if you use a suicide attack you don’t die, but you’re left with enough hp to tank 1 punch at best? That was basically this, and the consistency with video game canon gives me a chuckle. It’s amusing and fitting in its own special way.

I wish they had made UI like the bare minimum for GoDs.

From there, it was a matter of trying to get a feel for it. Once he went UI the second time against Kefla and managed to get a better feeling/maintain it for a bit, that was enough to give him an idea of what he needs to actually master it.
Overall, I agree that time seem short but this is DBS after all

I mean, the whole thing with time makes more sense if you just stop taking it on their word, and assume that this fight has been going on for hours instead of minutes, since that's what it feels like. The callback to the fight with Frieza, where things ramped up with 2 minutes left, is not lost on me however.

One of these days, UI will be explained.
|
My hope is that UI ends up being part of what allows Goku to at least start to mess with people from the higher up universes. My impression is that while Jiren is strong, there are many warriors stronger than him in the non competing universes.
I imagine a situation where Goku is much weaker, but UI allows for some fancy stuff like riding ki blasts with a Kamehameha
