The Past
Nathanias has been a high level player in Starcraft 2 ever since his involvement with the beta starting in March 2010 as Random. He has always been a strong contender on the North American ladder, competing in High Masters since 2011 as Terran.
He attended several MLG and MLG qualifiers as a relatively unknown player, though always getting knocked out by notable players such as TLO, Sasquatch and Ryze.
Nathanias then grew an interest in casting, competing with many other applicants for a casting position with IGN. He went all the way to top 4, which included a trip to Las Vegas to cast at IPL5.
The Present
Nathanias has begun to make a name for himself as a professional caster, starting up an alternative cast for KeSPA's SPL (SK Planet Proleague). Since then, his stream has exploded into much higher viewership, his calm method of casting mixed with his game knowledge, from being a high level player himself, presenting itself to be an incredible combination.
Growing in popularity, Nathanias casted the IEM Season VII - World Championship, where he was casting live games from his home!
Nathanias just got done casting 2013 DreamHack Open/Summer where he made a ton of fans with his enthusiasm and then went on to play in the 2013 MLG Spring Championship where he faced fierce opponents in Dear in the winner's bracket and losing 0-2. Being sent to the loser's bracket, he beat a Terran player Kungfueeyore 2-0 but then lost to another strong player in Shew 0-2, being eliminated from the tournament.

If you have any additional information you believe deserves to be added to this Fan Club, please PM me.
Also, to be quite frank, I have no idea how to edit or change the size of text on this specific forum and this is one of the first times I've actually created a thread. I'd really appreciate a PM from somebody knowledgable in that department as well.
Per usual, anyone who replies will be added to the Members list of the great Nathanias.

["big"] ["/big"] (repeated however many times you want, without the quotes) makes the the text between the tags bigger. Color tags like ["red"] ["/red"] and ["green"]["/green] also exist. ["center"] centers the text after the tag, putting it in the middle of the screen (ended by ["/center]. Tags like ["b"] (bolded), ["i"] (italic) and ["s"] (strikethrough) can be combined with any or all of the other tags. There is a lot more to mention - I'll see if I can dig out the BBCode guide for you.
Also, sign me up - this guy's casting has impressed me a lot so far this week.

It's like he turned on a switch or something

Awesome casting!! Add me!
I like this guy. Haven't heard him casting before this Dreamhack. I can say my first impression is that I like him. He should try to replace the Proleague guys....
You are an incredible caster. Sky is the limit.
Doing a great job at DH. Catz is so good at finding talent!
He can do the play-by-play stuff and back it up with some solid game knowledge.
Edit: started watching his stream from time to time over the past couple months, didn't realize he has a fan club. Sign me up :D

Awesome job man, really appreciate your shouting it makes it more intense indeed, now every dreamhack pls <3
He definitely got better over the weekend as his chemistry with Apollo improved, the first day was pretty bad, but he can't be blamed for the new partnership issues which almost always arise.
I'm super impressed he managed to not lose his voice all weekend, he was at just the right level of excitement most of the time, but it almost felt like he was close to losing his voice at the end of the three days! Must be all the tea and honey.
Superb casting at DH, honestly you have the most professional "real caster"-voice I've heard in esports. Like the best of both worlds - "normal" sports and nerd sports. Hope to see much more of you in the future!
Very impressive casting. Can't think of any criticism other than maybe tone it down a little in some of the earlier matches of the grand finals (although that might just be me, and also apollo's mic was lower).
Add me right now please
Nathanias totally blew me away with his Dreamhack casting. Articulate, clear, enthusiastic, exciting, and knowledgeable... he's quickly becoming one of my favorite commentators. He really stepped up this weekend.
Never heard him casted before DH, but did a very good job. Hope to see him casting more big tournaments in the future.
Sign meup, Great casting at dh!!
Sign me up, such an amazing cast.
His excitement level is EPIC during the gg moment.
Really blown away by Nathanias' casting this Dreamhack. Great job !
WP Nathanias, but a little less screaming would be appreciated. Perhaps tone it down a bit on the intros too :D
Nathanias definitely proved that he is ready to step up into the big boys league of casting, his casting at DH was great.
Must be a pretty awesome feeling to do small casting jobs for a long time and then your first big one is immediately such an epic one.

Wow, great casting at Dreamhack!
Don't get me wrong, I've never thought he was a bad caster, but never considered him part of the elite until this tournament. Seems the live venue and the atmosphere really feeded into his casting, and he reciprocated in spades.
Sign me up, hope to see more of him in future
He's been doing a good job at DH. Caught him on the 1 minute on OV creep spread though Time for it to recede is actually 45 seconds. Kinda useless knowledge. he he
Yay Nathanias
i remember when SPL just started, SNM + Whiplash was worse than they are now, and Nathanias started casting it and he also wasn't very good back then he's come far since that day

No. Please continue to bring enhanced excitement and be loud like the Korean casters!

Just listen to Vasacast every so often, after that everybody is timid and mouse-like by comparison.

Nathanias rocks.

I need in on this please :>

Really strong showing on DH. I think he made a lasting impression on anyone watching. I knew his solocasting, which was good, but he really shines in a dual cast. Such a great synergy, making it seem he never did anything else than casting with Apollo/Incontrol. I hope he gets more professional opportunities like this. I´ll listen.
Add me please, dude rocked it at Dreamhack.
Dreamhack brought the best out of Nathanias, very well casted thorough the event, hardly anything to criticize. Talk about taking an given opportunity and nailing it.
i remember when i was watching this guy stream from his humble abode in PA with like 70-90 other viewers. i actually discovered him because he was very active on gaulzi's stream chat. i thought heres this guy making hilarious comments, i should go watch him. i never played terran or watched terrans stream but yet i always tuned in to watch nathan because he was funny, had good insight for all races, and just had that something about him. like you knew he was gonna make it eventually. im so happy that he has worked hard to make his dream come true.
great job man.
maybe the biggest winner of this dreamhack. and he deserves it.
Great casting, more of the same!
Maybe one day you will rocket into stardom and get to share a coke with Maddelisk.
Great Casting @ Dreamhack. How's your voice?
Great Job casting man I was really surprised how good you are at it
awesome job man! hope you get to cast more big events!

bah posted something too mean
but why do people like his shouting and yelling? his voice cracks and it sounds terrible. i understand the moments are exciting, but a cracking shouting voice just ruins the moment

Well,
Tastosis seen milion times and for me quite boring (vocaly) still above others. Axslav/toss prety much same. Bitterdam offtopic craptalk, laughing half a game, sometimes they make good jokes, but when they dont... . Totalbiscuit is great but his understanding of game is simply not good enough. Day9/husky same as bitterdam for me. Apollo.... well... ok. It depends a lot on his partner i would say. He can make great duo(s) as well as terrible ones. Incontrol should turn into more "serious" mode, it fits him suprisingly good and if jokes are on ocassional basis they stand out much more.
BUUUUUUUUUUT! I was really impressed by nathanias. I heard him solocasting some smaller things and that was good, but maaan, i feel someone made his homework here. He made great predictions about builds (he knew a lot players better than other casters imho) and his ingame observations was also for me on higher level. I felt like incontrol was really impressed himself. This all combined with solid vocal oration. Ye he was yelling like madman, on the other hand, lot of casters dont even do that. And when they do, it sounds like ordinary "trained" thing. I dont blame them, theyve seen "nervwracking" ingame things milion times, but they are basically paid to make game more exciting, right?
Looking forward to another events with his (your) presence.

I can only agree with this, maybe the biggest compliment I can pay him is that he seemed part of the furniture at Dreamhack.

Took me a while to realize this was here, as a Desciple of Kappa i would be honored to be in this fanclub Watching you vs Dear right now. GLHF Nathanias Hwaiting!!
Damn this got a lot of attention quickly after Dreamhack, I'm incredibly happy for Nathanias. I haven't been browsing TL on the norm lately so if I could get some help with this fanclub that would be fantastic, just PM me for info.

Hey Maesy, in the part about IEM World Championships, I actually had my IP Whitelisted to log into the beta so I could cast live :D I wasn't being sent replays, that's why we had occasional technical issues

He lost in ATC against QuanticHyun sadly GOGO nathanias
He goes to ROOT House tomorrow!
Very good casts during IEM Shanghai!
Really enjoying the casting for IEM! keep up the good work
Nathanias is charging to view his vods? lol- I want to be a fan but that makes it hard T.T; He does great work, but~
I only set VoDs to subscribers because websites never link Progaming to my YouTube, there is nothing worth looking at in my VoD history in my opinion other than games I cast which go to YT or epic stream moments (also to YT). If there is legitimate demand I will switch it back but it's meant purely as a way to get my YT stuff linked instead of Twitch.
I'm kinda broke and YT pays way better than them so I'd like to build my YT more at this time. Sorry!
sick casting so far! really nice intros, and knowledge! keep it up
Bumping this for the love of + Show Spoiler +. This dude deserves so much for all the work and dedication he gives this game. He worked so hard to get where he is and hope to see him cast bigger events more often (WCS AM plzzz)
