Most of you know that BoxeR was scheduled to play in the 1st Round Survivor League on Januaray 1st. Though Survivor League had reserved a spot, they still needed the final "ok" from the army. Well now it has been granted, and we will finally see our hero on new years day!
FiFo's interview with BoxeR
It has been confirmed that BoxeR will be participating in the Survivor League as part of the Air Force Team. "BoxeR has adapted well to the army and trains hard, so we have given permission to allow him to participate in progaming".
BoxeR has been reported to started training once again for his Survivor match. He will be facing Pantech's Nal_keke, followed by either Samsung's StOrk or Dream.T)OriOn from CJ.
- Your match for the 10th Survivor league has been permitted. BoxeR - It's my first time in a while and I've only just started training against so the question is how much I'll be able to bring my skill back. Playing as a military soldier will probably feel different. I'll show the power of the military.
- If you could evaluated yourself, what percentage do you think you're at compared to before you enrolled. BoxeR - It's been about 2 months since I enrolled so I doubt I'm up to par. I'd say about 50%. But there's still time. I'll practice hard and bring it up as far as I can.
- The first game is against Pantech's Nal_keke. Have you ever seen his games. BoxeR - I've never even heard of him. He's probably a new blood that had a drive and rose during the 2 months I was in the military. I know how strong a driven player can be. Also there's no specific data on new players so they're actually more intimidating than StOrk.
- Have you seen soldier CLon's game? BoxeR - Clon's skill is as good as any proteam's ace zerg. After enrolling I've practiced a few times with Clon and lost a lot. For Clon there was a big gap between when he first enrolled and when he was promoted to air force. He brought his skill up by practicing as much as possible, but he lost his sense on stage matches and so I don't think he was able to show his skill during the last Dual Tournament.
- Explain your daily schedule. BoxeR - Wake up at 6:00, roll call at 6:30, breakfast at 7:00, morning training until 11:30, lunch at 12:00, afternoon training until 17:30, dinner until 18:30, roll call at 21:30, and practice until 12.
- What did you do during your first 3 day break. BoxeR - The first day I drank with some friends. The second day I shopped, and on the third day I went to SKT1 headquarters and met the kids. The last day I got some computer equipment and then returned to the army. It was my first break so I don't even remember what I did and just passed right by.
- A word to your waiting fans. BoxeR - I've never been away from the fans for this long. So I will try to show great games that will make up for the time I'm gone. Please continue to cheer me on. 필승! (Peel-seung, a victory cry often used in Korea)

권수현 = Dream.t)OriOn
Thx!
Yea I thought it was kinda lame how people were making a big deal about him leaving, and only 2 months later he comes back lol. It's good to see him again and all but kinda kills the drama of seeing him "back" you know?
Thanks a lot Live2Win. Yea it's kinda lame that he's back now just 2 months after all the farewell things. Even BoxerForever.com looks so lame now ><

Wow, sounds like Boxer only has less than 3 hours aday to practice and 6hrs to sleep o_O The next games will be tough for him.

lol, military fighting, btw even with boxer at 50%, he can still easily beat any semi pros/gosus

I'm glad that nobody picked up on this so I get to be the first to point it out...
I'm sure the army refers to him as BoxeR, don't they? ^^;

True fans of SlayerS_`BoxeR`...this video is for you...
SlayerS_`BoxeR` Inmortal Starcraft Legend!!!... He is the one who made Starcraft so popular...he is the one who won two WCG in a row(WCG 2001 and WCG 2002)...he is the "The Emperor"!... We all miss you SlayerS_`BoxeR`!...
How rusty you get during a period of inactivity varies from person to person. I personally start sucking badly if I dont play for a couple of weeks. So that 50% estimate might be spot on.
And even if BoxeR plays during all his spare time, he's still going to get only three hours of practice a day. Other pros play all day. Thats obviously a BIG disadvantage.
And I'm surprised boxer hasnt heard of keke. That guys been around forever it seems....
1. That video above was so ghey. Dude, I mean, wow. I think Boxer is great and all, but I mean, the Goo Goo Dolls? Put on a sad RHCP song or Metallica.
2. I agree...only English should be spoken...isn't it one of the Ten Commandments of TL.net? It's not a big deal if it's a couple words here and there, but come on...if you're having a conversation in Korean, you effectively ostracize the non-Korean speaking readers, and that's just rude. This is coming from a native English speaker, but I also am sure there are other non-native English speakers who also do not know Korean, and they would probably agree with me on this point.
3. Anyone else think it might be a PR stunt for the Army in some way?
Guys often use the word "오빠", (which you say only if u are a girl) as a joke. It's an old korean inside joke and no one actually takes it and thinks "is he a girl?", unless he's actually talking casually and using the word often.
Guys often say this because as you see in progaming and on Korean TV involving stars, girls are always the ones screeming. They're always screeming their heads off crying "오빠!!!!", and to imitate that, guys say the same thing girls do as a sarcastic joke.
I don't think it's such a big deal that he wrote 1 sentence in Korean. I might be biased because I can actually read Korean, but c'mon, it's one sentence. If people were having whole conversations in Korean or any other language, then yea that's a little over the line.
