I have a 4k display and my 2080 can barely run the game on 4k without raytracing.
Well yeah, a 2080 running this on 4k is just criminal lol. At least spring for a 3080 if you can't find a reasonable 4090. I'm personally wanting to get the new AMD cards with a 3080 for other purposes.
I'm not sure on the date, but I'm hoping 1.7 patch happens before then. I'll preorder it either way when it gets closer to release like I did the base game.
I'm still bummed that it's only coming out for the latest gen consoles + pc. I used to play CP on my ps4 pro and after the initial trainwreck it ran pretty smoothly

You haven't upgraded to PS5 yet? For shame! :p
Yeah, I have a friend who's on PS4 and he's just waiting for his to kick the bucket before he upgrades, though I think he'll upgrade in the next month or so. I'd say now, if you can, is the best time to get it.
Hedre's a dev breakdown of the trailer. They get into a lot of detail about lore and some aspects of the game. DO NOT THINK THAT EVERYTHING THEY MENTION WILL BE PRESENT IN THE GAME OR PLAYABLE BY YOU.
I did a test drive on my new gaming rig (4090) and maaaaaaan this game is so much fun. Had to stop myself from playing because I want to do a fresh playthrough with Phantom Liberty.
Finally can run it like the director intended: 4k with ray+pathtracing and still 70+ FPS.

If you buy the DLC, can you play the game with those upgrades? Yes. There's a point in the original story that diverges to Dogtown/PL and then you get access to everything as you progress through the DLC. Then you can just go back and do your thing in the original game. I haven't heard anything about NG+ so I don't know if you can replay the game from the beginning with everything yet.

I meant the improved game mechanics, etc., just to be clear. I haven't played the original game and was wondering if Phantom Liberty will improve my experience. From what I gather, there are things which are specific to Dog Town and there are general gameplay improvements.
A lot of the systems are getting overhauled and that is available to the base game. The AI specifically for police and vehicle combat is getting tweaked. Basically anything that improves the game, will be be for everyone to experience. The DLC specific stuff will be locked but that won't take away from the experience.
I will say though, don't expect this to be a life sim. You probably still can't sit on every sittable surface you come across. Eating actions at stands/bars might not be there. So if that's what you're hoping to see, you'll be disappointed. If you want a dystopic and vibrant future city that you can spend 100s of hours in, you'll find it Night City.
PS - They don't pay me to shill the game. It's just amazing and I want as many people to enjoy it as possible as I have. (PC for now)
Update 2.0 released earlier today. I've put in a few hours, seeing if my rig will run it. It does. Just as well as it did the day I bought it really. Frames only drop when loading data/new area. But graphically I'm still running on High/Ultra settings.
Maybe when I get my 7950XTX I'll take it to the edge but right now? It's smooth.
Also played a couple of hours (fresh start) and man it's such a good game. I like all the gameplay changes they made so far.
And with path tracing maxed out and ray reconstitution this game looks sooooo incredible. Didn't expect RR to make this much of a difference but wow I am blown away by those looks.

SO many people with jank systems are making it seem like they shipped a broken update. I'm running on a 5700XT and I'm have very little issues. It's hilarious how vocal the people who are having issues are. Any number of things could make your copy behave wrong, but I don't think CDPR is in the wrong mostly.
Most of the issues seem to be around quickhacks and photomode. Some graphical issues with RT/RR as well.
I heard the great news and started playing this today. I hope i get a lot of this game, cyberpunk is one of my favorite settings, I was super into Ghost in the Shell and the Hal-flife 2 mod Dystopia.
First bug I encountered that was odd: I'm strolling Pacifica, looking at where the DLC is gonna take place (gotta know where to go right?) and I call my car. I see it at the end of the hill and I wait. It never comes. Call a bike. Same thing. I go to the bottom of the hill and the car is halfway into the ground. Bike is just stuck there.
once you get double jump + air dash using katanas is amazingly fun (and extremely powerful too with the relevant blade perks)
no need to do finishers you can dismember most enemies in 1-3 hits.
performance i didn't notice a huge difference. i have a 3070 Ti so i can't run the psycho ray tracing :[. everything else on ultra, it runs great at 1440p
