There is an exaggeration somewhere in there :D. With these numbers you could infer that the Switch lasts like 15 hours on Smash. If by "almost 80%" you mean 25% or by "40%+" you mean "40% of my second 10,000mAh battery pack", then sure.

edit: I wish there was an "invisible" option to your friends. I resort to disconnecting my ethernet and wifi so that i can play botw in peace so that i dont feel forced to smash arena with my friends.

I’m sure there are logical reasons to our different experiences instead of saying that I’m exaggerating lol. Yes the screen brightness is the biggest factor for the battery life. I can confirm with my smartphone (1 week difference) and laptop (few hours).

And to be clear I didn't mean to invalidate your experience Emnjay, I got the main message that the Switch has really satisfying autonomy on Smash, I believe that. I was just pointing out the actual numbers as a light joke.

Creative, fresh, and varied. Above everything it just feels fun to play. It's exactly what you'd hope for from a game at that price.

Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back for whatever reason I really want to play the game. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition Thanks! I enjoy RPGs but somehow I've never played the DQ games before... this'll most likely be the one to introduce me to the series.

Animal crossing is just not for me, too casual, and no progression. Pokemon - been there for like 5 years of hardcore gaming it, not enough time to play the same things over and over Yoshi's Crafted World - Played and 100% finished Wooly world, was a nice game. Nothing revolutionary, but fun game. Not sure how different it'll be, hence not 100% sure that I'll get them. The two games that I am a little bit excited about are Luigi's Mansion 3 and Fire Emblem, never played either series, but I'll probably get both. Outside of that, nothing on the horizon for me. The indie games I'd rather get on my computer, as either free, or timeless steam library, better graphics, etc. Only primarily local multiplayer indies (Overcooked and Towerfall) on console. Also, off topic a bit, is there a teamliquid family plan online share group? I know it's only $20 bucks, but saving $15 would be nice for the probably limited amount of time I'll play Splatoon 2 and MK8 online.

Give me 2-3 solid games I'll love a year and I'm satisfied with my Switch, considering I have to balance it with PC time. I'm sitting at 13 games(not counting ARMS, which I sold back because of outside circumstances) and I've finished half of them due to release pace. Between Wargroove, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon I'm coasting this year. Maybe I'll pick up LM3.

Big things for me are Fire Emblem and Pokemon as I've played basically every main series title for both. If the Gamepass rumors are true I look forward to playing Reach on Switch as I wait for MCC to come to PC
