At this points, he adds nothing.
If you think his knowledge is bad in CSGO - a game he actually has played at an above average (compared to casuals) level, imagine seeing his nonsense in LOL - a game he doesn't understand at all.
Thorin is a good when he takes his ego away and just asks cohosts/guests questions. But in terms of analytical skills, he vastly overrates how smart he is.
I will, however, say that Richard Lewis makes even worse statements than Thorin. For some reason he thinks Tyloo is this super good team and Bntet a clear top 20 player after beating bad teams at the Asian Minor.
Or how VP should also just acquire AGO as that would make them relevant again or other stuff like how Refrezh is carrying Fragsters...
All of the above was said in one single episode of BytheNumbers. I would prefer if people just sticked to what they are good at instead of thinking they are experts at analyzing teams and players.

Exactly, i feel Lewis + Thorin are not doing what they should do, whatever that is considering i think they have no place nowadays
I mean, look at Machine, he is the host and he knows the game but he understands his knowledge is lower than say ynk, spunj and anders, etc..., so he tries to add some random stuff + entince conversation, just like redeye for example.

I also just realized that Thorin doesn't think Zywoo is good enough for French 2nd best team. Thorin's reasoning for not including him was that you don't often see from that level jump to the highest level. However, Zywoo is not your average FPL player. He is levels above everyone in the tier 3 EU scene.
Obviously you wouldn't pick a player that averaged a rating2 of 1.1 against bad teams and expect him perform at higher levels. However, a player averaging 1.4 rating2 at that level is better than the average player in a top 15 team.
Compared to Jugi who was a star-player for too long in Tricked and was someone I predicted to be the break-out player of 2017, Zywoo is significantly better than what Jugi was back then.
Not including him in your 2nd best french team shows a complete lack of understanding on how to evalute player skill.
And btw the buyout of 100k euro is a steal. As long as he is a good teammate and can speak english well, I would asses his actual market value of 300-400k euro.
(Btw you could definitely make a french team consisting of Zywoo, Apex, Nbk, Scream and whoever as 5th that would be significantly better than the current G2 team.... a team Thorin thought could be top 5 in the world(???)).

Uh also his game knowledge is not above average compared to casual, he is gold nova 2 on ranked afaik. He is nothing but waste of time.
Yeh averaged a 1.57 rating2 over 3 maps against LDLC. Either Thorin just doens't bother doing basic research or he vastly overrates how easy it is to produce those numbers against tier 3 teams. Probably a combination.
North want a tip in order to solve your AWP problems?
Buy Zywoo now for 100k euro and let him rock your team for 6 months. Then assuming he want to go back to a french team, he can most likely be sold for a huge net profit.
The whole notion that you need to see players in a ton of games against top teams before you can say how good they are is simply just wrong, and if you rely on that method you end up wasting too much money on overvalued players.
For instance, Cromen, noone knew who he was 3 months ago. However he was also producing very good numbers at Noreg and if you extrapolated his performance you could predict how he would perform against better teams, and you wouldn't be surprised by how well he stood in for Faze and Heroic.
If heroic had been a bit smarter, they would have acquired Cromen on a permanent contract before he got the opportunity to show his skill to the rest of the world.
Zywoo is a level above Cromen, and after Cromen there are 2 tiers of nothing before you find the next best player in the scene.
Sorry for my rants, I just find it ridiculous how the only team that seemed to be intersted in acquiring Zywoo was Imperial.

Yeh and he just finished school now but still on contract for additional 6 months with shit tier team aAa.
For those who are interested. The average performance for when a player from the 10th best team (roughly) meets the 60th best team in the world is a rating2 of 1.27 (or other teams where the skill difference is similar).
Another stat: When a player is 3 tiers above his teammates (e.g. a top 30 player in the world playing on the 60th best team), a player will average a rating2 of1.26.
On any metrics, Zywoo way outperforms what you would expect from a player that isn't on a top 10 team. When people say he could challenge s1mple as the best player one day, I don't think they are overhyping him.
Anyway that's enough of moneyball tips from me today.
This new mousesport roster looks like it has some more potential. Give it a few more weeks and it could compete for top 3-4. Definitely doesn't appear like Styko brought anything unreplaceable of value to the squad.
gla1ve with 1.44 rating against mouz, and his overall rating in last three months is 1.20. My god, Astralis is definitely going to be the first team to have all of their players in top 20.
