This thread so silly. You're a silly man. I laughed (with you) for quite some time on the fact that somehow you would watch a 1979 film, hear a sound that sounds like a SC sound, then immediately that the 1979 film was influenced by Starcraft.

Silly silly silly ^_^
The OP was actually about a more recent French DVD version of Aliens. Not the original film.
There was no DVD menu and it used a different sound for the door in the original

I'm know the one laughing at your silliness hehe ^_^
In the South Park Episode "The Jeffersons" they also use a soundtrack which is quite familiar from Heroes of Might and Magic 3, haven't been able to find any links showcasing this though.
The "scream" used in SC1 when you click on the terran academy is also used in Half Life 2 in the Ravenholm levels (when those fast zombies come you'll recognise them because of their scream).
SC-sounds start at 05.09, pretty easy to identify. (video lags like hell unfortunatelly)
Watch the whole thing for context, it's a great piece of the old Daily Show at it's best.
Not sure if the sound is originally from SC though, after scrolling through the thread.
I hope this is reason enough to bump this thread. I was sure this topic was brought up at some point so I looked for it. Some people who weren't around at the time might enjoy reading it, too. Unfortunatelly not all vids are working. Maybe there are new examples that people found in the meantime, always fun to watch/hear. It's like a secret sound-net spread around the media only we can hear.
