Thread Rules 1. This is not a "do my homework for me" thread. If you have specific questions, ask, but don't post an assignment or homework problem and expect an exact solution. 2. No recruiting for your cockamamie projects (you won't replace facebook with 3 dudes you found on the internet and $20) 3. If you can't articulate why a language is bad, don't start slinging shit about it. Just remember that nothing is worse than making CSS IE6 compatible. 4. Use [code] tags to format code blocks.

Particularly I'm thinking of mobile design, but other use cases would be interesting, too.

Great idea, after I make my first trillion I'll give a billion to everyone on this thread too, haha. Unfortunately it looks like works already well underway. https://www.ft.com/content/67e3ab88-f56f-11e7-a4c9-bbdefa4f210b

Particularly I'm thinking of mobile design, but other use cases would be interesting, too. Depends. Just look at some examples. Mostly icons work if they are cleared and unambiguous. You'll also always want to run ux tests with potential users when you're this uncertain. Just mock it up in balsamiq or so, and get ppl (ideally a representative panel, but probably friends and family) to test the UI.

When I was still doing such things I was trying to use icons whenever possible. Just make sure that you have tooltips for them so you don't confuse people. Edit: I think I might ask people over at unixstickers to make one like that

Edit: I think I might ask people over at unixstickers to make one like that It's a mobile app. Things work slightly differently, because there are no tooltips. Also, buttons have to be big enough for fat fingers to press comfortably, so you can often fit some text on them. But it really depends. Hence, test with users.

I'm assuming Java/objective c, but outside of that my knowledge of what goes into the standard phone app is limited. That depends entierly on what you're planning to make. Java for android and objective c/swift for iOS is the standard, but for instance I'm currently making an AR application for iOS and haven't touched either of those (I'm instead using C# through Unity). It's also possible to write an entire app in html. It's all about the usecase. Often with mobile applications you'll want to show some kind of data, so knowledge of databases/cloud services/json/rest/whatever else you might need is a good idea as well.

This is for a spare time app, so I'm not too worried about having ideal UX(i.e. won't spend a huge amount of time, or any money on it).

Eventually you should be able to input a noisy vector to the GAN and get a filthy-smut-frame and then some sort of LSTM to produce the next filthy-smut-frame. Keep predicting frames until you're too confused to be into the filthy smut.
