So my girlfriend and I have been planning to move to Korea for about a year now. She as an English teacher through the EPIK program and me on an H-1 visa. I did a small amount of research on the requirements and thought that I met them.
Now that she has officially been hired I began the process of applying for my visa and saw that for US citizens it is required that they be in college or be a recent graduate. After reading this minutes, ago I am in a bit of a panic.
I`m trying to weigh my options. I am open to the idea of moving with a D-2 visa but I am unsure a Korean school would take me.
I am considering going to my local community college for a winter semester to make it appear that I am a current college student before I leave. My concern is that if I am denied will I be able to go to Korea on a tourist visa still?
Worst case scenario is it possible to live in Korea and make a border run every 90 days?
I would really appreciate any information, or another website or resource that may be able to help.
