Well shit... with the exception of #1, it sounds like weed is perfect for counteracting Adderall's side effects.

don't worry about it... just talk to him. he's there to help you edit: @OverTheUnder Travis legitimately needs adderall edit2: seriously, my old man is a shrink, and a lot of the patients he sees are serious cocaine abusers, and one day I asked him why don't you just report them to the police, it would help these people, and he said he was legally bound by doctor patient confidentiality

The last one is supposed to be "loss of sexual desire". You know what actually wasn't even listed in the article until somebody added that in today. I call {unintentional?) vandalism.

- usually docs make you sign a "contract" if they are going to prescribe a controlled substance for more than 6 months; they don't have too but it is highly advisable that they do to protect themselves should there ever be a problem. This contract almost always says they can drug screen you randomly without a reason to test for compliance and illicit drug use etc.. if you are a child your parent would have to sign it etc. - you can always refuse the drug test regardless, but in general that means that is the last time he might prescribe you any controlled substance for sure (plus even see you as a patient etc.. depends on each doc) - in fact if you know you are going to test positive, and you go ahead and have the drug test, it will stay in your medical record (insurance companies will eventually know etc..) - doctors usually check patients when they suspect lack of compliance or drug abuse - but it can be purely random if they are following good practice guidelines - if you are under 16 they will inform your parents for sure and between 16-18 they should but some don't cause they don't know their laws - depends on different states too. Also to drug test a child you need parental consent (or judge order). - if they suspect your selling (i.e. diversion) your medications they can and some will report you to the authorities but in my experience very few actually do (its hard to prove plus messy) - they generally just fire you as a patient and don't see you again. - if you test positive for non-prescribed controlled drug, or illegal drug or you don't test positive for a controlled substance you are supposed to be taking that is probably the last time you will see him (they will usually ask you did you take your adderall this morning etc.. you better test positive for it) - drug tests take usually 24-48 hours if they are sent off to a lab, or can be immediate if they have the kit or tester in the office (most don't), if they use a local hospital lab they might have the results that same day too - in which case they will cancel your prescription by phone if you have not filled it yet when they find out - any time you lie to your doctor, is usually the last time they will see you
