He's going to have to do it again to actually be considered as one of the better players in the world. nestea v inca were the worst finals for me tbh.

I can't stand it when a commentator says 'this player is so good that they can afford to open greedy like this'. They can't. They're playing in a pro-level game where the opponent also wants to be a macro-show off. That kind of playstyle will lose to anyone in GM by any regular all-in. Too many pro-gamers get praises for being 'solid macro' when it's not solid at all. 'Daring macro' would be a better description. So in a way, I kind of like this wake-up call victory by Seed. I'm still a loyal fan of MC and hope he gets his delicious revenge.

Seed will still have a lot to do to catch up to MC's 2 championships, but it's certainly a good start to beat the Protoss president himself! I feel really good for Seed and being one of the rare few who supported him all the way and in every of his game (as he didn't get to play my favourite player Mvp even though they were in the same group xD) I just feel so proud of this IM-Protoss right now. IM now has champions in each race, truly a remarkable feat, best sc2 team no doubt, they just need to start showing it in team leagues! Anyway, congratulations SEED!

It's not the size of the standing army, it's the infrastructure. In this case, MC can't save himself even if he sees the instant when the all-in pushes out of SEED's base. He doesn't have the tech, sentry energy or # of warpgates to push it back. but yes, it's as cheesy as SEED. MC played greedy with no basis and was in the dark. Seed won because he won the mind game. Doesn't make him on the list of 'best tosses" he certainly deserves the win.

There's no real good way of making those games look awesome or fun without something exceedingly retarded happening (like both player opening Phoenix or cannon rushing or something) It either becomes 1 base allin micro war or slow macro games with million colos You clearly havent watched enough PvP then, the games here today werent really representative of PvP and how exciting it can really be, i mean check out Heros game vs a protoss cant remeber who it was, recently in TAC i think. He went for storm vs collossi/immortal and won, it was a crazy game with storm drops and not just war of the worlds which EVERYONE, detests. They were poor games entertainment wise today but every match up has its let down series

Do I wish we could have longer game and series? Sure. But you can't take anything away from Seed. He is a champion. But to reach the status of the others you mentioned, he need to do it again and again. Even if these finals went Bo7 and all macro games, it doesn't change this. A legacy is never built on one series. I think what hes trying to say is that, while nestea also dominated his opponents in his GSL matches, this was just a series of build order wins with a small bit of mindgames, right up until the last game. Until that one game the casters were able to call GG in advance the moment they saw the builds that were happening. Also the all-ins seed used are really easy to execute. I'm not taking away from seed's victory, as clearly MC got emotionally messed up after game one, so Seed deserved it for having superior composure and planning. I think it's just that he didn't showcase the skill that a typical GSL champion would have. For the most part, he didn't have time to, as he just all-inned. But it made for a pretty crappy finals that was a little over an hour. :/

Even so I can't help but admit the lack of people was concerning. This is the finals featuring one of the Koreans who actuallly has a personality and still not many show up... perhaps because it was a pvp AND gstl final being tomorrow is drg was playing crowds probably wouldve been bigger

Mirrors show alot about what the races mirror mu is about and thats about it. Im sorry but ZvZ while it is getting alot better is still largely about one or 2 base baneling play and if it gets late game mass roach infestor, niether of those things are what zerg is about, not to mention for the longest time zvz was very one-basey when zergs were expanding faster than all other races in their other mu. In TvT well, terrans love marine marauder medivac in most match ups but in mirror it always comes down to marine tank/viking, your point makes no sense and you seem rather biased against toss save a select few who you deem honorable. I usually don't pick on peoples post like this, but cmon, try and be a little objective. Yes PvP is alot of all ins but that does not mean protoss is an all in cheesey race. Some of the best long macro games ive seen involve toss, and nowadays PvZ seems like toss defending semi all in roach play and trying to play the long game more than the other way around.

Typical TL mindset is that macro=skill but clearly MC was outplayed tonight, especially in the second game. Winning a BO7 with 2/3 all-ins is not the same as winning 3 games on ladder consecutively with all-ins
