Maru is guaranteed first in the group because he beat Supernova and map scores arent used in OSL Losira is guaranteed fourth for losing to Trap

I could be wrong but I thought people in the LR were saying that the tiebreakers are only played for 3 way ties

Isnt this the revered holy ground of korean tournaments and this is the format it has held to over the years? Has this never occurred during OSL's of the past? I didnt mind the BO1's during the first round, but having half the matches in a night be inconsequential and then ending with this situation is leaving a bad taste in my mouth and i really cant wait to get back to a GSL personally They probably didnt consider this because in previous OSLs there actually was a Group selection ceremony where there was something like a gentlemen's agreement where they try to avoid teamkills as much as they can. Now, for some dumb reason, did a random ro16 drawing which is mainly to blame for this shitty situation. Its not that big of a deal because fantasy is already eliminated and rain is a favorite to win over fantasy in this case anyway but it couldve been worse. So OGN pls fix your shit next time you run WCS. Also, did we ever get an explanation why OGN didnt do a group selection ceremony anymore? No more extra time slot because of LoL most likely?

I feel really sad for the players who end up in this situation (both Fantasy and Rain, but also First and hyvaa...).

You've shown that despite your glorious legacy, you fail to understand how tournaments should be made, using Round Robin for the group stage, leading to this completely unacceptable situation. I feel really sad for the players who end up in this situation (both Fantasy and Rain, but also First and hyvaa...). Funny how people switch so fast... A few weeks ago, Khaldor criticized OSL for the match format and everyone gave him shit: "GSL jealous", "respect the heritage", etc. And now as this situation unfolds (which isnt really OSL fault, it's just how shit unfolds in round robin), everybody is giving shit to OSL (even the writer of this article). Stand your grounds for once.

Lots of different people on the internet, no need to group everyone together like that, crazy I know but I think it might be reasonable. =D Also it kinda is OSL's fault for not playing Rain vs. Fantasy first.

Stand your grounds for once. What ? How is what I'm saying related to people giving shit to Khaldor for what he said about that ? Plus, "it's not the OSL fault, but Round Robin". It's the OSL fault for using Round Robin. It doesn't happen naturally, duh ! I criticized the GSL for using Round Robin in the blizzcup (which IMO is partly responsible for the Nestea/Naniwa scandal), so I fail to see how I could stand my ground even more....

Stand your grounds for once. You do know that it's very possible that the people who gave Khaldor shit are not the same people who are giving shit to OSL? Besides, saying "I like round robin and OSL in general, but maybe they could've prevented ENDING with Rain vs. Fantasy" isn't really moving grounds. I assume people who said they didn't mind the OSL format didn't consider this particular coincidence. Anyway, like the writers I didn't expect Kangho/Bomber to win 2-0! I expected something along the line of the predictions here. But well played and I'm glad First/Rain got through so at least hyvaa won't be the most hated person this season haha
