Only a few days ago you all enjoyed the climax of our very first TSL. I would like to use this post as an opportunity to thank everyone involved, make a few announcements, and to make a request.
Thanks to:
Hot Bid and Kennigit
These guys planned this thing out to its very detail. I think a lot of you can't even imagine how many hours these guys put in to TSL the past few months.
Our programmers: R1CH, SonuvBob, Bockit, PoP
Thanks to them for giving us a hack-free event, paired up with an excellent website and even a TSL database!
Our casters: Artosis, Day[9], Chill, Manifesto7 and Yannis
The TSL videocast was both accessible to those not so familiar with the strategic depth of the game as to those who loved deep analysis. Artosis and Day[9] shined with excitement most of the times paired up with Chill's calm analysis. A few times we even got to hear the two manliest persons (I'm sorry Reach) in the StarCraft scene: Manifesto and Yannis. I'd like to thank Vaul too, who has been covering the TSL preliminary stages, and unfortunately could only cast a small portion of the TSL Ro16 due to lag.
Our sponsor
No sponsor, no prize. No prize, no players. Without Razer, this TSL would have meant a lot less to the foreign StarCraft scene. Even after agreeing to sponsor our event, they kept supporting it with a bracket contest and a great deal on their products.
Our liaison team
Thanks to Manifesto7 and FakeSteve for organizing our contacts with Razer.
Our graphics team
Alffla, XeoFreestyler, d.arkive, LastRomantic, Sigrun, Yubee, pachi, KizZBG, Daigomi and Yannis_Ziakas. The website, the player pictures, the overlay, the banners all was done by them. If you liked the art they made check out this thread, and thank them there. Also, special thanks goes to Yannis, who made the awesome intros we all love.
Our coverage team
Composed of Daigomi, Hot Bid , Plexa and Manifesto7, they kept the TSL close to its viewers. Interviews, recaps, previews, it all added to the excitement. Big thanks to them.
Our referees
Intrigue, Carnac, Kennigit, FrozenArbiter and a few I must have forgotten about, helped out with keep the TSL games fair and mannered.
Our ladder partner
Raelcun, Yello-Ant, Snet and Scythe, my hat goes off for you.
Various others
- flag, for helping the entire foreign scene catch numerous hackers (yes Spades, that includes you). - MeetYourMakers, WGTour and GosuGamers, for providing additional coverage of our event - PsyonicReaver, for being a guest commentator during the qualification stages - You, for supporting our event, and tuning in to our videostreams.
This is not the end
Help us entertain you
Even though TSL Season 1 has only recently ended, your precious TeamLiquid staff members are already working to make TSL2 a reality. We will not release any details yet, but I promise we're doing everything we can to make TSL Season 2 happen, and even bigger and better than the previous season
To do this, we would love some general feedback on season 1. Think about what you really liked, and more importantly, about what you disliked. After that, make a nice structured post here. We'll do our best to grant your wishes.
In the meanwhile.. In the meanwhile you can enjoy all of our TSL Season 1 vods here, or watch all of the TSL Ladder replays from your favourite players here.

yo where mah money?!
ive already expressed how great it was, so i wont regurgitate that here. here's to a better starcraft future!
|
Wow thanks so much to everyone that made this happen! I always wished I could understand Korean and hear what's going on in a Starleague, having quality English commentary was just so awesome! When I first heard you guys were doing it I didn't think a bunch of people online could come together and make something like this, but WOW!
Great stuff ~!

You forgot to thank shield battery.
|
really great job. I enjoyed every bit of tsl and I didn't think sc had anything left to offer us fans until sc2 came out. Tsl proved me wrong and I hope for TSL 2 to be bigger and better . On another note what took so long? I always feel TL had the power to do something this big a long time ago. ( maybe not this awesome haha) but yea u know what i mean

It really was a joy to watch, plus the vods will also bring many new members even months past the event; artosis/chill combo really did cater to our communities preferences. We have dreamed of stuff like this for years, thanks for making a reality guys.

Well done even was well done. Awesome work guys.

Thanks very much for this event. I think this means a lot to the foreign community. All your efforts will not go underappreciated!

yay for inc!

I never thought a mere control group of diehard fans could make such a professional event. This tourney was perfect from beginning to end. The quality was just insane. You made WCG look like an amateur LAN. And a TSL2? Wow, my pants just dropped.

The words Thank you come to mind, but they aren't good enough. I loved TSL like LR loves Reach and YellOw.

Unbelievable work you guys have accomplished. Good luck trying to top it.

Loved every minute of it. It blew me away and exceeded all expectations. I really hope this can become a long term fixture and not just a once off.
|
was a pleasure to watch
thx tl.net <3

TSL is the best thing TeamLiquid has ever done. I can not wait for season 2!
|
"thank you" just doesnt seem adequate. TSL was just absolutley top notch. I felt so much love from all the staff, players, and viewers, this really was a league for the community by the community. And that is what made it so special for me. Even the perhaps less noticed things like the refs, the observers doing their best to catch all the action, the hilarious interviews, the coders, the fucking godly art team. None of you went unappreciated.
I was trying to put together a post with some ''negative'' feedback to help with TSL2 - but honestly, I just couldnt come up with anything worth posting ><
I wish I could buy a round of drinks for you all.. so much love guys <3
cheers
