There's a delay everyone, there was a power outage in Germany and Carnac (our observer) very recently arrived. It was quite lucky actually, we almost had to delay another week.

So what's it looking like?
kOs won the first few games with really good mech play, then F91 came back with a precise muta/hydra attack to avoid getting swept. In the deciding game F91 used his star sense and blocked a vulture temple-push runby on Medusa with a two zerglings and drones and kOs couldn't get enough valkyries in time to stop F91's mutas. F91 wins his second liquibition and is on his way to the golden mouse.

There are these beings called the stream gods. A long time ago the stream gods endowed TeamLiquid with the ability to stream quality events, and as a sacrifice to them we delay the broadcast 15 minutes every time. But we became cocky and drunk with our own success, and had TL Old VOD night which started on time, a slap in the face to the agreement we had with the stream gods.
Needless to say, they were not happy. The next event we had, Liquibition 26 (JF vs Horror) experienced so many technical difficulties that we couldn't even stream it and had to release replays. Everything went wrong, including things that never ever went wrong before.
Since then, we've never trifled with the stream gods again. I even made an apology post in our staff forum:
Sunday, December 28, 2008 [23:42] Sonuvbob: so old vod night is just a vod [23:42] Sonuvbob: it'll take 2 minutes to set up a stream [23:42] Sonuvbob: so where will the delay come from? [23:42] Sonuvbob: maybe i'll die or something [23:42] Sonuvbob: and r1ch will have to d/l it [00:41] HotBid: trust me [00:41] HotBid: the stream gods will find a way [00:41] Sonuvbob: there's so few possibilities [00:41] Sonuvbob: i'm scared [00:44] HotBid: the universe [00:44] HotBid: will find a way [00:44] HotBid: yes, one of you may perish [00:44] HotBid: the delay rules are not to be trifled with
Dear Stream Gods,
We are sorry for offending you. Starting Old VOD Night on schedule was a slap in your face, we know that. I don't know what we were thinking. We should have just started with the usual 15 to 30 minute delay tribute, but we were carried away. We were drunk with our own power. For a week, we felt we could accomplish anything, which included starting streams on time.
This goes without saying but it will never, ever, happen again. We will start every stream with a minimum deferential 15 minute delay. We are sorry. We acknowledge your power and will not meddle. We are merely humans wishing to run a stream, and we recognize the all-powerful Stream Gods and their mandatory delay requirements. Please do not give us more repeats of this week's Liquibition, we cannot suffer such wrath.
Again, our humblest apologies. --TeamLiquid.net
That's why we can't "build in" the delay. If we just built in the 15 minutes, we'd have to have another 15 minute delay on top of that. There's no fooling the stream gods. They always know.
i am actually MAN enough to stand up and go work out instead of wait, can any of you guys say you are man enough to do this, my gym is 25 minutes away.
Shrug, I remember delays on most things, I personally don't mind but just time it so that there is no delays. Like for example if it starts at 2. Start it at 3 just to get everything worked out before hand so people don't show up on time and end up having to wait.

Be honest.
I would have done that if this collided with my routine workout schedule, yes. Fortunately I am MAN enough to solve this problems weeks ahead by scheduling the workout in the morning.
we had an eartquacke here, i'm a bit dazzled even now, when it happened it felt like i 've smoke sg really powerfull stuff or be drunk just in a blink. this is the biggest delay we've ever had started with me having no power for 5 hrs (until 15 minutes before we were supposed to start)..., then I had to render intermission vids, we had to soundtest, etc not within our control

Amazing insight. Since I didn't register on the site, I must have not used it, since streams and events are only available to registered users. Oh wait.
Actually both Windows and VLC work just fine for me, but GOM tells me I don't have the appropriate codec. Kinda strange considering I have the latest version.
Fancy build orders won't work against F91, at this point he isn't even struggling . I wonder if he can block Fantasy like that with his wierd builds . F91 blocks mech build better then some progamers in PL i may say .

I was referring to the quality of kOs' builds and how seemingly easily F91 seemed to win in the first 3 games. It just didn't feel like a pro-gamer level.
Making those vultures... maybe he somehow scouted a bunch of hydra and panicked... but then those irradiates just seemed to be really badly placed. And those two irradiates could have turned the game around from what I see.
what is it with this stupid fancy build orders? like he wants to show off his superior korean/coach knowledge against a noob?
he had no chance and showed bad strategy/gamesense overall.
either kOs is really really bad or he doesnt respect his opponent, the organizers and the viewers by failing with his bos in the first few games against "simple" mutalisk. big waste of time imho.

It would just be unfair to have Sea, UpMagic or Jaedong vs F91 because it'll be too one sided. How about one of the other Chinese pro-gamers who have shown that they have what it takes to take on F91, such as LX, PJ, LoveTT, Super...etc I think that will make for some good games and Lag won't be an issue either.

Yeah you need to bring a chinese to beat a chinese player .
On a more serious note, the outcome is actually somewhat suprising. While I did expect F91 to take the series relatively easily, I did not expect k0s to not win a single game.
Anyway, while he does need to work on his mechanics somewhat, this is certainly going to raise even more interest in F91 in Korea. Who knows? Maybe another important (ex-) progamer will offer to play in the next Liquibition.
Pretty anti-climatic. Did kOs have a bet with someone he'd beat F91 only using mech or is he just not that great in MnM? Cause I found it rather odd that he went mech every game. I'd love to see Retje or Sea vs F91

i doubt ret would play versus chinese lag.
Imagine a ZvZ with the sort of lag there was versus Nony... :x
On the last game I was very surprised even though kOs went very quick starport->science lab, he didnt have vessels with irradiate! Oh and his irradiates were, Im sorry, total D-level like.
There is a pack of mutas and you irradiate the one further out from the pack and the easier one to pick out? :/
F91 easily win 4-0, who's next? next LB must be much more exciting! F91 and kOs are not in the same level, need to find a Korea or China progamer to take down F91

Dude, Upmagic is an A-class progamer, if he wins he will stay there till TL dies (ie forever).
bugs me when I hear 'f nine one' because it looks like it is 'f ninety one' as in f91 gundam. Anyone know that his name is not actually referencing this?

wow. everything was in place. big prize money, chill and day casting, a korean vs a top foreigner, and then kOs insists on building vultures vs a hydra-mutalisk army?
it just looked like he didn't care about these games, tried a few cute builds and got stomped horribly. this couldn't have been more disappointing, especially after all the hype and the one week wait.
if you don't play to win just don't ask to play in this kind of competition.

yes that's how his name from, he used to play gundam and F91 is his favorate, so he named after it.

Having both parties get paid is such an increase in incentive for many of the top players, I'm sure.
I rather all the money goes to the winner. Losers deserve nothing. K0s played terrible. He doesn't deserve 50 dollars for gracing us with 4 horrible games.

50$ is nothing. You can't even buy a gun to kill yourself from shame with that money. Maybe a fake sword though.

Spectacular casting. Thanks so much, Chill and Day[9].
And...wow. I don't know what to say. I was really, really looking forward to this. To be honest, I thought F91 would win after 6 or so hard fought games.

?
ZvZ is an awesome matchup.
Nubs just don't understand and appreciate the finesse involved.
i doubt it F91 has proven that he can simply overwhelm his opponents like today on colloseum even though k0s had gols and F91 had mutas he still managed to harass like heck and destroyed k0s's army

the fuck? zvz is my 2nd favourite matchup, its one of the most tactical And micro intensive matchups imo.

I agree that it's tough to play, and it requires a lot of skill to appreciate as well. However, I also think that for the amount of effort that it takes to put on one of these there should be more playtime involved than 7 max ZvZ's. If they're set on playing ZvZ, they should play BO 11 or something similar to try to make sure that we get enough games and entertainment xD
WHy do you guys keep mentioning Upmagic and other S-class pros as an alternative? Do you really think they will take time out of their busy training schedule for proleague and the individual leagues to play some foreign scrub. Stop making ridiculous guesses imo.

No, we've seen enough rape. Think about it, not only did f91 convincingly take down iefnaij but he also slapped around nony after his training in Korea. Don't get me wrong White-ra is a great player, but i really doubt he'd do any better than nony of iefnaij.

Actually his ID is a reference to f91 gundam, I think. In the All Star Night show, he talked about how he favored a f91 robot or something in a robot fighting kind of game and therefore named himself F91. I personally know nothing about gundam.
Dreiven would EASY win f91. He did it plenty times (in bo3) in the past. MOndragon would also win. White-Ra would make a close game. Europeans are simply stronger than any american atm.

It would be a nice idea to make america vs european,
for america i suggest, jf, nony, idra, chosen and castro or dino or even tidy who is doing well these days
for european there a lot of people who can play but must are white ra, strelok, mondragon and ret since people loves him and he is decent for the rest you can add anyone like arew, brat ok, dreiven etc.
I guess european would win that but my heart is america since I live here.
For the liquibition, F91 is just insane, maybe ret could win against him, let see who is the next opponent.

I donot think sea can take F91 easily, F91 is S-class too, at least the first 10mins of every games. He used to 1-0 Nada, 1-2 Sork, 1-2 Kal, tbh, Sea[shaied] would lose some games to F91 too in a Bo7 games, 1or 2 games is just so not hard for F91to win .
its hard not to be spoiled when the last 3 videos are only 6 bytes.
Yea wtf is up with uTorrent showing me the size of each folder before the download starts? Why on earth would I want to know the size of each folder??? ><

Sea would rape F91 so easy it wouldnt even be funny to watch...
Just get some other good foreigner to play him, i think Ret does have a chance.
When every other foreigner fails just send PJ,Lx or Super
I remember Sea playing Cloud and Iefnaij, it was as imba as if I was playing Mondragon. I swear that you wouldn't like to see that. Pure loss of time.
Sea was so comfortable that he pushed with a combined metal/mm army to kill Cloud. Never seen that in my life.
cloud vs sea sea actually said he wasnt playing around that the strat he used actually worked against good players. Also sea was caught pretty off guard by cloud's carriers.

Didn't look like there was even a slight milisecond of lag in the game. Of course, I think the connection between China and Korea is fine. If you haven't watched the series, go watch it!

i guess the lag is not a issue here, besides it's just a game with 1a2a3a, no mirco at all ! KOS build his units and wait at home, F91 build his units then went on rape KOS, and over 4 times.

From the chinese BNET attack show , F91 admitted that he always lose to Jaystar , they also mentioned that Super beats him often in tournaments and F91 said that super's style counters his very well. F91 also mentioned that he can't beat PJ... so there's 3 candidates right there.

I've mentioned this after every Liquibition with F91 so far but ... GET RET! Those are all good candidates, so are (at least skill-wise, not sure about willingness-wise) Draco, White-Ra, Dreiven, Mondragon, Brat, and other European players I can't remember right now or look up because I'm in class.
