The sound / stream issues that plagued the NASL finals set it a tier lower than the other events, so it was basically a toss-up between Cbus and Dreamhack. I think MLG delivered a smashing good performance to make up for Dallas, it really was an excellent tournament all-around, so my vote goes to them.
This guy mirrors my thoughts absolutely perfectly.

are you serious? i got an autograph/picture from day 9 and sen, i sat right next to white ra and select at the hon booth. it was so player friendly at nasl

I'm surprised I'm in the minority, I went with Dreamhack. Overall, with the production value and match quality I thought it beat the other two.
|
MLG for the production quality, nasl sucked up until semfinals, then it really started getting good. Didn't expect finals to be more epic than sen vs mc
|
not even close its MLG Cbus :D

Dreamhack had the production value, the game quality, and the storyline(Huk!). I'm really surprised it's in last place, but I imagine it's mainly because NASL just finished so the hype is still high. IMO the only thing NASL had going for it were the semi finals and finals games. It's a good thing for them that a lot of SC2 fans have short memories apparently.

poll is vague, though. NASL had some great great games, but production wasnt that great.

Wow. 33% voting NASL aren't all trolls? Come on, you couldn't have followed MLG/DH if you think NASL had them. NASL had higher budget for everything, which wasn't used as well as smaller ones were in DH/MLG. I'd vote NASL as 3rd even if it was as good as others, considering what it could've been.
|
umm NASL then MLG, are y'all trolling me. DH had best production value started on time everytime! and streamed all its games, that's alot of games! I feel like it's just a Tasteosis effect.
Seriously a tournament that has its finals in a concert hall is below tournaments that happen in convention centers?

I voted NASL, because while the production was terrible, that finals was so insane. I'm EU, so was in bed when it came on, absolutely exhausted. I edned up sat up on the edge of my bed around the mid-point of Game 2. I've never been so tense over a series than I have with that. That's why it got my vote.

Overall : Dreamhack
Best Experience: Homestory Cup
Best Games: NASL
Poll is too vague as someone else mentioned.

NASL Finals were great but could've been better, MLG Columbus for me.
|
NASL's games were good, but there was way too much waiting between games and they posted the wrong time schedules which screwed over a lot of people.
|
what about Home Story Cup? That would be my pick..
|
Dreamhack had the best production imo.

Columbus, easily.
NASL had the best finals, but it's terrible first day and all weekend long audio problems ruled it out as the top choice. Columbus' crowd, constant games, low amount of filler, and the use of the casters made it the best. Dreamhack was good, but the crowd was really only used for the final.

where is homestory cup 3?

You also have to look at the open bracket for MLG. The fact that there is still highly competitive professional Starcraft play while us nooblets can buy a pass and compete at the same event is amazing. Then because all the competitors were there playing Starcraft, they're even more amped to be spectators. Great production quality and everything from the fellas at MLG.
But this is not a detraction from NASL or dreamhack. Both still ended up being fantastic events in their own rights as well.

dang my memory is so horrid only thing I do remember is that MLG had me ready to purchase ticket for next one. The dual streams and getting to choose who to watch was just way to awesome...
NASL finals though was pretty amazing. I don't play P or T and generally don't even watch to many non z games. But even I was pumped up in my house for MC coming back.
