It really looks like your port does justice to the original, nicely done. It's especially nice to see a map that's not perfectly mirrored--clearly there's no harm in that, it worked in SC1.
The texturing looks good, but I suppose I'll pass the advice baton and suggest perhaps a handful of more doodads. Also, I'm curious, is that floating platform in the bottom right pathable? If you would like somebody to play test with, send me a pm.

awesome. rush hour was my favorite map back in the day

The floating platform is not walkable and is solely for decoration. I kind of skimped on doodads a bit here, because it was hard finding ones that fit the terrain, and since it's Starcraft 2 and not brood war, I can't figure out which ones are walkable and which ones are buildable yet without testing. I will be adding more in later versions.

That is an amazing example of mapping, although i wish somebody would port Plasma. Do you plan on modifying it by adding features that were unavailable in sc1 such as watch towers?
|
I generally don't feel like doing that for ports. I did think about it for Rush Hour, but really, because the 3 O clock is so different from the rest of the positions, it's hard to do watch towers that are balanced and destructible rocks don't fit well in here.

I think it is a nice change to not just put watch towers in the map just because you can. ^^'
Not that I hate watch towers or that they wouldn't fit on this exact map, but for example in TvT, watch towers play a very crucial role, so why not mix it up a bit in some maps?
I'd like to play a few games and maybe more on this map, looks like a well done map-port to me - thumbs up!

This map looks HUGE! I never played it before, so I'm looking forward to it when it comes out.

Map isn't really that big. And it's already published. You can download it on b.net 2.0 in game.

Wish there were more maps like this in the selection pool and less cutesy maps like Scrap Station and Desert Oasis
