Not sure if EMP still drains their energy though while they are in that form. You better make sure you have Observers with you if you're at that stage of the game. beause Cloak +EMP + snipe= Dead HT's | ||

Phoenixes need stargate + 150/100 each while ghosts need ghost academy + 100/200 each, so if you manage to trade 1 phoenix for 1 ghost every time, it's slightly in your favor. Considering that without ghosts, a protoss army of the same cost could beat a terran army, it's probably in your favor to make that trade. Idk if it actually works in practice, but I think it might work theoretically. | ||

What has worked well against Ghosts, then? 1) Lots of Zealots/Stalkers: Forgo the heavy cost Robo units and pump out lots of Zealots and Stalkers (maybe DTs? haven't seen them used effectively yet) while getting upgrades with your extra income. Usually a Terran will only build Ghosts if they scout a Robo bay. So careful not to skip mid-game tech just because you think they are going Ghosts. 2) Collosuses: EMP only takes out 100 shields and Collosuses have 150 shields. As a Terran if I scout a Robo bay I will usually rush to Ghosts to prevent an Immortal timing push from destroying me. If you just build 2 Collosuses instead and I don't see it then I'm screwed. | ||
