Well I doubt you would have. You only focus on those EU comps. Iaguz is hardly a no name if you take the time to glance at the SEA scene.

Dont get me wrong, pig had some rly good moments in his series - but after all, he didnt win a map :/

Anyone can see that SEA people haven't made a big splash there yet, I'm talking about things like SEA qualifications, Pacific Nation wars, SEA tourneys and the like. It may seem too specific, but it's a whole region, and you often see iaguz right up there right behind mOOnGLaDe in terms of SEA success (well, there is Redarchon, that guy is a boss). Considering that international events only really let 1 person from SEA enter, it's why only GLaDe is known, as he usually wins these qualification events. That's why I like this event, it's the first major international event that has allowed 2 SEA people to enter. PiG however, he is a surprise packet. Don't get me wrong, he has been a good SEA player, but I never suspected he would qualify, let alone winning the SEA qualification. I didn't really expect him to win, but he did well regardless, and I look forward to seeing more of him. Go PiG!

The reason most people have only heard of Glade is cause we usually only get 1 spot in any tournament, when we even get any. Glade is pretty much unanimosly considered the best SEA player so it's no surprise he is the one that always qualifies. PiG managed to take Glade out in the qualifiers and Iaguz has taken games off him before as well.

I just wished they had an all-star list, like DreamHack or MLG or TSL does. But obviously, IEM is more than welcome to set up the tournament however they want And I'm not exactly able to watch the matches anyway, based on the times... The problem is that many "all stars" have tried qualifying and got beaten, so on the day of the qualifier they deserved their slot less than the players that are in China. Nothing we can do about that.
