The time has come for our fourth IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win. (Similar to IPL Team Arena, but without the teams!)
When: Sunday, Dec 11 1:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also have a European re-broadcast as usual at Sunday, Dec 11 5:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00))
The competitors of IPL Fight Club 4 are two titans of their respective races. Liquid`Sheth has earned the "First Blood" achievement by knocking off White-Ra in Fight Club 1 and began a streak with his victory over SlayerS`Ryung in Fight Club 2. In FC3, Sheth toppled the innovative RGN.KiWiKaKi by coming back from a 1-2 deficit to win 4 straight and take the series and the cash. Slayers`GanZi is looking to not only avenge his fallen Terran teammate, but to claim the $500 prize and cash in on Sheth's $300 bounty. Can GanZi stop the momentum of the Manner Zerg, or will Sheth continue his onslaught for another week?

gogo sheth! take another one!
btw IPL this is some sick stuff your doing! <3<3<3

He already took down Ryung ezpz. Sheth is the clear favorite

Will be interesting to see who wins.
Ganzi should be the favorite imo, but he was pretty sloppy against lucky and sheth went 2-3 against puma.
Happy to see lots of slayers because of ipl
GanZi is a little too much for Sheth I think - hope to see good games
Ganzi is pretty good, but I think the manner bear can do it.
Ganzi can't lose TvZ. I feel sorry for Sheth
IPL needs to invite players from more teams, at this point it's starting to look like they're begging SlayerS to take their money. XD

Ganzi will need to win first, and that's not going to happen.
while sheth has been beasting lately, ganzi's just unstoppable.
Sheth may have beaten Ryung, but GanZi's TvZ is well above even Ryung's level. This will be hard, and Ryung should take it.
Should be a good series, go Sheth!

you mean Ganzi will take it =P
Ganzi is a TvZ specialist, while Ryung had been a TvT sniper that had benefited heavily from a Terran heavy GSL. It's not looking good for Sheth. He's got good ZvT, but Ganzi is just too strong for him.
I can see Ganzi being here on Fight Club for a long, long time.
if sheth wins i expect the next challanger to be forGG, then for him to go on a crazy run... gl sheth !
Sheth improved his ZvT a lot but this is GanZi...
He is best TvZ along with MMA/MVP.
gotta go with sheth.
*Puts on mugatu voice* "He's so hot right now."
Well Seth is quite good not gonna lie an toppling Ryung is quite a feat especially seeing as how well he's a Korean an even the worst of Koreans or well the lower class ones tend to be feared. Though Ganzi is one of the best Terrans in the world behind only MMA and MVP in my opinion so I can't see Sheth winning this one. It wont be like 5-0 but like maybe 5-2.
Ok, after being proven wrong and looking silly when Sheth bested Ryung in his 2nd appearance in IPL Fight Club, I still don't think Sheth has what it takes to beat Ganzi. Nice guys finish last, Sheth. Mark my words! PS: I still love TL very very much <3
Still believe in Sheth even though they're stacking the odds against him!
Schweeet My favorite korean right now! Ganzi is probably going to take this 4-1 maybe 4-2
This should be quite the match considering GanZi has pretty good TvZ. As Sheth has been performing well in the previous IPL FC matches, I hope that he will perform well once again and come away with a win.

My heart says Sheth.. but my brain says Ganzi..
I just don't know; Sheth looked really good against PuMa - he lost, but i felt he could have taken the games. Go go Sheth!
damn... when IPL sends out slayers they go on a huge run... in the IPL team arena they killed everybody... Ganzi could crush this event if he takes it seriously... Sheth could put up a struggle. If ganzi does not put 100%, sheth could win this
I don't know about this. Its probably gonna be cross server and terran is most affected by latency due to the need to micro marines and such. Sheth should win.

What? Ganzi's TvZ is great, sure, but his other two matchups are much weaker, don't write him off as killing everyone before he's even won one series. It wouldn't be hard for someone like Gatored, sase, mana, or hasuobs to give him a run for his money IMO. Or any of the other decent foreign toss
GanZi has pretty good TvZ if I remember correctly, I believe 5-1 to him.

Sheth's gonna take this once more
I don't know why people are making it such a big deal that he beat Ryung. Ryung is terrible in anything but TvT. Ganzi should win this relatively easily.

IPL doesn't like sheth

Gotta cheer for sheth for sure! Good luck.

The nature of KOTH is to try and knock the king off the hill. Good luck doing that with anything less than Koreans considering Sheth's amazing form lately.

Gonna be cheering for Sheth.
With the play he's been showing recently, noone but the best can knock him down.

Cheering for Sheth ofc, but the competition reaches a new level with Ganzi.

Can IPL invite koreans from other teams? the favortism that IPL shows to Slayers is a bit too much. It almost seems Slayers has some kind of hold over IPL' s management.

Ganzi for TvZ? Oouohhh, thats stepping it up a notch for Sheth. GL to him!

Sheth almost beat Puma, but Ganzi is so good TvZ, on another level. He should win in most cases, especially in such a long series (BO9).
I hope Sheth does well, though.

For all you know they may have invited other teams and they just didn't want to participate. Or maybe SlayerS is better at communicating with IPL in a timely fashion.

Sheth fighting! You can do it, you beat Ryung and had such good games against Puma! Practice hard and defeat Ganzi!

Agreed with this. SlayerS is the last team that needs money/exposure. If you have to invite Koreans get some guys from NsHoseo or Zenex. Quite frankly, high level Koreans shouldn't be invited to this at all. In a Bo9 they'll never be displaced from their perch except by an even stronger Korean, effectively displacing foreigner participation in Fight Club.
I think Ganzi will take this. TvZ is probably his best matchup. Unlike Ryung, who plays scared against zerg, faking attacks and always retreating, Ganzi plays very aggressive, which is how terrans should play.

We invite the best players we can get in touch with. GanZi is an amazing player and accepted our invitation, that's all there is to it. As far as we're concerned, Sheth or GanZi or any other player could win 100 weeks in a row and we'd be fine with it, because it shows that that player is worthy of being there each week! It also builds suspense when a player does get close to toppling a powerhouse, and is even more satisfying when it finally happens. Don't forget that there is a BOUNTY element to this as well. If someone wins 10 weeks straight, the person that knocks them off will earn $1,500 just for a bo9. Pretty good motivation for anyone, in my opinion!

No one should be disappointed that IPL are bringing the best possible players. They should be commended for it. I want to see the highest level games.
With Sheth being my top 3 favorite zerg and Ganzi being my favorite terran, I am torn completely. I'm going to have to give the edge to Ganzi, but I'd be surprised if Ganzi has Sheth dominated.
Ganzi 5-2 Sheth.
I just feel Ganzi is too solid for Sheth's playstyle. Sheth relies on outplaying his opponent straightup in ZvT, and its definitely quite hard to outplay one of the best TvZ player period.

Sounds like NASL to me if there are no high level Koreans, and because of it, viewership was much lower in Season 2. Second, IPL Fight Club is trying to become a premier KOTH tournament, and it will not do so by excluding high level players. Guys like Sheth and Ganzi bring in viewers for IPL.
There are some foreigners that can compete with the best koreans but these players are all very busy in tournaments, I don't know if they'd have time to play in this. Either way there's no point in excluding koreans from it: sure you'll lose some viewers if it became korean-dominated, but I think the majority would watch regardless.
They've finally found a suitable opponent.. Maybe too much so. I predict that sheth with be swept or close to it 5-0 or 5-1.... 5-2 is being generous to sheth imo . Nah but anything "could" happen so... should be some nice games. This is by far sheth's biggest challenge in this event. If ever he were to hold the title I and many others will be shocked ;o.
i think it will be close because TvZ is tough with lag
Hopefully Sheths cold won't affect his play too much so he can show us some good games
Ooo... Ganzi has good TvZ and that's Sheth's weakest matchup if I'm not mistaken. It's going to be difficult for Sheth. :O
The bad thing is that Ryung has already played Sheth in a TvZ and Ganzi will certainly benefit from the information / replays.
I don't know how IPL picks players for this, but it seems kind of unfair to pick a teammate of a player whom Sheth beat recently in the same matchup.

You speak as if the outcome is predetermined, as if upsets don't happen. Most people thought Ryung would beat Sheth when they met. We know the outcome of that. Koreans aren't untouchable and this gives foreigners a chance to prove themselves.
If you separate high level Koreans from the rest of the field, how do you expect the field to improve? It's as if the people who've made a name for themselves are being punished for being too good. You make a name for yourself by making deep runs in tournaments. And then being invited to tourneys is the culmination of that hard work. Look at NSH_Jjakji, you can be sure he's made a name for himself and his team.
And why SlayerS instead of another team? Probably for viewers from the large fanbase. I'd imagine IPL would like to sustain themselves somehow.
I'd say Ganzi but Sheth will probably make me look like an idiot. xD. He's just doing so well these days.

Not sure if Ganzi is really tired from playing at 1:45 am, or really hammered from a night of drinking with the Emperor. Uncharacteristic sloppy play all three games.

The banshee comes out much faster and I think medivac helion drops that are coming really fast have much more potential to do damage than trying to get your helions through the front. You can also micro the medivacs and just really retain your helions.

Ganzi always plays so sloppy. He's a good player, but whenever he wins its really unclean. Luckily he's got good macro and he's got a good overall idea on how to play TvZ.

We could be seeing Ganzi against the world for the next several weeks. Ganzi is quite beatable. Yeah they said they invited MC in a previous cast so if he accepted he is an example of someone who would beat Ganzi. Or even a foreigner with a slightly stronger vT than Sheth can take down Ganzi.
A zerg with equal ZvT as Sheth can take down Ganzi, evidence being the first two games when Sheth completely dominated Ganzi. Just because Ganzi manhandled Sheth these past few games doesn't mean that Sheth couldn't beat Ganzi if they played again.

Great defence, though allowing Sheth to enter was an unnecessary risk.

I feel like Sheth could have won there if he used that 175 gas he had to morphing 7 banelings. Then all those SCVs couldn't have done anything to stop the lings and roaches.

Why are the casters talking like Ganzi was ever ahead? The "allin" did enough damage to be able to transition into a macro game. Sheth was never behind.
Yeah I don't know what Painuser was talking about that game. Sheth was up in workers, up by like 50 supply, more income, more army. He didn't really have tech but Ganzi hardly did either.
Holy shit these guys don't have any idea how SC2 works. Painuser keeps talking about how Ganzi is ahead even though he's fucked. No wonder Painuser couldn't play this game at a high level.
Now the next game is on the Korean server
Ganzi had no medivacs out for a while so his tech wasn't that much better. Did he also have stim that game? It looked like he didn't.
I am sorry to say, I love IPL but these casters really need to work on analyzing the game situation.
I hope MC is the next player :DD
Wow, that last game was so action-packed. Congrats Ganzi, some sloppy play in the beginning but finally pulled through in the end. Ryung has been avenged!
pain user definitely has the ability to be a good caster.. he's pretty good analyzer, but he made some mistakes..
Sheth you almost had me believing after you won games 1 and 2. Oh well taking 3 games off Ganzi is still really good.
ggs yo. Definitely some really intense last few games for a while.
yeah, that was intense yo.

ganzi has either gotten worse or hes playing with massive latency

I can't say that I expected Sheth to win, even though I was hoping he would XD. Ganzi is a great player so good job to Sheth for taking 3 games off of him =). I'm excited to see who's up next. Hopefully another korean or someone with realllly good v. Terran hah

Maybe the lag made him decide it wasn't worth bothering microing and he just focused on macro?

sheth cheating on drones too much in this series seems like ganzi caught on after the first two games and punished him with strong timings

Can't stand the ultimate cheezer, Ganzi.....poop.

Not sure exactly which game was which though.

Sheth name on kr is motivation, so if you watch the vods, you can probably know without any problem
