The time has come for our first Losers Round 2 match of the IGN Pro League Team Arena Challenge!
When: Friday, Dec 16 1:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also have a European re-broadcast as usual at Friday, Dec 16 5:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00))
Format
This double-elimination tournament features 8 teams from around the world and is an All-Kill team format. This match is being played for Losers Round 2. The first team to defeat everyone on the opposing team's roster (5 wins, or a best of 9), will move on in the Losers Bracket, while the loser will drop out of the tournament completely. Keep in mind that this has a $10,000 prize pool, and only three teams will make it to the money!
Dignitas had an unfortunate series against SlayerS but rallied back with an All-Kill against Millenium! With proven players like SeleCT and Sjow, and newer players like BlinG and DreAm, they stand a fighting chance to take down anyone. coLMVP is an extremely potent partnership, featuring many top players in Korea and abroad. With seasoned veterans from coL and an array of skilled South Korean players at their disposal, coLMVP is certainly an imposing team. They have already defeated Team ReIGN and put up a very good fight against Quantic IM in this tournament. Here are their full rosters:

SeleCT fighting!! Go Dignitas!
colMVP could roll this if they bring the big guys but even then I still think colMVP will win this.
huARGHHH let's go coLMVP!

Catz all-kill yo!

There have been some crazy series this week, hope tonight continues that trend. Looking forward to it getting started in 2.5 hours!

If everything goes to plan dignitas will get rolled hard.
Best of luck to both teams!
BlinG's gonna spank some Koreans. If he can take a map from the real MVP, he can take a series from ColMVP
Bling all kill yo
But actually, Bling, Select, Sjow, Killer and Bischu are a sick fuckin line up.
If it was just Dignitas vs. Complexity, I think it would be a toss up...
But MVP > Dignitas IMO, so I'm guessing 5-2 in favor of coLMVP.
Apollo to all-kill. Calling it now.
Oh. My. Gosh. I'm so excited for this ^_^
Both great teams with great players. I hope it goes to game 9 like last night.
Cant wait! really want to see another all kill XD...
Here we go HYPE! should be some great games, or a 1 sided AK...I'm going for epic games!
Probably no DRG, even if it comes to ace match since he's in Blizzard Cup. Oh well, sC and Keen will own them all anyway.
I hope we see greate games from the lesser known players from each team.
I would be more excited about this series if DRG wasn't in the Blizzard Cup finals. <3 DRG
Killer is quite far ahead I don't see him losing this unless he gets seriously rolled in an upcoming fight
First game update anyone?
Killer > CatZ just through sheer macro.
well i don't expect to see drg/sc today. ;(
DRG and most of the Korean terrans prbly wont make a showing for colMVP, DRG is playing against MMA tom and im pretty sure theyd all be helping him train, just like how yesterday slayers played almost none of their terran players against mouz because they were helping MMA train to face MVP.
What a random attack by finale. I wonder if it was worth it.
Was something warped in there? Someone had to tell him about that pylon if nothing had been done with it so far...

Supply loss you say? 7 ultras no problem >.> Killer is looking very strong so far this series, if he survives this stalker push he'll win
edit: or he'll just get wrecked by mass blink stalkers due to being unable to group his units from the hatches =(
Go SeleCT!

Go SeleCT!
Fungals are so strong with the ultras. He just needed something else to go with them.
I fail to see how Finale held that with so few units, those FFs were amazing, wow
Select doing a pathetic all-in and gets stomped.

That actually looked like a scary build from SeleCT but Finale just held it so easily;
Need to watch the Polt replay a little more i guess
Games like these are good reminds of how a successful all-in requires skill, it's not mindless build order into a-move with your workers. Lots of micro and positioning involved.
Protosses do so well in the IPL team arena. Much better than in other tournaments.
Can someone tell me the up to date results as the ones in the OP aren't up to date?

why do you not pull scv when you only have 15 t.t and y u no bunker Dream >.> so greedy when a bunker would have won him the game =( gg Dignitas!

That is officially the worst play from a Korean Terran I've ever seen. WTF am I dream(XD)ing?
come on bischu end this !!
Foreigners really need to learn the game sense required for killing blows. There was no need for this tech to colossus or anything. A couple zealot warp-ins when Dream was on 1 base and Bischu could have ended this. -.-
Edit: Better safe than sorry of course. But it's just very apparent when you compare "game endings" between Koreans and foreigners. Reminds me of Bling vs Mvp at WCG (on Tal'Darim?).

This is one post condemning him for not killing Dream.
If he had lost, while representing his team in a $10k league due to attempting to finish a game while his opponent was allining, there would be over 9000.
Perspective is different from the one playing to the one observing.

This is something I notice too. But there are some games where they are just so far ahead where you can only get behind by waiting and I see it cost people games sometimes....

Very general statement, but I agree with you. For example, Haypro could have beaten MVP if he had counterattacked after crushing MVP's first major push in Game 3, but sat back and droned, and let MVP dictate the pace and direction of the game. Could we be seeing another foreigner upset today?
Edit: IPL, you really spoil us, first by hosting this awesome team tournament, and now talking about doubling the prize pool. This is why I love IPL so much.

Everyone please read this before condemning the way Bischu played that match out.

And like I said, better safe than sorry. Regardless, it's a tendency that's very apparent in foreign* play.
No need to unleash the hounds.

Bishu is a boss. New name is Bishu the Boss aka BB.
Wow, noblesse playing like a boss
wow. Noblesse played it perfectly to deal with the upgrade advantage Bischu had over him.
this is madness, MVP's young talent is so strong, nonetheless really ballsy drop play, confident that he'll do enough damage to mitigate the lost units
and Khaldor and Merz props today, nice
Those drops were relentless
Wow, great multi-tasking from Noblesse.
who's playing next I missed what they said?
"Thou Should Update Their Streamdescription Links!" still points to the slayers vs mouz thread;-)
nice work so far dignitas, palmed some faces there:-)
Dream is a student, i dont fancy his chances
Dignitas have a Chinese Protoss? Did not know... GO DIGNITAASSSSS
Incredible damage from those drops, even took out the council before Charge finished. Reminds me of Puma.
That wasn't Noblesse doing well, it was DreAm playing bad. Do these casters ever criticize a player?
That's an ex-code S Terran for you. Soooo good....

Noblesse played well...
Casters missed a few key things in that game, particularly the Twilight Council going down just before charge finished, that would have been an interesting moment to hype things up.
How can you have 0/0 upgrades -.-
Glad to see another good set of games from Bischu, he's really going places if he keeps it up.
This is getting painful to watch...
On December 16 2011 12:35 Itsmedudeman wrote: How can you have 0/0 upgrades -.-
Oh what? I was looking at Merz researching 1-0 for his tanks and was thinking that was reaaaaaally slow thinking Noblesse must've been 2-0 or 3-0 by then Never noticed.
I am 90% positive Noblesse could A-move here, his army is just so much stronger.
edit: or he could do that
saccing those scvs hurting him now
Too bad, Merz was ahead for quite a while
Wow i have never seen come back so many time just to continue losing it over and over
My god, Merz had so many bad engagements and decision making. If Noblesse simply got upgrades, he would've crushed Merz so much more quickly.
lol. that was kind of a boring tvt. merz shoulda did more drops with like 8 marines or something. there's no way bio can beat mech in a straight up fight.
Merz had a huge advantage there for a while.
Noblesse had some sloppy mistakes but still played overall better than Merz. GG

Honestly for Mech they aren't all that important. 1-0 is good so you 3 hit tanks insteand of 4 but the rest doesn't really change much tbh. Of course it's still better to do them then not to but still not that big of a deal.
I have no clue why Merz build so many Thors . Yes Noblesse had BC's but Thors are just not that good more then 2-3 is a mistake in my mind.
I loved the Reign Video, gj on your guys Win Earlier in the week!.
Love Gix
Bischu has gotten seriously gosu lately. I hope he gets to go to Korea at some point.
Heh, at this rate Bischu will end up taking the Protoss throne of Sweden.
Well, Dignitas no chance against coLMVP... agh, who am I fooling? Dignitas no chance against MVP! edit: not that I mind seeing my gsl heros in western team leagues!

Bischu has been looking really really good recently.
Couldn't watch, but I assume this was played a while ago? Bling has been playing well lately, beating some koreans, could have used him. Bischu is on rise though, Dignitas not lacking at all after Naniwa's departure.
As much as I'd love to see SeleCT all kill here since he's my second favorite player I highly doubt that will happen. Complexity 5-3 over Dignitas.
