I'm going to have to agree on the joint-team hating.
While it reduces the chances of a foreign team winning, at least we know what we're getting.
I'd rather watch coL vs TL in the loser's bracket and MVP vs IM in the winner's bracket, just because I know exactly what I'm getting with those matches (even with my foreigner bias!).

Dude so basically my theory is this: Sheth is a baller. Every day he's hustlin and balling and today he was like "I feel like obliterating a bunch of nerds" and haypro was like "hey man are you sure about that? that might not be fair" and Sheth was like "dude let me handle this"
and he did.

excited, cant wait to see how TL plays, LIQUID FIGHTING

Well, if the teams are partnered I do not see too much issue. The only problem with the series today was the fact that most of us were expecting MVP heavy-weights like sC, DRG, Genius, Keen, etc, and all we got were guys like gowser, Drewbie and Catz. No offense to the col players, but they are many levels below their MVP counterparts that is was just a letdown.
If Liquid and oGs ever meet up, that might be awkward...

I was expecting more MVP players to play near the end. Also i just hated the casting, had to mute. So overall didn't like this match.

I´m watching the rebroadcast for a while now and the casting is sub-par in my honest opionion. Oh well, just mute it.

What's up with this awful casting ? Sorry But that is just bad and makes the matchup alot less attractive. Grats to Liquid though !
|
i always knew HD was bad should fire him painuser with doa or cats is way better they dont need HD.. he just screams and seems so fake
|
Great game goswser vs Sheth! wow what an amazing back and forth ZvZ!
Nice to watch! that's how a zvz should be played when it comes to macro games and multitasking skills >_<
|
Gogo Sheth! Although i have to agree that the casting today was pretty bad... HD calling things that were just not happening, both of them not knowing how to pronounce Goswser (although to be fair it was spelled wrong in the overlay as well, derpderp) and both of them not knowing how Calm before the Storm was called! WTH, you're supposed to be proffesional casters, you should know the names of the maps at least!

I generally don't like caster bashing, but man, HD really has to step it up imo. I think his casting this series was just awful and I don't seem to be alone thinking that...

Sure, I agree that caster bashing should be avoided, because it most of the time comes down to personal taste BUT
you can quantify:
how often a caster misses stuff how often they get sidetracked how often they do not talk about what is happening on screen
Everything else, casting style, jokes, level of energie, excitement and whatever you might believe is important is entirely subjective, but I felt like that they hd and painuser were not in their best shape possible.

He needs to keep that beard. Not too much though, or EG will assimilate him into the team.

I'm not sure I understand this post. Complexity is a pure foreign team, they partner with MVP to form a similar situation as the other foreign teams who sign Koreans who stay in Korea, they just let MVP keep it's identity.
EG and Liquid aren't really, "foreign teams" considering that they both have full on Korean players. The only different to me is semantic.
I don't see any problem with letting Complexity and MVP use both their rosters, if people get disappointed by only seeing the Complexity members, so be it. The misleading argument doesn't really make sense to me, the disappointment would be no different than seeing larger Korean teams field their B-team.

That was some painful casting.

Thank you for getting them up on YT.
If I could make 2 suggestions.
Place the players names a bit lower down in the subscription so the winners aren't spoiled in the subscription box.
I like that you put a link up for the next video, could you use that same annotation to place a pause at the end of the current video, so the viewer can click it once the game over rather than earlier.

just a single win against half of a team.
lol kicking them when they're down.

EG and Liquid are both foreign teams. It doesn't matter how many koreans they have on their roster. As long as their HQ and focus remains outside of Korea they are definitly foreign teams.
