I think vile are very good but I don't think they quite have enough to deal with dignitas' terran duo also with bischu and killer waiting in the wings I think that dignitas should take it about 5-3 with illusion being able to take 2 and yong or state taking one more but then they'll send sjow/select to clean up.
After reading so many posts on reddit and TL about how there needs to be new foreigner blood, glad Vile is getting a lot of love. There just needs to be more chances for teams like Vile to make a splash like they did.
On February 03 2012 06:12 Samejima wrote: Select is gonna have to win 3+ games for dignitas to win this imo.
Sjow Bling and Bischu are also very capable of taking several games off Vile's roster. Both teams need to prevent killing sprees, where the other team is able to successively take out 3 or more players. Dignitas ultimately fell to San's 3 kill, while Gumiho's early spree put Vile in a hole against FXO that they could not climb out of.
......did I miss something? When did vile become so highly regarded that they are the favorite to win against Dignitas? Select, Sjow, Killer, Bischu, Bling is outstanding depth for a foreign team.
On February 03 2012 14:57 McFeser wrote: Why exactly do people think Vile is going to win? And IPL this is a great tournament so far.
Vile have been showing lots of talent recently. I don't think anyone expected them to win their qualifying tournament. They impressed even in their loss to FXO. Dignitas is obviously a great team but I would not be surprised if Vile pull out the upset.
On February 03 2012 14:51 RPR_Tempest wrote: Uh, why is Vile favored?
You don't really think Illusion is going to all-kill or something silly like that, do you?
Of course not, Illusion is probably the ace
Vile is the huge up-and-comer in this tournament. Before this tournament, many people would have considered Vile as just another NA clan, certainly not a top foreign team. But Vile surprised a lot of people just by qualifying for this tournament, and even though they lost to FXO, they shattered expectations nevertheless.
Apparently, a lot of people want to see Vile win. They are a team of dark horses, the next generation of NA's SC2 talent. I think Dignitas is favored, but I would love to see Vile win.
While guys like Sjow and Select are top foreigners, and Dignitas has strong protosses in Bischu and Bling, Vile still has a decent chance to win. In addition to Illusion, State, Chance, Ddoro and Yong are all players that could make a huge difference in this series. But I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to see.
Are you going to update the OP this time? If you aren't going to, can I make an "unofficial" OP with updated results? (this question is also addressed to mods/adminds/etc)

It would be awesome if he did play, since he has not been streaming. But why have him show some of his new game play if his teammates can take out their opponent first? :D
I hope Vile gaming wins this, I was really impressed by their game-play in their match against Zenex. But it felt like they threw won games away, probably have something to do with nerves, but if they play like they did before the mistakes then I think they have a chance to win this.
I think Vile can take this. Select and Sjow will be the hardest opponents to take down, but state, illusion, chance, and yong are all capable of taking them out. Im gonna guess a 5-3 or 5-4 in vile's favor. They came very very close to playing a game 9 with FXO, so this is definitely not a team to take lightly

PsY isn't really on their active roster, I think hes sorta like Apollo on dignitas. Spanishiwa though, Im not sure why vile doesn't ever use him in these online events. He had some really good showings at MLGs last year

LOL. I would love to see PsY in a team league game like this, but that's not gonna to happen anytime soon.

If we could use Spanishiwa we would, but as of right now, hes very busy with college life for the semester. So that doesnt leave too much time for playing Starcraft. He often streams but its hard to be competitive and still balance out a full semester of classes. Soon you will be seeing more of him :D
Gonna be a sick MU tbh... State and Illusion are on fire, so as long as someone can take out Select, State can wreak some major havoc. Problem is, with Bling, Bischu, and Killer for Dignitas, I don't think just select and state (maybe yong) will be enough... Predicting 5-3 Dignitas

Did well at Dallas and Anahiem. He also won the Texas Esports tourney last year, beating out lightBinksi, ColTrimaster, and ZpuX. He's sick good and a really really nice guy.
Not going to lie, I've seen Diamond players scout better than Hawk has in this game. Can't believe he didn't take the towers early on. Let that probe walk right over and cannon up his third, while he had 10 lings just sitting around.
EDIT: It's okay though, guys. He made Mutalisks. It's okay. Everything's going to be alright.

thats why startale sending bomber first, right?
The code A player? Yeah. They had Curious and Parting standing by.
People need to stop using code a and code s as the only fucking definition of skill in the korean scene, losira is now code B...lol? he must suck right? + Show Spoiler +
Bomber all killed NSHS
So he obviously is lacking in skill, hence why he's code A, come on give some respect where it's due.
As usual, OP is not updated with results [nor is liquipedia for that matter]. From reading thread, I know that Hawk beat bischu and merz, who was the third person Hawk beat?

I don't think that Bomber is the strongest player on StarTale, but he used the word "typically." You should probably read what other people write before making sarcastic remarks that don't really have any relevance. Thanks!

Bomber is not strongest player for you,but he is strongest for me.
Hawk had a handful of roaches just chilling in his nat while the big fight was going on right at his front door... He had a nice flank with roaches from his third, but I guess not quite good enough management

You still didn't read his post. People like you massively detract from LR threads. Stop being ridiculously argumentative especially when you're wrong (people DO usually save the best for last). Stop selectively reading (once again completely ignoring typically), generally stop being a bad poster. If you can't do that stop posting.
I have to commute home from work, can't always update as efficiently as I would like. I apologize. If someone would like to assist me by posting after each game concludes, it would be very appreciated.

This is quite back and forth, that natural really wasn't mining, I'm surprised seleCT was able to hold that, very good decision to pull back, but it's a shame state had his templars in the back or he probably could have won right there

Dignitas, is one of the most manner and gosu teams out there. We are usually a wild bunch, we tend to troll and joke around alot, but playing these games, Dignitas were right there with us sharing the same sense of humor and joking right along side us. We feel bad that theyre out of the tournament but i am now a fan of theirs. They are so awesome, thank you for some awesome games and best of luck with you guys. <3333 Dignitas :D
And thats why Vile was the favorite in the early vote. People need to really watch for Vile to do big things sooner than later. They have a very talented roster, its full of potential.

Hah, when I watched Dignitas vs Fnatic in the Nasl , I think I had more enjoyment reading the chat than the actual game. The banter between Select and Sjow in particular was freakin hilarious (I think in the Merz game) as they spent the whole game insulting each other.
Anyhow as huge Dignitas fan, I'm a bit bummed at the results. However, I'm super impressed with Vile after this showing. It's awesome to see hard work pay off.
GG vile!!!!! knew they could win this, great job from hawk and state to take the win. They get the loser of TSL v. Startale next, so thats gonna be a tough match to win, but hopefully they can keep the magic alive and upset one of the top korean teams.
On a side note, ipl, thank you so much for the TAC. Team leagues are so much more fun than individual leagues imo and im glad that you guys are showing that off. All the games are exciting and let some up and coming players/teams prove themselves against some of the more established players.
