While oGs by all logic should win mousesports just don't lose foreign team leagues therefore mouz shall win and I don't know how.
|
well, oGs doing historically bad in teamleagues. With their small but very skilled lineup, mouz can definately take this.
|
Hasu and Mana aren't playing their best in the last 2 month (especially against Zerg) and I don't know what to expect from Morrow. Because of that I don't see mouz winning here, but I hope they can make it.
|
Unfortunately the result has already been spoiled by Hasu when they were casting at Takes House.
|
Uhm, PM me results then if You can.

It's ok Thorzain will just all-kill

|
Super hyped for this, even though I don't think Mousesports can take it.
|
I would love to see Mouz take this. They are not favored in my opinion, but I think having beaten Slayers, col-MVP and all killing QIM last TAC, Mouz could definitely take the win over oGs.

Tuned in a bit late. Did Frank Fields make any official statement on Reign's disbandment?
|
Damn, Incontrol dropping some really inspirational stuff about overcoming losses and defeat.
|
Pretty poor quality to not mention Reign disbanding.

Well, that was a disappointing ending to game 1.

Mouz wont even win a game
oGs 5-0

mmh, why put Hasu against a Zerg?

Love IPL but is there anyone else who just can't stand CatsPJs casting sometimes?

Yes. He laughs at everything and generally just says what is happening on the screen.

Wow, just sat in that storm. All mutas weakened

more votes for mouz hahah)
|
T_T looks like one of my pvzs. lol
|
Slow, painful, death of any standard PvZ game on larger map. Even if he does kill JookTo's army, guess what? 40 mother fucking spines behind them.
|
|
What a crazy engagement there. Go Hasuobs!
|
Hasu needs a mothership. Broods are just so good. I hope mouz can pull this out.
|
Lol clutch mothership by hasu with jookto having no detection with his army. 14 ultra remax for jookto o:
|
Didnt expect Hasu to win on that map in those positions
|
Ultras sux in ZvP
|
|
|
God what a game! Come on Hasuobs!!!!
|
Wanna lose a game you had won? Remax on Ultras.
|
If protoss wins this i'm going to cry

mm that many ultras, with 1 overseer and just some fungals. Weird choice there. But such nice control from hasu.

Agreed, it would keep him on the defence instead of wandering around the creep

This is one of the best PvZs that I have ever seen. I wonder if Hasu can make a big stargate transition to win it.

Yeah, I wonder if he can hold out long enough though. You know its getting crazy lategame when you have feedback going down on queens.

hasu looking good with his over 2k gas

Thorzain, Morrow, Hasu mouz is the spoon-team

Once Hasu has enough voids and attacks, he will win.

One thing I've learned watching starcraft 2 for the past year is that there is always someone that thinks a game is stupid. Even in the gsl games where the recommended polls is almost 100 % YES!!!!! there is the one person going "meh that wasn't anything special."
|
Can you imagine DRG and Genius ever playing a game like this? I can't.
|
|
This has to be an early contender for game of the year. Full action for an hour, multiple archon toilets, lots of slick micro, CALVIN, BILL and a nearly mined out Terminus.

Carrier has arrived!

I'm not complaining about the archon toilet specifically, I just think this game is boring and the quality of play by both is kind of poor

Did JookTo kill a base while Hasu was teleported?
|
Jookto's out of gas, Hasu just needs to survive.
|
Jookto is not minning gas
|
Jookto doesnt have anymore gas income..
|
HasuObs just has less resources lost.
This game is very boring...
|
How is he going to make banelings when he's stuck on 4 gas?

Jookto should have just attacked his army, insta remax and finish it like 30 minutes ago when Hasuobs was on one mining base with 0 bank

Well I have to agree though to at least some extent...this should have been over once the Zerg decided to max with Ultras - that's just so incredibly bad. Hasu could have easily ended this quite some time ago.

As for Hasu, Thorzain would be proud.

This game would be over if Jookto had focused down that freaking nexus before the mothership popped. That mothership is the only reason Hasu is alive

I think that the only thing that has been seen less then carriers is there fleet beacon intercepter upgrade, hasu might as well get it

Jookto should have left the game earlier. Hasu didn't know how many units and how much money Jookto had, he couldn't scout, but Jookto saw Hasu's army because of the changlings.

Such a cool game. Really smart of Jookto to use all those minerals on queens, I'm surprised that I haven't seen that before. Zerglings and Spines have pretty negligible late game value, but queens brought him back into that.

Hasuobs had a great comeback in that game, but he let it drag out. But if you remember the beginning of the game (a long time ago), he was quite behind and the mutas had a "contain" on him. It was great to see him make the comeback.
|
If Jookto keeps staying at his defensive position would this be a draw in the end?
|
On February 17 2012 11:23 turamn wrote: how hardcore badass would luvsic be if he just six pooled this mother fucker after that
o0 better be grateful for these sort of games, instead of offending the players..
|
That was one of the most genuinely interesting starcraft 2 games I think has ever been played, as much as I dislike vortex, HasuObs played that brilliantly and so did JookTo with that infestor move. I love that Hasu either thought ahead of time that if he moved out he could recall back in his stalkers and bait JookTo into something other than a draw. Like I think he probably could have just rushed in when there was an 80 supply difference but he can't really tell that when you looked at the sheer amount of stuff JookTo had.
edit: I would dare to say that people who didn't enjoy that game as it was 'dragging on' probably weren't that into BW or worse, thought BW TvT was boring.

There were so many amazing moments in this game. That stall that led to the mothership, the amazing neural then vortex then feedback situation and tons of fucking carriers making their mark. I am so fucking pumped even though Hasu could have ended the game a little earlier; there is nothing wrong with being safe.

To be honest, they both played defensively while using small groups of units to try and do damage. I worry that this will be the retarded development of PvZ in the future. Attack = death, so let's wait.

What he can see is that there is no way that he is maxed, has no mining(at one point), and he can see his own supply at 200 and minerals/gas both well over 2k. Jookto had about 140-150 supply for ages. A progamer should be able to tell when there is 50 supply of units not being used and notice after 20 minutes that he isnt making anything else.

And even the final battle was STILL pretty epic. The recall, the feedbacks on the queens.
Oh! And that one bunch of fungles at the penultimate battle which killed like six carriers with help from the corrupters. Like seriously how was that NOT just a fucking SWEET game. We finally got to see what PvZ looks like when played out about as much humanly possible!
But as the casters was saying, the most epic moment was the EPIC hold at that base. That might be the most epic hold I've seen, edging out Naniwa vs Thorzain in TSL 3 where Naniwa forvefielded Thorzains ramp so thorzain airlifts his army peice by peice while microing against the assault.

I'm not remotely joking and your fake incredulation is just irritating. I state in the very line you're reacting to that I was talking about when it was dragging on, not before that. The situation that arose when zerg was behind but with well built up defence was heavily reminscent of split map TvT in BW where an obvious move can easily be dealt with so they were slowly trying to safely push each other around the map. It's not even a TvT specific thing, any BW matchup where there was a possibility of large scale map control resulted in these sort of fantastic situations where there's constant risk reward analysis and players really get to think about their possible options. I'm going with my initial comment on this one bub.

Not the place to hide a robo... especially when he scares the stalkers away to them.
It seems like he should just go for a forge to at least get a tie. It builds faster.

So is every game where someone stays a bit too long "fantasy gg timing" nowadays?
|
On February 17 2012 11:59 nihlon wrote: So is every game where someone stays a bit too long "fantasy gg timing" nowadays?
Fantasy GG is whenever a player has basically no chance of winning stays in the game. Hasuobs had no detection, no robo, no forge, and was revealed. That's basically an unwinnable situation.
|

On February 17 2012 11:59 nihlon wrote: So is every game where someone stays a bit too long "fantasy gg timing" nowadays?
Nope.
But that was fantasy gg timing because there was literally no way he could've won or forced a draw. He didn't have enough gas for robo AND observer. There was no way he can win, seriously. If that's not gg timing then I don't know what is.
EDIT: I take that back, he could've won if he built a forge and a cannon with his remaining ~300 minerals then Vines sent a single DT at a time then each stalker at once then each probe at once. As you can see, that's the only way, but no self-respecting pro would do that.

It's mixed results. Just because in some few cases a lesser known Korean can take out an established Foreigner, doesn't mean it's proof of lesser skilled Koreans > Top Notch foreigner. It's just certain situations the lesser known Korean can put up a better single game. After all, look what Thorzain did to QIM at finals of IPL TAC2. Took out at least 2 Code A level players, and a Code S former Terran as well.

This is a little extreme. Vines beating Thorzain in a bo1 doesn't instantly show that our best are worse than their mediocre. Not two days ago, TLO beat the best two players (along with one of their top zergs) of the second best team in Korea (based solely on the last GSTL). Certainly, on a consistent basis the Koreans are a bit ahead of foreigners but your implicit claim that their worse are leagues better than our best is silly and absurd.

Vines may not be in the GSL, but he was sent out in GSTL, so obviously the team has faith in his abilities. Besides, the games with Hasuobs (if Hasuobs had made an additional observer) and Thorzain were very close.

I strongly disagree that Vines is a standard of a B-teamer. He is by-far the strongest protoss in oGs after MC left. And most importantly, Vines is rank 1 GM on NA for FOREVER. You may say that's NA but he is also top 100 GM in KR server. Give vines some credit.

I went to sleep after Vines beat HasuObs. I'm suprised that Vines won all the games, because he only won against Hasu just because he took a huge risk and hoped that Hasu didn't build a second observer and counted on killing the first one.

Why do people think if a player isn't in the gsl they're a b teamer, that's just a dumb mentality. Often times some of the best players have just had unlucky draws in code a qualifiers or just haven't hit a big break. People would have been calling partig a b teamer a month ago, it's not like his skill level drastically increased In one months time, he just hit his big break. Same can be said for drg, he was mvps best player even before making it into code a.
|

Feel like oGs wanted to show that they don't only have Terrans. It's sad Luvsic and Jookto are still pretty average TT
