Like both teams, but I'm going to cheer for the underdogs Vile! They just might pull out the upset.
Shame no Illusion, but otherwise Vile's using three of their best players. Never heard of Domorin.

I think DdoRo will pull an upset, but pretty straight-forward victory for Empire otherwise.
I'm hoping State takes out Beastyqt and I'm hoping viOlet takes out Hawk.
I predict that Empire will win.
Empire most likely going to win.
4-0 for Empire. Would like to say something thats better for Vile, but I can't see anyone winning.
Who's Domorin? Anyways, 3-1 for Empire
oh sweet hawk is playing!
go vile!
Go go Vile! Hoping State can take the win against beastyqt!
does EGMC not have a Liquipedia O_O?
This is a bit early but I hope Idra/Incontrol casts the EG/Slayers game. O_o They just may be my favorite casting duo in SC2.
Nice, it's back!
Empire all the way, they're going to take this one easy.

I'm gonna say Vile's Protoss win, but Empire takes it in the ace.
4-0 Empire, DdoRo might be able to take out Kas with timings if Kas plays too greedy, but otherwise I can't see Vile taking a series.
demuslim is casting not sure who the other one is
Empire vs Vile Beastyqt < State
viOLet > Hawk
Kas> DdoRo
Happy > Domorin
Empire 3-Vile 1

We're happy to announce that Benjamin "DeMusliM" Baker & Isaac "Azael" Cummings-Bentley will be casting tonight. For those that aren't aware of Azael, he's a member of EG's WoW team and also plays quite a bit of StarCraft II.
A WoW player? why not just get TotalBiscuit >_>

Interesting, looking forward to hear his casting.
I'm also aboard on the 4-0 train, but I hope Vile gives up a good fight. Not too good tho. :p
AZAEL
THIS IS THE BESTEST THING EVER OF ALL TIME, BEST THING OF THE YEAR ALL YEARS
THIS WILL BE THE BEST FEW HOURS OF MY LIFE IF I DON'T DIE TO A HEART ATTACK FROM JOY IN THE MEANTIME
edit: slight overkill, but you get the idea. Azael is why I play a Warlock.
HOLY SHIT ITS AZAEL
The man himself who carried the Blizzcon 2010 cast! :D
Edit: Lol @ above!
ummmmmm State....is a progamer?... :\ missing everything
Ah, this banshee-thor TvP build by Beasty, always a treat to see.
I love it when Beasty does this build, I hope it works out.
Really cool comp' from Beasty.
I thought Beasty was gonna get rolled with all those templar, but alas, I'm happy to be wrong.
Lose Orb because of controversy...
Replace with WoW pro, Azael...
Win! Azael's casting is great so far, epic.
Well, that was fun. Poor State.
I have to agree, Azael's casting is really good, he better then some of the "pro" casters out there now. They need to keep him casting.
On March 28 2012 10:41 Ruscour wrote: I thought Beasty was gonna get rolled with all those templar, but alas, I'm happy to be wrong. The storms missed the marines almost completely.
With better storms Beasty would've been toast, since he didn't have the ghosts out yet either.

I also thought he was going to get owned but so glad that it worked out. Not only is beasty a fan favorite but that was just a cool build to watch unfold.

EG should let Azael cast this thing full-time and just stream WoW in the house all day.

Agreed, love that idea!

Yeah, that would be sick, Azael is one of the best all time wow players.
I had no idea who Azael was before this and TBH I still don't know much about him other than he plays wow - but I think his casting is really solid so far. Is there a place for us to read up on Azael's background or wow career?

Not in depth but shows achievements up until recently, http://www.myeg.net/my_profile/profile.php?user_id=32

Isaac “Azael” Cummings-Bentley is the foundation of the EG World of Warcraft team, and a staple of the WoW community. Having played World of Warcraft since the vanilla release, Azael has been competing in PvP both online and in LAN tournaments since the games introduction as an eSport. Azael has added many different accomplishments to his repertoire, including achieving Gladiator in every single season since Blizzard began offering the title. Similarly, Azael is also known for being a force at many different tournaments, claiming first at MLG San Diego ’08, Blizzard Tournament Realm Season 2 ’09, and more recently the Intel Extreme Masters World Championships in ’10. He, along with his teammates Cdew and Talbadar, secured first place at the North American Battle.net Invitational ’11 which granted them the ability to compete at BlizzCon for the Global Battle.net Invitational title in October 2011.
As a legend in the World of Warcraft community and a staple member of the Evil Geniuses WoW team, look for Azael to make waves wherever he descends, both in the Arenas and in the world.
This Azael guy is a great play by play guy, lets Demuslim analyse the game and offers a little but doesn't seem to say things that are blatantly wrong, and speaks well =) .
This is looking like a macrofest Game 3.
I'm having trouble viewing the embedded stream, is anyone else experiencing this?
Cloak Banshee, the direct counter to Fast Triple Nexus. GG And it gets spotted. Not GG. Well Played.
Production tab! I need to see to believe that DeMusliM said he had an armory.
Ah, this banshee-Thor build again...nice
I've got to say, I prefer Nada's version of this. He only does it on Daybreak/Cloud Kingdom, abusing the rocks to use up Thor energy allowing him to attack. This kind of build with no rocks seems like it would get owned by a flanks.
i think Azael is better than most of casters in scene, im really impressed with his cast.
Also he is definitely better than some GSL casters...
State's trademark hallucinated probes
I remember azael saying at one point that he was pretty high masters, but yeah hes a great caster!
3 hallucinated probes. State breaking the metagame.
state handling this so poorly.. double forge into templar would own this

You realize most of that probes was halluc LOL

From the little that I know of State's personality, he could just be trolling :p

While Violet is still the favorite, Ive seen some weird ZvZ's coming out of him. In fact, I think its safe to say that ZvZ is his worse match up because he just doesn't look as dominant.

A few DTs and he would have easily won that game. Too bad.

So something I just noticed about that Intel advert advertising their physics cards or whatever. Isn't that game they're showing Motorstorm?

On March 28 2012 11:21 Mairo wrote: A few DTs and he would have easily won that game. Too bad.
Sorry... what? I choose DT, you choose Raven. DT goes Cloak. CRITICAL HIT, IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE.
Is that your logic?
This is very sloppy play by Violet. He should have won way earlier, but he lost an overlord, stayed supply blocked, then wasted 5 banelings on a queen.
On March 28 2012 11:31 Bagration wrote: This is very sloppy play by Violet. He should have won, but he lost an overlord, stayed supply blocked, then wasted 5 banelings on a queen. When a pro player asks if the replay is bugged due to high resource count you know your macro is slipping.
Any decent aggression in the 2 minutes following the pool snipe would have resulted in a win I think. Or at least reduced Hawk to one base till he got speed and/or banes. Not sure what is happening. Violet is usually a very solid player.
That was a very odd game from both players

I obviously meant HTs. My bad.

I really wish they would keep the production tab on, it really helps viewers understand what is going on with the game.

Seems like this Azael guy is doing much more spot-on analysis than your usual "shoutcaster", pretty damn impressive for a wow-player.

I see this is going as expected for Empire; i couldn't really see them losing any of these matchups. State was probably their best opportunity. Nothing against Vile but Kas and violet are just a step up.

Great point as well. Being high masters + being as well spoken as Azael is, must help a ton in a situation like this one. And it really shows how much of a natural he is so far.

I didn't mean the wow-player as a derogatory remark at all, just highlighting the fact that he SC2 isn't his primary game but he still seems to make very good reads.
Of course if he is high masters, that helps a lot too.

I like Azael, he's a very good caster so far
Wish the games were a bit less one sided though.

Is there anyone who'd object to more Azael in MCSL? I'm wearing fanboy goggles, but I can't see why EG shouldn't keep him doing this.

Hi,
Scoots here folks. Azael is our new host for the duration of the season, so we are quite happy to hear you are all enjoying his casting! He will be paired up with various EG SC2 players thoughout the season and as usual djWHEAT and PainUser will cover the EG matchup each week.
Btw, EGMC 2-0 over MLG in the Split/PiP wars so far!
Kas just so dominant this series.
i mute 90% of all sc2 streams i watch because i can not stand most "modern" casting.
But i really like Demuslem casting. i hear this Azael guy first time and like him too so far. Not often you hear a caster call out a eco-cheese as what it is.
Azael is doing a superb job of casting this. Really enjoy his style. Impressed and find it hard to believe he's not casted SC2 before. Pro.
Azael is pretty awesome, yes :3 Looking forward to see more of him!

I have seen people post in this thread that Azael's background is in WoW but does that include casting? Its hard to believe EG had such a hidden gem in their roster. Very impressed by the standard of the cast tonight

He casted once at Blizzcon (for WoW) in a tricasting lineup, that's the only one I can remember.

Didnt know Azael before. But really liked his casting. He does know SC2 quite well and has a lot more game knowledge then some other casters.
Everyone works well with Demuslim though .

Don't take anything away from RoxKis! They are amazing eastern europe team themselves and probably even more underrated than vile.
Wow, that looked easy for Empire.
RoxKis just needs to sign a good terran (BratOK or Strelok?) and they would have a good lineup for teamleagues with Titan, Fraer, Slivko, Livezerg, etc.

yeah, casting was good. just needed the production tab more. wanted to see beastyqt's BO for the games 1 and 3.

They have a good lineup for teamleagues. Add Pomi and Abver. Don't need a terran.
They did good in NASTL, better than EG and Quantic. And fraer has just recently beasting it up. I hope they get more invites. (or chances to qualify)

Games : Kinda expected, empire takes teamleagues serious and it shows. Always the top lineup. Top EU team vs "up n coming" NA team, so I'd say theres nothing to be sad about for Vile, just that they've gone from nobody to playing fucking Empire, EG, Liquid etc in these leagues tell the story of their amazing improvemet.
Castign : Really impressed with the new guy! He seems to know what he is talking about which is (sadly lol) kinda rare now a days. I can't even begin to say how many facepalms I have done recently being a high master listening to gold lvl casters, so this was refreshing.GG's

No one complained about Vile not using Illusion, and it probably wouldn't have changed anything. All of Empire's terrans are beasts in TvT and viOlet's best matchup is ZvT, it's very likely that all of them would have been a bit too much to handle anyway.

Yeah, I think Beasty has said before that it's a really powerful composition, just that he hasn't found a way to get to it without immediately dying to a 2-base push if one comes.
