Tune in one hour from now for the Main Stage and Stream 2 streams! #IPL4 --- Well let's get this hype train rolling, even if it sucks to have so many games off stage. Time waits on no man though, fingers crossed if things go well IPL can continue to expand their stream scope in future events =) wtf? why aren't we seeing this game?

A lot of people say they only want to watch the best players compete, but I really don't understand that sentiment. If you were to ask a sports fan what games they would want to watch, those involving their favorite team or those with the best team, I can guarantee you that the vast majority would tell you they would rather watch their favorite team. This is the same in Starcraft 2. I want to watch my favorite players compete, and their skill level is only one factor that determines that. The most important factor for me in determining my favorite players is language and communication. If I can't ever hear a player speak except through translation (which is just not as natural and interesting) then I likely won't have a lot of interest in that player. Being able to hear a players thoughts on the game, and on life, is pivotal in the player - fan relationship. Their talents at playing Starcraft 2 is actually secondary if and only if language and communication is not an issue. To bring that all into perspective, it's probably not surprising that Polt is my favorite player in sc2 currently, and that is because he always makes an effort to speak english in his interviews and give interesting answers, on top of being a skilled and dedicated player. This board has a lot of foreigners on it, so its shouldn't be surprising that many people are disappointed that none of their favorite players are still in the tournament, and it shouldn't surprising that their favorite players are all westerners whom speak english, and it shouldn't be surprising that they want to watch their favorite players play rather than the best players. The crux of the issue is language and communication, as it is so often in life, not their nationality. I don't feel indifferent because they are Korean, I feel indifferent because I can't communicate easily with them.

I can fully understand that they probably don't have the manpower to show 4 streams with superb casters all the time, yet they have the players and matches that could fill even more than 4 streams. I for my part would have gladly paid for 4 streams at this event and not miss out on very epic open bracket matches or the other group stage matches right now. It don't even think its because of lack of money, but rather a lot of work to set up 4 streams with casters all the time, I hope they can improve for IPL5, because its an amazing tournament and airing more matches, especially showing those high-quality matches in the open bracket OR foreign hopes vs Koreans should be high up there. no bashing on IPL though, just my suggestion. Possibly they could even take 'online' casters not at the venue, that can just join and cast those open bracket games!

I'd take that before having casters any day of the week. I really can do without overhyping play-by-play casters.
