Just use the yes no meh.
Please.
STars are dumb and ugly and they were swapped out because people gave 5 or 1 star.
that was 1 argument. the other was that people vote yes when their favorite wins, no when their favorite loses
You can try all you want to get rid of the fanboy vote but you wont be able to. They'll still vote 5 for yes and 1 for no. Anything other than a simple Yes/No/Meh is dumb.

It's a bit demanding though, if the OP is also doing full LRs. But yeah, what seeker did was good. I just don't expect people to write a full paragraph per game.

Little observation: Suppy's lings went to aLive's expansion, mine killed the lings and 1 SCV making gas, aLive took forever to send another SCV to build the gas.

Maybe, he is legitimately trying to grind this game into an economic stand still. If he can sneak a base, he might still have a chance, or really good WM hits.

With the current supply difference, would it be a little late for aLive to win by attrition?

it's because he doesnt have to worry about splitting in the mid game anymore so he can get to the late game in a good position
Crud I didn't even realize how infestors made splitting bio such a hugenormous part of TvZ :O compared to how it is now
well alive was also pretty terrible at splitting vs banes in WoL but now he can hold position his marauders and run behind the widow mines to make up for that not being a strong suit for him

Alive is dead I think. But he might think Suppy has a Tefel factor in him or something.

With so many drops going around, I kind of prefer this method of just closing off Alive's chances and letting his semi-risky drop tactics starve Alive out instead.

Maybe, he is legitimately trying to grind this game into an economic stand still. If he can sneak a base, he might still have a chance, or really good WM hits.
With the current supply difference, would it be a little late for aLive to win by attrition?
Alive is dead I think. But he might think Suppy has a Tefel factor in him or something.
Hoping that Tefel has a Tefel factor worked for MVP?

With so many drops going around, I kind of prefer this method of just closing off Alive's chances and letting his semi-risky drop tactics starve Alive out instead.
It's different than what most zergs would do which is just straight up attacking. Suppy's playstyle is much more methodical and patient which I prefer as well.
Incredible game by both players. Suppy playing brilliantly and gaining a strong lead, but Alive just hanging on in there and doing everything he could to turn the game back in his favour.

Mvp changed the meta of the terran vs tefel match-up
Sorry Shellshock, but if I'm too lazy just to read through that entire second poll, so are other people. It sounds lazy and stupid, but unfortunately that's the reality. Now, that's not to say not sufficient people will vote for it to be worth it, but I don't think it's necessary. That's my feedback (this isn't meant to sound mean if it does)

Pretty much. Most people just look at my predictions when I write and just skim/skip the article unless I'm writing from the book of Major.

Well suppy looks pretty dead now for sure :X
These days that's considered bad defense. Good defense is killing the Reapers while losing 0 Drones... Actually that's the standard because Zergs should be used to this by now, Terrans have been doing this since the HotS beta. D:

Nope. He should have targetted the buildingscv's for CC and depots and poked the mining scvs but not engage them. If u dont have depots...no marines.

He shouldn't have pulled (that many) drones. Blocking the wall is nice but not necessary. If anything, it forced aLive to start his barracks with his initial 150 minerals next to his CC, which would have been a faster rax than if he had started it on the wall, but had to start a 2nd next to the CC and cancel the one at front. aLive put his depot on the wrong side - if it was to the left, the rax on the right can be reinforced by an ebay or 2nd rax behind it that will finish the wall (see: Suppy vs Polt in MLG). However, because aLive's depot was to the right, that meant that the rax was in the more open side of the wall, which would require more than a 2nd rax to wall behind, which means the wall would be open when the rax would inevitably fall to lings (lings can take down a rax before it finishes).
So if Suppy had kept more drones at home instead of pulling them to delay the rax, aLive would have a slower marine coming out, and Suppy would have more lings and would have still breached the wall. Eventually, you reach a critical mass of lings (10+) where an scv surround no longer matters.

Yea. Suppy's control was quite subpar. I think any Korean Zerg would have won with the 6 pool then and there.
a 6pool can be held with cc on lowground easier then everything on ramp without a walloff, because it gives more time. Yes, bad execution, he was so close

Ya... isn't 6-pool versus CC first supposed to be able to cancel the CC even?
Depends on the map distance/how many times the scv is sniped/forced to pull off and reposition. I had a game on Bel'shir Vestige where my CC was canceled at 99% build progress
Could this be one of the more polarizing polls so far?
It's basically 6 for yes and 5 for no.
But don't we usually see a bit more of 2-4 stars in there as well?
4 and 2 are dumb. What does 4 mean? Barely above meh but not really recommended to watch? 2 is barely below meh but maybe you'll like it?
I think the reason we stopped using the stars was because the more popular polls basically ended up with 2 and 4 being unused. It basically became Yes/Meh/No with stars instead of words.
Suppy only has himself to blame, he had an BO win but screwed up the execution. Major was actually correct in his suggestion, Suppy was the one who screwed up.

Back and forth and back and forth. Seeker did like reviews for a while, and that was all nice. There were some LR threads where the OP just wrote a line or two on whether or not a game was recommended and why. The yes/No/Maybe has been most popular afaik. It's simple and it works.

It's a BO win.
Its not a bo win if the rax gets planted in time. After that terran wins the game. Long discussion in helpmethread.. Polt showed howto do it with an extra ebay behind the rax for peeps with less mcro.
Alive wrecked Sage with his first push. Sage was going for a huge all-in with archons and collosi but got caught teching too hard on 2 base.
Watch VOD. If it was a huge all-in why did Sage have a third on the way?
He started the third after he lost his collosi. Going for fast collosi, +1 weapons, charge, and fast templar on two base is pretty all-iny. I don't see much of a reason to get all of that tech that fast unless you want to go for a heavy attack. If he was going for the long game, he should have replaced the templar archives with another forge and gotten +1 armor.

Still a pretty potent allin, and I like his transition, that WP with a Dark Shrine coming up is going to pin back Alive even more, let Sage get up his additional infrastructure. Smart play

TvT and TvZ have always been the best matchups in SC2. Either way is good for the viewer.

Quietly impressed that Sage and Yugioh are staying relevant while on Root too. Too often Kr players join a foreign team and coast, but the boys over at Root must be doing something right with them.

I always see polt make one viking to clear out the overlords. Suppy had like 8 overlords across the map. That was how he was able to outmaneuver and send in the roaches. Wonder why more terrans dont make a viking.

I like doing this in TvZ. It's seriously one of the most cost efficient decisions a terran can make mid-game. Clearing out overlords reduces map vision, makes drops more effectives, and costs the zerg extra larva and minerals.

Same reason we don't ever see just 6 Mutas by Zergs to keep just drops cleared up or Protoss using warp prisms vs Terran to protect their Templar from Ghosts. They're another full set of Multi-task action that requires being sold in all of the rest of your game.

A way to tell good casters from bad ones is whether commonly used phrases make sense. Say we have LG-IM MVP vs Nestea. Proleague EG and the rest of EG might as well be 2 different teams in all seriousness. I guess it's a storyline to try and build on but...
It's almost like we have EG AM, EG EU, and EG KR.... wait a second.
Are ThorZaIN and DeMusliM EG EU or EG AM?
Demuslim EG AM. Naniwa and sortof is EG EU. And Thorzain is sortOfEG.EU
Exactly what I was thinking.
EDIT: Suppy going infestation pit right away. I really like this and hope this is an avenue that some Zergs can use to defeat Innovation (whenever that's going to happen).
EDIT 2: It seems Suppy has a massive advantage here. It would be a shame if he lost this.

I think Innovation is strong enough to kill a Zerg that goes infestation that early.

What I'm trying to say (and didn't convey it correctly) is that I don't think people can kill Innovation with ling-bling-muta. His control is too good and you have to tech higher (either infestors, ultras, or vipers) to beat him. I have no idea if it would work, he's simply ridiculous right now.
aLive gave Suppy too much time to recuperate and build towards a monstrous Hive-tech army which would inevitably overwhelm Bio/Mine with meager air support.

Yeah, I don't think he can kill that. That's a buzzsaw.
EDIT: Yeah, the supply...
His scramble evened it to within 30, but too many drones lost.
I think he's okay, he's handling his economy much better right now. I wish Suppy would burrow a bane or two near aLive's natural, he might be able to catch a game changing break.

It's not really a hype train. Hes a fan favorite. I don't think hes as good as people rate him but for a full-time college student, I think hes done quite well. He did 3-2 parting at the world championship after all.

Revival and Hero.
Maybe it's because they have like half of the players in this tournament, but EG-TL does a lot of team killing in WCS AM
EG and TL are one of the last remaining teams that have both the resources and the will to send their players en masse all around the world. That's why EG-TL are racking up so many WCS points, even though they are far from the best team in the world.
It's one of the problems of the WCS system. It doesn't necessarily reward the best players, but the players who can travel the most. For example, Revival is currently #6 in WCS points worldwide, but no sane person would consider Revival a top 10 player worldwide.
It's not a big problem, but it does raise some issues. The players at the very top (the Soulkeys, the Innovations), should not have problems staying at the top, but the next tier of players (IE Jangbi, Trap, etc) will have problems because their only way of getting points is WCS KR.
The good thing is that it puts pressure on Kespa to allow their players to play in more international tournaments though, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion.
Ugh, aLive might be my most disliked player in all of SC2. Slow, boring, "faceless Korean" terran play. I can't wish any harder for any player to lose more.

That having been said, uh, grats I guess.
Yea because Suppy's play style is just enthralling ...
