whats the ratio of dogecoins to esports dollahs?
best of 7 with ace... better format than SPL 2014 lol
Oh wow, the prizepool has grown tenfold from its original! I almost regret it, it would've been funny to see the teams play for $4.47 xD
this sounds shady i dont think root or clarity could come up with this prizepool who is sponsoring this
im just really sceptical cuz of the quantic hyun thing

If you read the OP or clicked the website you would see that it started off as 10k dogecoins given by the tournament creator. The rest were donated mostly from the sc2 and dogecoin subreddit.. There is absolutely nothing shady about this, at all.

While I appreciate your concern, let them wash away. You can see all the coins safely stored on the blockchain here: http://dogechain.info/address/D5fFGWRiDyGNHhDq6iWCQKCaHeMfExYCam if you want to track where the coins came from, it's not an issue, again, the blockchain is public. I put in 10k initially, and then it's been donations from there (including a donation from the creator of dogecoin himself!) .
As far as organization and shady-ness. I've organized the entirety of SC2CTL, which was put on by DAS Keyboard. We paid out our keyboard prizes and custom crayon trophy and all the gimme goods to the people who participated, it was a great season. I think you have lots of reason to trust this, and most importantly let loose.
However, if you enjoy having a metre stick stuck up your butt, I won't hold it against you; the bedroom can be a weird place full of weird pleasures.

This showmatch is very new style and so fresh idea. obviously we can't trust you right off the bat.
No but seriously, GLHF to all the players and I still love the concept of a dogecoin. It's sticking it to the cyrptocurrency fools who are trying to stick it to the man who are trying to stick it to people like people using dogecoins. It's finally a cycle.

Catz is going to be having some fun with the new recruits
oh shit i thought they actually meant the player seed lol
I thought dogecoins was a joke like esports dollars...
For anyone curious, it is 0.00000056 DOGE/BTC and the current prizepool is 0.14852376 Bitcoins, or 115USD.
$125 worth now. Not bad for two academy teams, will probably increase over the next week too.
i will donate doge . . but whos playing
We've had an influx of donations over night. We're over 800k doges which is valued at approximately $270 USD.

It's Clarity vs ROOT SEED. Lineups will be coming in the next couple days as they're worked out, but it will be the majority of both teams playing.

Yes it is, just google the reddit for it. I was able to start mining through their guides.

So is there any actual prize for the winning team? Or is this a "just for fun/ bragging rights" match?

I see. Okay then. Good luck to both teams!

Big shout out to everyone for supporting the prize pool, hope you all tune in for our live broadcast from da mooooonn
Less than 48 hours left until the showmatch goes live! Extra interesting now considering that saroVati is in WCS!
They should do/have done it so it was all matches guaranteed to be played, and the prize pool gets split by performance, e.g. best of 7, each match is for 1/7th of the prize pool, so if you win 7-0 you get it all, if it's 4-3 you only get 58% of the prize pool. Then you are guaranteed to see all games and an ace match, and every game still has meaning.

What's the value of 1 doge coin?

Good luck to both teams! the winning team should probably hurry up and exchange them as long as they are still worth something, or as long as the dollar is still worth anything. dat economic system. should be a fun match though.
