That was a pretty awesome game, reminded me a lot of Flash vs Life at the beginning of HotS with the roach hydra viper comp and the mass yoinking of the medivacs, wp by Xeno tho
Xeno is really confusing me. On one day he 2-0es Hyun, on another he loses to Catz or Revolver. Really one of the players, whose results almost always surprise me, in both positive and negative ways.

In his top shape (and in a non-TvT MU) yes. But he is not that consistent yet, if he could add consistency, he could be great.

I think consistency is the last thing you get as a pro gamer. It only comes with large amounts of experience.

unproven players aren't good because they aren't proven because they aren't good because they aren't proven because they...
Harstem's performance in the first game was not very impressive. TLO seemed afraid of allins, which I guess is why he did that aggressive hatchery, but I think he would be favoured in any games more standard.

Probably. I thought that if TLO would have gotten down just one spine he would have won, Harstem's main would have been wide open. It was a very cool map game by all standards! Sick hold by Harstem for sure!

Not right now they aren't. Kane's results lately have been better than either of those two. If we're talking historically, Scarlett is miles ahead of everyone else.

what results do you mean in particular?
Beating better players mostly. I'm not terribly interested in tournament wins, I care more about beating high level opponents in any setting. His runs in Shoutcraft, the Ender's game/MLG thingy were good too.
His play just looks really solid and polished right now. I think he will beat almost everyone except Major and JD in this tournament.

I think it was Bly.
I meant more like if it was stacked with Koreans or not. Winning an EU event full of foreigners and winning an NA event full of foreigners is more or less the same imo. It all comes down to how you do against the heavyweights. Nerchio can definitely hang with them, but I don't think anyone has anything on Stephano when it comes to taking on top tier opponents and doing well.
I think Kane and Snute have the best form atm, and for me Kane has shown a huge increase in skill in 2014.
Edit: I have this sinking feeling JD might very well lose this. His ZvT in 2014 has been...questionable to put it politely.

There's no need to tell that to me of all people. I'm just saying, the player roster at the 2010 Winter event was significantly worse than the 2012 Bucharest one.

The official tournament server is EU, so if Happy wants to play on EU, EU gets played. The connection from eastern Europe to NA is quite bad as well, I remember NightEnD saying, that NA-Korea is far better than NA-Romania.

As far as i know the default server is EU. However if both players agree the match can be played on US. Maybe Happy said "no" or JD didn't asked.

DH wins are very hard to quantify, some of them could be GSL playoffs, others are basically a get-together of local GM players. You really have to look at who participated to see what the win actually means imo.

Well among the top 2 most popular/used Internet service providers, one of them is very poor in every respect and the other is a lot better than what most places anywhere on the planet can offer (and for very cheap too). I happen to use the latter, so I don't have any internet issues and my latency is generally pretty good even cross-continent.

So why would anyone ever use the first one :S?
Because they are lazy and uneducated. Also because the ISPs are also phone service providers, so if your phone at home or at work belongs to one of the two, you'll probably get internet from the same company and they do offer some benefits for this. Admittedly one is still crap regardless and the other is better in every way. But hey there you go.
