Greetings from El Prat. Everything worked out and I shall be entering my plane in about 90 minutes. Air transport is just a marvel of our civilization, I can't believe that only an hour's journey from lovely, sunny and happy Barcelona, I will arrive in ... ehm, Germany.
Anyway, my smartphone decided that it has had enough with me taking silly pictures and thus my camera on it stopped working, meaning there won't be instant visuals, but I'll try to provide at least textual entertainment from the venue, if possible.
We are looking into swapping main stream groups since Stephano's plane cannot take off so he is stuck for the moment. Question is - did he bring a knife

Today is gonna be one of the hottest days in Germany this year so far and it's been sunny since like 6 AM, so at least you won't get shocked by the temperature.

I don't even like heat anyway, I just wanted to diss Germany
No, really, even though the heat isn't always pleasant, I generally feel somehow pleasant in Spain - I was never too bug on "feeling the atmosphere" and travelling around random cities, but Spain (notably the Med coast) is really reliable in creating good moods for me. I have been here a lot (I counted 12 visits so far), but I am definitely gonna do more. Germany, on the other hand, always felt mainly boring - my wife used to say (before we started to fly everywhere, so that it doesn't matter anymore) that Germany is just the country between us and interesting places Since then, I became a little more positive about it, particularly the northern coast is really awesome in places (Wattenmeer and Helgoland in particular), but seeing a random German village still makes me feel a subconcious repulsion sometimes (mostly fueled by all the hours I have spent hitchhiking in those places which looks exactly alike).

Well let's see how Krefeld fares in this respect.
Yeah, for the most populated country (and one of the most densely populated ones) in the EU, we have many amazing stretches of absolutely nothing.
OgamingTV does cover in French - Emil and ESLPoland in Polish. ZergTV and GGru in Russian.
Done, pm me or Aeromi if you know other streams etc we will be happy to add to ops and such. I did this with 0 information minus a pretty schedule i got hold of which didn't have streams in Xd

No, it is an on topic question - I want to know, whether the Zombie apocalypse starts in Germany now, so that we will see in the stream some version of the great British series, when the whole world turned into Zombies and only the Big Brother people in the house survived ... So we might see the only Terran fortress in the world in Take's house!

It wouldn't need a variety of units. Actually, it would have only one unit - The Zombie. Low life, low attack ... very slow ... could collect slowly minerals and gas ... But whenever it would be in direct contact with an enemy unit, it would turn the unit into a zombie as well ... And when it is killed, it would, after a small cooldown, be resurrected again ...
It would cast two spells, "Fear", when the enemy units could not move for a few seconds ... and "Clear Sky", after which enemy flying units in a certain radius would land and become ground units for a while.

note: this is a personal rant, if you dont care, dont read. its also not a criticism of hsc, i still love it
i am not really sure what i thought will be the advantage of going in person (alone on top of it), for simeone as antisocial as myself, but i guess not knowing and thus curiosity was the main reason. now i am kinda considering going to hotel to watch the stream while dioing other stuff...
the place is full of groups of poeple being essentially in a pub. i can go there, but it feels awkward to stand there alone and honestly just watching the buzz is outright creepy. so i sit in the theatre, which is quire equivalent to the stream (minus being able to do stuff on computer in the downtime).
now i think i should have probably picked a more traditional tourney for my live sc2 experience, with a crowd and such.
but at least i know and as the travel was free (i was around) its only for 130 euro, which is ok

i am not really sure what i thought will be the advantage of going in person (alone on top of it), for simeone as antisocial as myself, but i guess not knowing and thus curiosity was the main reason. now i am kinda considering going to hotel to watch the stream while dioing other stuff...
the place is full of groups of poeple being essentially in a pub. i can go there, but it feels awkward to stand there alone and honestly just watching the buzz is outright creepy. so i sit in the theatre, which is quire equivalent to the stream (minus being able to do stuff on computer in the downtime).
now i think i should have probably picked a more traditional tourney for my live sc2 experience, with a crowd and such.
but at least i know and as the travel was free (i was around) its only for 130 euro, which is ok

do you know someone in the italian scene?, only person i knew was vasacast AND cloud second coolest terrand next to naruto and Gooody (terrangod)
At its most active the italian scene had like 4 GMs (Cloud who was sort of retiring, Stareagle, Evaner and Jeal), and like 100 master players divided in about 8 clans. Not exactly the largest scene.

Reynor?
Reynor at the time was 12 and either diamond or master's league. This was in late 2012 and early 2013. I think he tried baneling busting me 5 times in two games in a series we played.

Was going to say that I hope both of these advance but I really want Snute to do well.

booze and lsd
Yeah.
Also France is 1 win, 4 losses in terms of sets already. Drogo confirmed savior of the French People.
So I tune into both streams and Frost is played on both, and my first thought was "Holy crap is this a rerun of HSC 9?" before I realized that that's an actual ladder map.

Well it's Stephano. He enjoyed laddering swarmhosts, he's not going to quit if Masa can't kill him

So now I feel little bit like a loser, but my whining was so well executed that it made me recognizable and made some people pity me enough to talk to me... I don't really know how to properly explain that this wasn't my plan from the start and that I wasn't expecting people present at the venue reading long LR rants ... so I am not gonna even try. However Pyloss and his swedish friend (sorry buddy, I am totally dumb with names, but Pyloss sent me a PM so I have his recorded ) are super cool!
My essential observation from the day is that between hardcore SC2 players, the biggest topic of conversation is who beat who at which tourney and the competitive scene runs much deeper than the couple of handful of pros in the spotlight. These people also really know their SC2 and that's another reason why I look like a loser, because while I watch way too much, I never remember any actual facts

Don't worry, I can relate to that. No need to feel bad about it.

Great that you found good guys :-) I am sure, you will love it there ...
MaSa's TvZ doesn't look fully formed. It feels he's just doing things that seem kinda reasonable at the time instead of preparing things and knowing what to do at every stage of the game.
Uthermal needs to take a page out of Demuslim's book and just go full bald. You can't fight it at this point. Either wear a hat to cover it up or accept it.

Dont mean to bash and told him myself as well - this was a quite easy bracket and vs SoulKey 2-1 was good but nothing super amazing so... I simply dont get the Hype :S He is a nice guy and he improved to but I still dont get his ZvT.
Vs Bunny on Frost for example he did Transition intro macro but I didnt know why he did half-heartly ling/bane to begin with and put him at a disadvantage :X
I don't get why people can't enjoy anything but the highest level of play. I'm a huge football fan and I'll watch college, or high school, or professional. I don't ONLY watch the NFL. Take your analogy for any other sport or league of your choice.
I thought the day was fun. I ask myself:
1 - Are these players a world better than me? Yep. 2 - Is the event organized, well run, good communication? Yep. 3 - Good casters? Know the game? Yep.
If SC2 or eSports in general continue to grow then you'll have tiers of players. And if the games are only fun to watch when the best of the best are playing, that speaks more to the health of SC2 than the players.

Same here.
I think it's just a vocal minority that just happens to be very well represented on Team Liquid. There's a bit of a reputation of elitism here, after all. Not unexpected.

Many of the comments about today's level of play aren't expressing disappointment about how the players aren't the best of the best, but rather how well they played compared to their usual level. For example MaSa played much better at WCS Spring than he played today.
