Currently we are not planning to limit casting, as long as a stream applies & is approved, whomever wants to may cast it.

It'll be interesting seeing which players sign up now. Inno and Byun are online cuppers so I predict they will be there, but it'd be great if the player pool mirrored GSLs.
I dunno why Classic stayed there for so long. I think he should have committed to attacking either the 3rd or the natural and force fielded behind himself.

Steins;Gate is really good imo, it might not be one of the best animes ever but it's plenty good. If you have only seen 10 episodes and like it, it'll definitely get even better.

The -only- reason I stopped at 10 was because I wouldn't be able to find the time to binge the rest of the show. A buddy of mine once told me to save up for that. It's not like Eva where I was able to watch most of it disjointed.
Gaming <-> movies is such an awkward transition though, because the storytelling goes from interactive <-> passive immediately.
I'm gonna say that movies based on games is generally worse, because the most common flaw with games based on movies is that they just try to be the movie, and only gamers who'd try it out suffer.
I would say it's about the same tbh Movies based on games are shit tier, games based on movies are shit tier as well, why even bother identifying if it's shit tier 1 or 2
If you had the choice between your least favourite ice cream and your second least favourite... not much of a choice because the overall experience is still not what you seek.
I have no experience with Harry potter games so i just have to believe you. Then games based on movies win i guess, because the other way around there surely aren't any good examples

Movies based on games is for sure harder to find good ones. Mostly because people agreed to let Uwe Boll make a lot of them.
Hahaha Uwe Boll, yeah not the greatest for sure :D
O K A Y time out. FF movies to me don't count at all because they're made by the exact same people that made the games, aren't they? So they're just 1h30m voiced cinematics?

maybe it has something to do with nostalgia but the battle scenes are really well made and it's also pretty emotional
Yeah they certainly were. I think the issue I had with 2k was how they made everything so "THIS IS THE END OF THE WORLD ASH! SAVE IT YOU'RE THE CHOSEN ONE!" etc etc. I found his plot armour a bit too thick, but 1 was great.

Yeah, those are mostly super long cutscenes actually.
Also the movies I listed are only ones with international theatrical releases. Who knows what you could find if you spend a few hours going through Rotten Tomatoes and stuff.

Haha dunno. It's just that it's a pokemon movie I mean i watched that in cinema back then, but i was like 7 years old and cried because my red edition save was gone one day
I think Pokemon movies in that time frame were definitely kids' stuff because didn't they recently start designing stuff for their now-aging audience?
I still find that's kinda one of my biggest gripes with the normal Pokemon anime, where it's just made for kids. When they did stuff like Origins it was so much more hype.

Yeah i think it will be at least decent tbh. Might actually be really good in the end
I think I twice saw a part of a FF movie somewhere, maybe a bus, or someone else watching it or whatever. It made absolutely zero sense and only towards the end of the first occurrence I realized that all of the people are actually 3D renderings. For some reason I remember that one of the movies had a post-credits scene, advertised in the subtitles, where some character was just driving through a nice landscape and it was supposedly a big deal, again making exactly zero sense.
A movie that does not hold any meaning on its own just doesn't seem like a very good plan for a movie to me

well, not everyone watches a lot of movies. I think too that it's the best movie out of the 3 or so I've seen last year.
I simply like stories and every media which gives me some :D I mean it doesn't have to be a newly released movie either seen in cinema to count
I barely watch anything tbh. Also if you ask me "What are the best movies you saw last year?" I'm gonna assume you mean new ones and not gonna start talking about The Dark Knight and stuff.

It's pretty bad imo, one of those movies the studios couldn't resist to intensively meddle with
I mean it's imo pretty mediocre overall, i wouldn't say it is "bad" though because there are things done really well in it. Like on a scale i cannot see it having below 5/10 tbh, which would result in the term "bad movie"

It could have been a lot better if they made it into an smart heist movie for instance, now it's really nothing apart from fan service. And the effects are good but that's a given at this point.
Sure, so what is the best movie you have seen the past few weeks?
I recently saw a very nice Norwegian film, no joke

Sounds good to me, i liked fargo quite a bit, both the movie and the tv series
I binge watched the season 1 of the TV series on some long flight. Man, I am really getting to hate Martin Freeman - which is a positive thing because he plays these really hateable characters, so that's good acting

I didn't watch the series but the movie is hilarious. If you like Fargo, you'll like this.
I also learned from it that there are a lot of similarities between Dutch and Norwegian, same as Swedish. I could actually understand quite a bit without looking at the subtitles. Heh, dunno why I had to mention that :p

Haha yeah i can see why, don't wanna spoil anything here though ^^ Billy Bob Thornton was also great in it imo, Fargo is imo definitely one of the better series of the last years.

Give it a try,i think you would like it. It is close in style and atmosphere to the movie.
Well i don't speak any of these languages so i guess i cannot have the same experience there
edit: but yeah this is extremely off topic for the last few pages, sorry :/

Yeah, the whole series essentially lives with Thornton's character, almost everything he says is instant classic I know that it would get old fast and that the one-series per story format is perfect for this material, but it's still sad that there will never be anything more of that.

Not even Oldboy? One of my favorite movies of all time for sure. Also "Memories of Murder" is awesome. In general i try to follow certain directors because it's imo the bes way to get quality content. So yeah pretty much anything "Park Chan-wook" has done is pretty good imo.

As impressive as it is, i wonder what would have happened if he just put his colossi further in the back and microed them the old way, so he could actually warpin reinforcements, or even focus the vikings with stalkers

Kind of strange really. He is doing well and all but when it comes to important offline events, he just fails off the rails for no reason.
What? He lost 2-3 to Dark at last IEM and was one game away from going to group stage 2 in GSL. It's not like he won every offline tournament last year, look at his SSL, GSL season 1 and crossfinals results. Wouldn't be too worried

Whats ridiculous is it cost 50 energy and last 60 seconds
OP will be updated later once we have new bracket links but due to massive reshuffling due to IEM here's how the following will play out for Feb/March BTSL: FEB:
Monthly finals - Friday March 17th
MARCH:
Cup #1 - March 18th Cup #2 - March 19th Cup #3 - March 22nd Monthly Finals - March 23rd
Sorry for not updating here, we've been all over the place playing catch up since IEM. I'm not at home right now so I can't access the OP thread to edit it but he following is the new schedule:
BTSL Season 2 Finals: March 19 (all players invited, have been contacted) BTSL Season 3 #1: April 3 BTSL Season 3 #2: April 10 BTSL Season 3 #3: April 17
Thanks to a new partnership with Matcherino, the weekly prize pools have doubled, and the monthly prize pool gains an additional $100! (+ anyone is feeling generous to increase it out of their own pocket)
For the month of June, we'll be missing a large portion of the month due to WCS Qualifiers, Zombiegrub flying to Korea + both Zombiegrub & Rifkin flying to Toronto for the Gameland Invitational. Rather than cancel a month worth of cups, we're temporarily restructuring BTSL as well as the Corsair Cup to better fit our schedule. Overall prize pools for the month will remain the same, but be combined to create 1 large prize.
New format is as follows: - 8 Players invited - 2x4 player groups leading to Ro4
We're changing things up. We'll be inviting 8 players to compete based on participation in previous seasons, with an entire month's prize pool combined into one gigantic prize pool. https://matcherino.com/b/tournaments/6737/description

Can't INnoVation stop participating in every online tournament just 2 weeks before blizzcon ? You don't see Rogue Dark or herO... Also why is TY starting to participate in those tournament after not playing online for monthes ><

Can't say better. He is also good at failling blizzcon
I'm a bit surprised Stats won that last game. It didn't seem like it was going that well for him. But +2 attack and no libs for TY make a huge difference I suppose.

I mean, all those players took part in the Master's Colosseum, so it's not like inno is the only one.

Big difference in prize pools for "weekly" cups and Master's Colosseum.

you've been roundly criticized for some bad things you've done. you also deserve credit for the good stuff you do..and this is better than good... its great. great work.

Not sure why Rogue decided to push across the map vs chargelots with nothing but hydras. There was no way they weren't just going to get chased down and die
