Yeah dying to proxy oracles and pylons probably isn't fun. For me though I constantly die to those stupid liberator mine and tank pushes at my third. Super frustrating to play against.

I personally really don't enjoy playing abusive stuff like those tank pushes with mines and liberators to the third. So when I do those I'm not having fun. But when I don't do that the games are very exhausting so I'm not having super much fun either. Which is not even taking into account pylon rushes and stuff like that.
TvP is easily the 2nd worst thing about playing Terran.

Baneling busts aren't hard to hold if you see them coming. If you don't it's rough.

I get what ZombieGrub means, the Zest mass gateway style was cool to watch. But it's just not good now. Mines, liberators, buffed tanks would just make those armies implode.

Okay so I'm not sure how exactly this ended up happening, but the Scarlett vs Kelazhur best of 3 took 5 games. The starting map for the Ro32 was meant to be Echo. But before they got to Echo, they played on Newkirk and Vaani.

I play mostly mech in tvt though (about 80-90% of my tvts) and that seems to work quite well. I am low diamond though, i feel you are quite a bit higher there. In my TvT experience you don't have to be the constant aggressor and holding area is way easier with a few tanks, i like that :D (i wouldn't describe me as turtle player though)

I'll concede yesterday was an especially bad day, but let's see... 3-rax reaper, proxied and not proxied, proxy cyclone, and I'm pretty sure there was a thor drop in there at some point too.
No worries though, if the games go longer my winrate skyrockets to 50%.

One very sad person went mech, made a planetary at his 3rd and never lived to take a 4th.
On some maps i simply always build a second reaper and go for a few cyclones myself. Pretty decent against anything really imo. I pretty much always get an engineering bay and 2-3 turrets though, at my lvl i really don't need to cut any corners i feel like^^ Also as i said, i rather build more vikings than going for any medivacs, i think air dominance >> dropping a few hellbats

not sure where in the series that was. but yeah, soO rekt Stats after that very nice first game.
There was good variety in that series though... good response from Stats in game 1 to the mutas w/o phoenixes, into turtle tempest archon. g2: holds early pool but the transition into 3gates and forge is a wash when all his units are caught out by soO's ravager-roach-ling all-in. g3: fast mass hydra timing crushes the 3base carrier rush, with Stats mothership core morphing so no overcharge and his 8 cannons a bit too late.

Might happen, he's probably the most consistently top-tier player we've ever had and the best Kespa player to come over imo.
Not for me. He's too dependent on Terran being favored over the other races whenever he wins. Early HotS with bio/mine TvZ, late HotS with mech TvZ. HIs mid HotS GSL win was in a bracket with DRG, Cure and soO in the finals. There were Zest, soO before finals, Rain, Stats in the tournament as well but all killed each other. I wasn't impressed. Then he sucked for a while and now he's good again when Terran is the strongest race.

Stats was in his Ro16 group (as were PartinG and Maru), what's a man to do? Was he supposed to get 2nd in that group to have a more impressive run in the bracket stages while at the same time making sure Cure reaches the GSL finals? Conceptually hilarious though.

I mean Mvp won three out of 4 GSLs when it was called GomTvT. One of these three was a tournament with half of the players being foreign invites, which shouldn't even count as a GSL to begin with. Innovation has an incredible winrate for a player who "sucked" during times. This whole Mvp narrative is imo simply overhyped, especially because he played during a time where a big amount of the talent pool was still playing bw => less competitive time
I once played a game like this on Newkirk. After 40 minutes my opponent complained my playstyle was boring. Joke's on him, it was just a reaction to how he was playing.

Sometimes i get into position to deny the other terran a third base and i am content with that (meanign i don't necessarily try to push into the natural/main) Usually players flame me for being boring but obviously they don't leave till they get that a hidden base won't do it either

I'm surprised how little I get accused of maphacking considering all the hidden bases I keep finding on 4-player maps. There's one every game on Honorgrounds.

There were some people who liked toying around with mech against Protoss, especially for dank snipe builds in teamleagues. SuperNova and Bbyong probably did it the most out of anyone. The last actual professional mech vs Protoss game I saw was TY vs Billowy in November. But then I think I'd have to go back over 1 year to find the next one.

Didn't stop people from trying. Even though they lost to almost everything all the time. But to contrast that I could also find games of mech players losing blink stalkers, immortal drops or even carriers.

Yes, they're really strong against mech. But in HotS carriers were a meme more so than an actual unit people had to take seriously.

And now you gave up playing almost entirely because of ZvZ. DARKING was counting on you man.
ByuL just made the late HotS anti-mech army and surprisingly, it still works.

Good. What happened though?
a bad streak of 5 games that turned into a bad streak of 15 games. Solo Q isn't for people of my temper.

Did ByuN just have a stroke? He just tried to take a base that already had 4 siege tanks on the high ground behind it. I mean I get that in a base race every second of mining is precious but that's not how you do it.
Okay after checking the LP page I have to say I'm confused.
aLive was 2nd in the standings, but he wasn't in the bracket. INnoVation was joint 9th in the standings, but he was in the bracket. At the same time there was an IQ Cup group today, INnoVation was supposed to play in that. But he didn't, aLive did. But INnoVation also no-showed for this.
omg heros PvT is just completely unwatchable. from now on when I see hero against any terran i will just turn it off and just dont bother. same abusive shit every game...
A fan of herO but very disappointed with his play. Uncontrollable cheese/all-in to full extreme. If he didn't want to play, just don't play. Not sure why playing too cheesy and all-in for what exactly? To be done with this quickly?

Gumiho seems to be showing his hand. I hope he doesn't win the battle only to lose the war. The again he does have an enormous number of builds. Perhaps he has a different plan for the GSL.

Given that soO was the guy who did the only-baneling build against Protoss in Shoutcraft a couple days before GSL Season 1 Finals, I think its a safe bet that he was hiding builds. Gumiho tho....
Also I assume Inno was using this tournament to train soO more.

it's not that, Neeb 3-0's Solar and Nerchio and other really good Zergs, but Impact seems to beat him (online of all places), it's like bly who seems to always beat Neeb despite being not nearly as accomplished. But no one would say Bly is better than Neeb, neither is Impact

Bly beats him with trickery. Impact just beat him straight-up. So maybe you're completely off on your judgement for Neeb or Impact.

I didn't see the games, I just follow how impact plays in VSL and SSL, and he seems more gimmicky than macro-based I might be wrong though
Question: Is Crank 100% a commentator now? Or does he still stream gameplay of SC2 games occasionally (or even regularly)? Don't watch his stream as often so I'm just curious!!!

Heads up! Tonight's cast has additional changes to our foreign streams:
- MMA will be joining today's Korean cast on Crank's channel - We've added a legitimate Russian caster Psinsin, so I hope all our Russian viewers will stop watching unauthorized rebroadcasts and tune into Psinsin's stream.
First game : INno did a greedy 3 cc, lost 11 vcs on baneling drop ( 0 reaction), elazer took a really good fight with fungal on a lot of marines and two angles ( but bad upgrades ), INno won without doing nothing special.
Second game INno won thanks to 6 hellions and 1 reaper.

First game could have gone either way, if one or two banelings reached the fungaled marines, in fact Elazer would most likely have won the game. Second game was indeed a simple mistake on the part of Elazer, queens moved in 2-3 seconds too late and too many drones died.

Some of them did lol, he just had not enough + bad upgrades, that was the maximum that he could expect + "if", "if" INno reacted to the baneling drop the game would have been even more one sided

Disgustingly good early game from INno in that second game.
I just saw the bracket; INno and TY didn't have really strong opponents, it's surprising that Elazer took out Stats; and I'd like to see more of Rogue and Dark online
Inno is looking suprisingly weak this game. He keeps not paying attention to drops and losing them. Also setting up siege positions and forgetting to siege the actual tanks
Tomorrow's OlimoLeague features some changes in format.
Weekly #106 will be played on the balance test mod.
The maps for OlimoLeague have also changed: Abyssal Reef (어비셜 리프) Ascension to Aiur (어센션 투 아이어) Odyssey LE (오딧세이) Black Pink LE (블랙핑크) Neon Violet Square LE (네온 바이올렛)
And the winner of this week's OlimoLeague will be invited to SHOUTcraft November!

It's pretty well known that almost every terran player is a little depressed right now. Terran lost almost all build safety and harass options. It might seem 'good on paper' but terrans are easily predicted now and more corners can be cut. You know the game is destroyed balance wise when casters at all events have to comment on it multiple times even during short matches. I simply feel bad for any terran player who makes their living playing a 'strategy' game right now.

Yeah I know it is intentional. Just Rifkin and his way of handling things I guess. He does have the right here.
I'm still confused they didn't touch oracles at all when the plan with the patch was to reduce moments of sudden, game-ending damage. Oracles hitting when the first factory unit is done is pretty ridiculous.
EDIT: it has been sorted out on good terms, scboy will now have permission to restream basetrade's content as long as BTTV's brand exposure is not affected.
I have talked to both sides of the story and relayed a apology message from xiaose to Rifkin. Hope things get sorted out quickly.

Don't worry, someone on reddit said it's fine terrans just need to learn a new timing for missile turrets

Pretty sure chrono is the core problem (though I wouldn't complain if oracles got nerfed if only for the sake of PvP). It probably enables other problematic timings (stalker timings maybe) which aren't being played right now since oracles are the most obvious abuse.
He played poorly. he losed to one nydus in one game. In another he let he huge zergling runby pass and take 3/4 of his probes (then got rolled over by hydra baneling + ling drops).
