I feel like DnS could have sneaked out storm at some point. No, it wouldn't have solved the liberator issue, but it would have helped more than the Colossus if it pushed back the bio while the stalkers were sniping them down.
Liberators didn't make that much, Heromarine just 3-base all-ined to death after getting a big opening advantage, and yep in every MU 40+ more army supply can compensate a 2-upgrade lead. ( 2-2 vs 2-0 )

HeroMarine didn't have a 40-army supply lead when their first major fight happened outside of the 3rd. He had liberators.

Dumb? Not for the non-americans.
None of them can beat Serral, so why should you care?

Nah, terrans just cried enough for their race to be broken on the current map pool :D
Is the map pool to blame?
In TvZ Backwater is very good for terran, Eastwatch is good particularly as the game goes late, but the others don't seem too bad one way or another (Abio is arguably good for a terran with the right mindset).
From a zerg perspective I guess it is a downgrade from having maps like Odyssey around...

If the map pools is Terran favored, what will the TvZ win rates be in a neutral map pool? Low 40s?

I definitely say Catalyst wasn't to blame for Nerchio playing the entire game from behind after losing 21 workers to banshees cause he didn't have a spore in his natural

Depends on which Terrans get to play.
Korea uses different map pools, so in this case, non Koreans.

soul might get there, but I don't think he has the economy to rebuild on that for long.
Playing the attrition game is probably Nerchio's highest win percentage play, but he could have probably won 10 minutes ago and now this game will likely go 40+.
Nerchio is going to win after throwing a lead a 1000 times and then come here to complain that he couldn't win because terran OP and we don't know anything saying when we said he could win at any point,

nah man youre right the top foreign players of all time should be listening to forum posts about how to play. that's why they aren't in GSL. all the koreans listen to forum posts, and that's why they're good
I think the ro8 bracket for EU challenger is already determined (due to the wcs rules): Serral vs Stephano && Heromarine vs Nerchio && Uthermal vs Showtime && Elazer vs PtitDrogo -> reasoning: https://bit.ly/2r1PziR

i mean clearly serral is a heavy favorite but if there are players to upset him, these are all good choices.
for semis i gotta predict serral, heromarine, .. and last two are really tough but I guess I go with showtime and ptitdrogo
Yeah, HeRoMaRinE has been performing well against Nerchio recently, so i think (and hope) he will qualify.
Serral is for sure the heavy favorite in his ro8 mathc (and in his semifinals too).
I think Elazer against PtitDrogo will be close, favoring Drogo because of the Ping from Korea for Elazer.
SchoWTimE vs uThermal will be a close one too, i think. But because of the current state of TvP ShoWTimE should be the favorite. Still i hope uThermal can beat him.

heromarine in general is amazing and underrated. he doesn't seem to compete as much as other people of his caliber.. not sure why. but he often puts up some of the best performances of any foreigner.
Stephano is way too much supply blocked... and the outmultitask was hard on the last game, gg serral even if on the last phase, his opponent throwed 2 packs of unit :/
Easy to cheer for Serral, I want a foreigner that can compete with the best (aka koreans) and he is the only one that really shows some promise in that regard, as he has improved immensely in comparison to say 2 years ago. I wish he was stronger against Terrran though, I think HeroMarine could actually take him out for that reason. Other guy I'll be cheering for is uThermal, which is also the only foreigner I'd see favored against Serral (sadly ^^).
(Yes yes, Neeb, Special and Scarlett have shown good results too, but those have been pretty long in the state that they can do beat koreans sometimes. Also they're not EU.)

I mean uThermal himself said during the final day of NW5 that he'd still consider Serral the favorite against himself. The edge is probably one of smaller ones for Serral though when it comes to playing against foreigners, especially if uthermal doesn't go full tilt.

no way a foreign terran can beat Serral. he smashed Special at the last WCS who's better than thermal or Heromarine.

you may be right in a bo5. i just saw him losing against uThermal in some online tournament recently, but I think that was only bo1.

In bo1 anyone can beat anyone. People think Serral has poor ZvT because he lost to Maru but forget that not every terran can play like Maru.

Yeah, uThermal held a big roach ravager all-in long enough on a map he got to choose in the PeopleImages thing.

Did the casters always spend this much time hyping up Serral? It gets pretty tedious after awhile hearing the same stuff over and over. Saying he's the best foreigner ten more times doesn't change the fact that he's.....still the best foreigner.
I hope Serral doesn't turn into 2017 Neeb, the constant hype got pretty cringeworthy by the time Valencia rolled around.

He won't. Protoss wasn't super OP when Neeb was dominating, so even if Serral wins 3/4, it won't be nearly as impressive.
Okay Serral is obviously really good but is it just me or are all the players suddenly brain dead when playing against him?Just wtf was that from uthermal? Heromarine played extremely poorly for his standards as well. Oh man

I do hope we get a Neeb-Serral final, I would not give up on Neeb too quickly on stage in a lan he may be able to retake his throne.

Neeb beating Rogue is more impressive than anything Serral has ever done, especially since all of Serral's victories of note have come in ZvP which has been somewhere between borderline unlosable and very Zerg favored the entire time.
I wouldn't put ZvP in the unwinnable category the last five months it's only really been around 55% as the best Protosses have won against the best Zergs. Classic has struggled, but his PvZ isn't that great.
However, I do agree that Neeb beating Rogue is more impressive than Serral beating Classic.

PvZ was at ~43% before the dropper lord nerf. According to Aligulac's balance report, there have been only 6 periods in the history of the game with a matchup in a worse state. Hell, I think even notorious anti-Protoss balance whining Zergs were relatively silent and that should tell you something.
