Maru doesn't really like TvZ right now, but Reynor is a foreigner after all. I expect he picks Neeb first, probably swaps Keen or someone into the group.

Ooh I'm not sure about swapping Keen in. Keen almost knocked out Maru in the ro32 of GSL s1, and from my understanding, has pretty damn good TvT, so Maru might be fearing that.
Maru definitely will pick Neeb - I'd be surprised if he went for anyone else. As Fango said, Maru would rather play fewer zergs so Neeb is the preferred opponent over Reynor.

What do you mean by Maru doesn't like TvZ? Is it your own conclusion or he expressed himself on the matter?
Here's my possible prediction: Maru will pick either Neeb or Reynor in his group then will help his JAGW to turn the favors for them (advance in the quarterfinals). He's got Rogue, $O$ and Trap, so of course he wants them to advance. Is the player responsible for swapping two players still gonna be Maru?

He's said it in pretty much every interview. He even expected to lose to soO.

Just for shits and giggles, I'd love for them to reveal that there's a surprise "guest participant" in the Ro16, then Enter the Sandman plays and Serral comes out WWE style. Worth it just to see the Koreans' reactions.

Dark is just an idiot honestly, how can you be so dumb and always get into the group of death by picking a strong first opponent? Though in this case he might get saved by maru swapping out rogue in the end

picking gumi was really so dumb, i can't believe it. he always gives no fucks in selections. dark should learn sometime

Dark deserves it for all the terrible groups he has created before. Also for his refusing to be picked that one time.

Didn't you hear. The gap has closed.
Lmao what is with herO music.
Now all we need is Serral suddenly appearing, switching himself with Impact, grabbing the mic, staring intensely into the camera and saying "the gap HAS closed".

Can't swap the first player in each group.
Can't believe Maru will end up with Neeb, Reynor and Impact.
Given the format, it's actually kind of inevitable for #1 seed to get a super easy group unless his first pick actively picks a really hard opponent, or the other 12 actively try to force jinair team kills
I would so loved to see Neeb and Reynor winning group A. The reactoins on TL and ... related channels would be absolutely hillarious. Just what I need in these times of dread!

If Maru loses to any of these two players I'll probably be banned again so I don't want it to happen.
Ridiculous groups haha. Poor Rogue... I dont think he is going to advance with his current ZvT form. He would have to practice hard and switch again into Roguejwa mode.
Btw looking at the group there is a good chance that no Zerg advances to Ro8. I would bet on 1 and that would be Reynor (kinda hilarious thought)

I don't want you to get banned, but I do want to see what would you post to that effect

What? I think it looks great for the Zergs and Reynor is the least likely to make it.
Impact has an excellent shot at second. Dark's ZvT is still worldclass and seems to have the edge over Rogue in ZvZ lately. Rogue himself shouldn't be underestimated given his recent ZvT stats, he's one of few Zergs that just wins when it counts. I might be blinded by fandom, but based off of what Leenock did to Dear in the ro32 and only have 1 mu to prep for (which he's quite comfortable in) I'd call him the favorite of his group.
I wonder if GSL vs The World made Maru, Dark and Stats think twice about their picks. All three of them avoided picking a zerg, even though Leenock was there as well as Impact and Reynor. Was it due to their losses to Serral (all three lost to Serral, one in a BO1, another in a BO5 and the last one in a BO7)?
Seriously fuck this website. I tried to share an interesting piece of information about the origin of Innovation's ID and I just get corrected with a snarky comment. Innovation's first professional match in an individual league with the ID "Innovation" took place most likely after he watched the drama I mentioned in the comment originally. Something like a week after the drama aired Bogus changed his ID to Innovation. When I realized my mistake in my original comment I tried to edit it but I wasn't fast enough and someone managed to leave a snarky comment pointing out my error just a couple minutes after my comment.

How do we determine whether this info is legit or Bogus?

I realized my mistake almost immediately after I made the comment but it's like people on this website just sit around waiting for someone to say something barely incorrect just so they can show off how smart and knowledgable they are. You don't have to correct every tiny fucking thing that someone says wrong. Innovation played a small handful of proleague matches under the ID Bogus before his name change.

C'mon, that was just supposed to be funny. Nobody is sitting around waiting for someone to whatever ...

I wish that after the group selection Neeb and Reynor would've said that they will just get some coaching from Serral since they can't train with each other anymore :D

Hello, welcome to the website. There are all different kinds of people here. I doubt they meant to offend you. Some people probably appreciated the comment that you made.

Like every other group this year, only way he loses is if he gets cocky and doesn't practice. Having two zergs might pose and issues but its unlikely.
I think keen and unfortunately zest may be weaker than reynor. but zest also has capability to get in form easily I think, so maybe just keen.
I hope the foreigners practice a lot and one of them makes it through. two making through would be wild though.
I think Neeb has a chance. I have no idea how good/bad his PvT is, but I think his PvZ is good enough to challenge Impact and Reynor. Maybe he can upset Maru (that would be incredible) and advance first, one can hope right? I don't think he played Maru that much though. The real question is am I too dumb to hope for both Reynor and Neeb to make it out of group A? Also that Group of Death --> B , Dark definitely wanted Neeb but Maru beat him to it LOL

LOL
Zest and Keen weaker than Reynor? Reynor went 2-2 versus Classic and now he's better than the second best protoss of all time? Keen is a beast too. Reynor gets trashed at events against foreigners without fail, Zest makes GSL finals.
The foreigner bias of some of you is so strong that it makes me laugh in real life.

He doesn't. If you watched his stream you'd know that Dark thinks he's definitely better than Serral. He says he was just not in good form that day but that next time he'll take the matchup more seriously. He's completely confident that the next time they face, that he'll crush Serral.

Typical Dark over-confidence. He's really really good. But if he said that he's just the typical cooky-Dark

True, Serral outplayed him pretty handily tbh and even the game dark won serral basically lost due to a small overlord spotting mistake. Hopefully they play again soon, i wanna see if dark can act on his statements or not
