Oh, created yesterday already. Thanks!
|
I'm probably asking a stupid question but what's the practical difference between this, and a HomeStory Cup? The prize pool size? I'm sure it'll be sweet though so I'm tuning in.

...prize pool and only a few players a physically there, the others play online...

Thanks, I guess I should learn to read announcements. But I typically don't with TaKeTV stuff since I'm gonna watch it without worrying about details.
|
I think the language of the main stream is also going to be german. I'm looking forward to it, these are always fun and I hope Bunny and Solar being in points towards them being at HSC aswell! €: actually since it says Wardii and Rotterdam are gonna be there maybe there's gonna be an english main stream?

I believe Wardi mentioned on his stream that the main stream would be in English.
The initial announcement on Facebook seems to confirm this:
RotterdaM08 and Wardi TV will cast this Penthouse Party together with Dennis Gehlen and Silvano 'NarutO' Bovo on our twitch channel:
|
Wow, that is 4 beastly players right there
|
I watched the previous ones on the main channel and i can't remember if they casted in english or german, languages melt together in my brain when watching sc2 :D

btw, Inno and more join the fun!
|
Innovation, nice. I wonder which players will be there, since there should be huge lags for some players considering where they are from.

I wouldn’t be too shocked if the Koreans got flown to Krefeld.

More players announced: Neeb, MCanning, Lambo, Zanster.
|
Any news for the last eight players? Looking forward to this Friday already.
|
INnoVation cancelled, but GuMiho is taking his place so all is well.
|
Got an update that Serral is not playing either. No info regarding the replacement.
|
Groups: https://challonge.com/TPP4live
We are starting like following:
Group A: Lambo vs Gerald | Bly vs PtitDrogo Group B: uThermal vs Kas | Zanster vs Shadown
all of those games will be at the same time. We decided to do match 1 & 2 of the groups at the same time. Following will be winners match > elimination match > decider match.
Groups: https://challonge.com/TPP4live
Plan is to do: A/B > C/D > E/F and G/H will either start at 8PM or a bit earlier depending on how quick we are.
|
Thanks for the update, NarutO. At which time will you start each day? Same as last time, around 10:00 GMT (+00:00)?

Starting in ~1 hour, 11:00 GMT (+00:00).
|
I hope Shiek advances alongside Bunny, since I might not have time to watch their matches today!
|
Looks like I somehow submitted Zanster vs ShoWTimE on the event calendar, while it actually was ShaDoWn who played. Well, at least the event is on the calendar.
|
Got home 2 hours early today and Penthouse Party is live, what great start to the weekend!

This has a pretty great lineup but man, it feels like it came out of nowhere and there was no hype built up for it. Maybe it was just me not paying attention though
|
Hm, Neeb was too confident I guess.
|
Yeah, no way Neeb can advance from his BC group stage if he can't beat Bunny LUL
|
Main stream is in English this time around, but it's listed as German on here. Could anybody fix that maybe?

What more can you do? Nobody upvotes tournament posts on r/starcraft - there was already a TL thread, TakeTV announced players a few at a time via Twitter, me and Rotti talked about it while streaming.
The only thing that wasn't done I think was perhaps TL Calendar. Barely any online SC2 events find themselves with enough "presence" anymore.

I enjoy watching Olimoleague and BTSL. What surprises me is more people don't watch Ballistix Brawl even though it airs every week when the season happens. I think people just moved onto other games now when it's not GSL or WCS or big LAN events. Maybe I'm burnt out with SC2 but I really enjoy watching CS:GO and LoL right now.

I heard about it from the TeamLiquid thread (don't use Twitter). Adding it to the TL calendar would help for quickly checking when it starts. I forgot when it started but tuned in when I saw the TakeTV channel I follow was live with Rotti and yourself in the preview.

I'm not sure who or how TL calendar and Liquipedia are updated but I'm surprised that I cannot find this pretty stacked tournament in the calendar section for today & no recent results of the group stage. Am i missing something?

The results are available on Liquipedia. According to TakeTV's Twitch channel, it will start today at 12:30pm (GMT+2)

So much Terran for a change and only 4 zergs left. At least 1 very strong zerg will be eliminated in group A as well.
I guess we will have a Solar vs Terran final. I would like Bunny to win it all!

Thanks, I totally missed the 2nd group stage on Liquipedia. Next time I'll drink my morning coffee BEFORE checking results

The fact that day 1 wasn't listed earlier on the calendar was because there was zero time schedule. I'm pretty sure the 13:00 CEST starting time, which was first displayed at the challonge.com bracket (afaik), was posted less than 24h before the tournament. Shortly after I saw that I submitted the event to the calendar and Rich was pretty fast at adding it.
As for day 2 not yet on the calendar, yesterday there was no info aside from maybe on the stream itself which I didn't see. I submitted it just now, but now it's maybe too late to get added in time and would mostly be for people that know about it anyway.
edit: Nvm, pretty much instantly approved. ^^ I'm not sure about the time though, readmore.de says 13:30 CEST. I put in 12:30 which would be even more wrong than the 13:00 that somehow went through.
|
It was also mentioned in "this week in starcraft" on the pylon show.

1 PM is correct, the stream will go live at 12:30, but they will just show big Gabe dancing until the show starts.
|
We start with group B.
B > A > C > D
Match 1/2 same time Winners/Losers same time Decider
---------------------
Starting at 1PM with
GuMiho vs Soul Solar vs PtitDrogo
Best of 5.
|
Gumi vs Solar now. That's a good one!
|
3PM > Quarterfinal 1&2 4PM > Quarterfinal 3&4 5PM > Semifinal 1 & LB Round1 - 1 6PM > Semifinal 2 & LB Round1 - 2 7PM > LB Round 2 1/2 8PM LB Round 3 9PM Winners Final 10PM Losers Final 11PM Grand Finals
This is a rough mockup - we will probably run LB R3 and winners final at the same time depending on schedule and how quick we are . So tomorrow start is 3PM
|
That was a great game 1 between Solar and Gumiho. Woah.
Also wouldn't have thought that souL wins against Drogo.
|
|
Jesus, white font on yellow like on the stream is unreadable.
No surprise in group B, although souL was better than I expected and I thought Solar would win the group.
Oh jeez... Elazer 3-0 Lambo
and now 2-0 against Reynor, such a ZvZ pro.
|
|
I just want to say that i love Take's events. Keep up the good job!
|
Uh oh, is Elazer going to lose the series now?
Niiice, well deserved 3-2 for Elazer.
|
Great event as usual!
Minor issue, GameHeart isn't being consistently used so we aren't always seeing the workers lost count roll up on the left.

Another minor observer issue, player colours keep changing between games in a series, which can be confusing for mirror match ups.
Great show!
|
Got 5000 viewers, but a dead LR. What?
|
I've never seen so many throws in a single game.
|
On October 07 2018 06:43 geokilla wrote: Got 5000 viewers, but a dead LR. What?
It seems a lot of people do their live game watching chatting in the Twitch chat or on various Discord channels these days.
Also, there was some bot spamming anyone in Twitch chat for a while that might've discouraged chat activity.
|
It's incredibly hard to pick one of the players to win the tournament... pretty even matched playoffs tbh.
|
Would love to see something else than "coming back soon" still image during a break. Here's a suggestion, add one camera pointing to some random location which has movement (players/casters/outside), and have the video feed heavily blurred as a background for the break graphics. It would give a bit more life to the stream as a long still image can be mistaken as an offline stream.
Other than the late schedule and player announcements this event has been great so far. Keep it up, and let's hope for a great playoffs matchups.

Buff infestors! Is it? I'm pretty sure Serral played only roaches and a few times roach into some mutas at the last WCS. Or at very least most of the games.

god damn game 5 gumi vs reynor is siiiiick

I think people wouldn't be so upset if neeb was just "falling apart" in games. It's much more that he uses good micro/decision-making to get good, sometimes massive, leads and methodically throws them away.
