Always a treat to watch Serral play. It's just sad that the group have three zergs as ZvZ is pretty boring to watch.

I disagree, this is not BW. ZvZ can be messy but it's definitely entertaining when it's played at the highest level!

No picture for Namshar? Weird since he seems pretty well known player. GL Serral.

Is observing always this bad?

Decent showing by SoulSpirit.
|
Soulspirit was pretty good, could see him advancing.
|
Easy win for Serral like expected

I wish they ask the 3rd caster to observe and put a longuer break between EU and NA to give them some rest instead.

If the 3rd caster was observing then we’d be doing 8 hour broadcasts with no breaks and you’d see both the observing and the casting break down pretty quickly. We can’t do longer breaks cause of timezones(chinese players for example are already staying up crazy late, want Americas to not go too late for EU viewers, etc.)

Fair enough, keep up the good work

That was a weird game, well done Ziggy.
|
Nice. Now go get the 2nd SoulSpirit, love seeing some new names (for me at least) doing well.
|
Ziggy seemed to forget that tricking a player into over committing on defense from fake aggression early means they can just counter punch you in the face...
|
|
|
SoulSpirit looked way better against Serral, let's see who gets through as #2.

Not a bad game, not sure if the mutalisks were worth it.
|
whaaaaaat that gg??????????
edit: Coffee is playing pretty well, definitely got the better TvT from what it looks like.

Who is this Coffe guy he is doing good.

really nice nydus play from TLO

Missed the games, is Serral still as strong as last year? PS: It's nice that feardragon is reacting right here in the thread.

TLO is now officially full NA

Well, Namshar is really good, top 5 EU zerg for sure.

Hum he's probably the 5th or 6th zerg EU but he's well out of the top 10 foreign player for me probably around the top 20 so not really on Serral ball park just yet

He swept through the group as expected. Didn´t take any risks, played it safe for the most part. Seemed strong as always, but it was only ZvZ and the opponents weren´t top notch. But i had the feeling he had less "problems" with Namshar than with SoulSpirit, maybe because he knows Namshar better.

nydys vs nydus is rather hilarious to watch

TLO

This NA group was insanely strong, compared to the rest no? Really good games.
|
meh - sad for TLO. He had a tough transition to NA training-wise (being kinda homeless for some time; training protoss for Deepmind) but some typically unnecessary mistakes for a player of his calibre. I really hope he can get some results in the next WCS tournaments, now his situation in Canada has stabilized.

Kinda, it didin't have a strong first seed but all the player were pretty high level.

To be fair, Silky played really well in that last match. TLO looked like he was playing a bit scared.

Ah, thanks. Well, Group stage 2 with some very strong opponents is in 4 days, so then we will see how he's adapted to the new balance changes. I'm hoping for some ZvT , uThermal vs Serral, now that would be a great match!

Interesting results, I guess it is time to start watching Silky.
